I was in line for 15 mins with only 2 people in front of me. -Not sure how well they train their seasonal staff because our cashier was clueless about working the register, which is why we were waiting so long while the other lanes were moving quicker -It's a glorified "Family Dollar" with more items. Some items I could find cheaper at Walmart or even Target. Not sure if I can tolerate another visit to Big Lots. Not worth the stress.

This is where a lot of the wait time came in here. I was in line at one of the two registers open and it was moving slowly. I didn't mind the wait as the employees were doing their job. They were dropping items right next to you and just not understanding the words 'excuse me.'

The one I selected was in my opinion, a pretty good looking melon. It had the right coloring on the bottom and felt really heavy. However, after returning home, I proceeded to cut into it and I thought it was about to erupt! It started oozing a very strong and foul odor. I have never experienced this before. Given the condition of the melon I immediately bagged it and trashed it. So, the next day I returned to the store to speak with someone at customer service. I spoke with Sharon who was working the customer service department at the time. I told her about my experience and presented her with my receipt. She expressed her disappointment with my situation and asked if I would like to get one in its place. I told her thanks but no thanks. So she provided me with a store credit. She did ask if I had the melon with me to return but I told her there was no way I could bag it and keep it on hand to bring back. It was just too messy and smelly! I just wanted to thank her for assisting me and providing me with a store credit.
