I did find that their pricing is reasonable/a good deal on most of their stuff. I would consider this a "junk store" but not really full of junkie products. One of my items that I got is this cute, small chargeable lamp to keep @ my Mom's house in my room & man I wish I picked up two of them so I can bring back one to Vegas with me...ugh. I found these cat wobble toys that you put cat treats in & your cat will hit the toy causing it to rock & treats to fall out of the hole. I have something like this already & my younger cat LOVES it. My friend wanted one but when I went looking on-line for one the one's I was coming across were crazy $$, I got one for under $3.00. Their dog toys are inexpensive & they have a big selection. I also grabbed a few packs of clearance underwear for men & women along with a pack of t-shirts for $2.00 per package. I grabbed these due to the great deal & to donate to our "kindness closet" @ work for the homeless patients & other's who may need something to wear. They have these hugs cans of nuts for wicked cheap, great for grabbing to bring to a friend's house when headed over for a gathering. Their hair products, body wash & lotions are cheaper than Walmart prices. They also have a sign in the check out line to not forget to pickup a ME Whoopee pie so I grabbed one for only $1.50. The cashier was nice, I didn't catch her name. Don't forget to bring your own bag with ya to put all your goodies in (guess it's a ME thing now) & make sure it's a big one!!! lol

I had been to Marden's before but never saw anything I really loved. This time I went I scored big…read moretime and found Creme de la Mer (ultra high end French skincare product). It was a 1 oz jar for $90. Usually the 1 oz jar is $200. I was able to use checkfresh.com on the item's batch code and see it was from 2021. This didn't bother me though as the product was still in-box and plastic wrapped. I feel so lucky and would definitely come back just to check the glass cases where the more expensive products are.

I made my first visit to Ocean State Job Lots in Biddeford on Saturday...I was looking for Cesars…read morewet dog food for my pet...They were only selling the wet food by the case for $17.99...I asked what the expiration date was on the food...She opened it and handed me a pack...It expired, just like the Sanford Job Lot 3/22/22, 8 months after expiration..The young gentleman worker, maybe a manager, said Oh, its good for like a year after the expiration date...they pulled all of the 8 or more cases...This is what I want to tell the male employee.: If your dog does happens to get into spoiled or expire dog food, you may see signs of general gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting or diarrhea. Just like I told him that my dog had after eating the Sanford expired food. continuing, depending on the pathogen, though your dog may become seriously ill. Bacteria like E. coli can cause life threatening illnesses if left untreated!!! Who is rotating and checking expiration dates in your store.. I surely should'nt need to...I'm going to look in to this further...

Over the years I have visited quite a large portion of the Marden's stores. I will say I believe this is one of the better locations and one of the largest I think. For selection I would say this location has such a huge variety of everything you could imagine plus so many items you wouldn't expect! You will go in looking to buy say a pair of socks or a rug and wind up walking out with a hammer, garden hose, snacks, and who knows what else. Along with the variety you can definitely find deals that are cheaper than anywhere else. I've found you can find some of the best deals on clothing here. Some other items are just worth passing on though oppositely. Have had no major complaints service wise here at all. Friendly staff although checking out may be a bit slower at times. Despite this and the fact some items really aren't worth buying overall a great store to stop at and browse for some good deals!

The stock rotates constantly and there are always people there scouring for store for deals, whether they are buying for themselves or buying to resell. The store is as organized as they can get it, with things changing over so much, they pretty much just organize by the percentage of discount (center of the store) or by the typical "department store categories" The staff seemed to be ok. Very busy and focused - on products or moving customers through the lines efficiently. They definitely were all working hard from what I could see. The parking lot is always 3/4 full.

I've been to the Marden's in Biddeford (twice) & the one in Waterville and out of all 3 I have to say my favorite one is the Biddeford location. A lot of the stuff in here seemed like a lot of junk. No good bag/purse selection, clothes weren't that great & overpriced for a place like this. Their ladies room wasn't up to par either. Don't forget to bring your own bag as they don't have any. The cashier was nice but only after I made conversation with her, she didn't seem to happy to be working there. I only walked out with a couple of things. I definitely wouldn't want to come to this location again & would tell my Mom "let's go to the one in Biddeford!"

What a sad store it has become…read more The clientele was beyond obnoxious, I heard a (what I assume was) a manager/trainer yelling at some boy about how she didn't care WHAT he did, he just needed to figure it out and DO it! The prices have increased, which is to be expected since everything else has gone up, but, $100 for something that's very clearly broken or missing pieces is just insane. When I was a kid, this place was awesome. Today, it's just sad.
