I made my first visit to Ocean State Job Lots in Biddeford on Saturday...I was looking for Cesars…read morewet dog food for my pet...They were only selling the wet food by the case for $17.99...I asked what the expiration date was on the food...She opened it and handed me a pack...It expired, just like the Sanford Job Lot 3/22/22, 8 months after expiration..The young gentleman worker, maybe a manager, said Oh, its good for like a year after the expiration date...they pulled all of the 8 or more cases...This is what I want to tell the male employee.: If your dog does happens to get into spoiled or expire dog food, you may see signs of general gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting or diarrhea. Just like I told him that my dog had after eating the Sanford expired food. continuing, depending on the pathogen, though your dog may become seriously ill. Bacteria like E. coli can cause life threatening illnesses if left untreated!!! Who is rotating and checking expiration dates in your store.. I surely should'nt need to...I'm going to look in to this further...

Housewares, pet and bird feeder supplies. Some good prices, some like everywhere else. It's hit or miss really, but they have some good finds. I went in looking for a sun visor. They didn't have any. Customer service is pretty good. Lots of parking. No AC in the building. That should be a priority to fix for the employees.

Well, I assume they have. At any rate, check out Reny's, they usually have good prices on many things. They also carry a wide assortment of Raye's Mustard (supposedly the only stone ground mill in America) and gonna try some double "burgermot" (how I like to jokingly pronounce it) tea. I was talking with my sister and he immediately told us hey girls loudly he told us that and then he goes. Sorry you were giving me a headache and then when I'm looking at the knifes, he says if you're gonna play then go to the arcade. I'm not a little kid. I'm 17. And I'm certified to use knives and I own now for because I bought it the next day because I really wanted it in the other store didn't have it in my name, but he was really rude. When I went in the next day he was there yes but a different guy served me luckily who was really nice and let me exchange my squishy when the skin was peeling off. I recommend not going. I got a sweatshirt and a sweatshirt so if you would like to get something and the other store doesn't have the thing you want then go because the stuff is cute and everything the price was kind of good for the sweatshirt. The pocket knife wasn't too great kind of high. The screwdriver is kind of loose so it has to be very careful and then the squishy was about $10 and the skin was fill off of it so I got to exchange it and they have air bubbles now and a hole in the closet a little, but I can easily fix that but I still just don't recommend going because the owner is really rude

He carelessly dropped our purchase on the countertop and insisted he had no bags left when we asked for one, even though the customer ahead of us was given a bag. When we walked out he promptly gave the next customer a bag, smiled at us and exclaimed "AMAZING!" as if new bags magically appeared. Never have I ever experienced someone in retail go out of their way to make customers feel like garbage. I will never be back and would strongly advise against shopping here.

There were a lot of miscellaneous home, office and holiday items, but I didn't find anything worth purchasing. They had a decent snack/food area, but the pricing was no deal and the things could be found in any grocery store. The store was a good place to waste time, not sure if it would be a destination that I would need to return to.

Over the years I have visited quite a large portion of the Marden's stores. I will say I believe this is one of the better locations and one of the largest I think. For selection I would say this location has such a huge variety of everything you could imagine plus so many items you wouldn't expect! You will go in looking to buy say a pair of socks or a rug and wind up walking out with a hammer, garden hose, snacks, and who knows what else. Along with the variety you can definitely find deals that are cheaper than anywhere else. I've found you can find some of the best deals on clothing here. Some other items are just worth passing on though oppositely. Have had no major complaints service wise here at all. Friendly staff although checking out may be a bit slower at times. Despite this and the fact some items really aren't worth buying overall a great store to stop at and browse for some good deals!

The stock rotates constantly and there are always people there scouring for store for deals, whether they are buying for themselves or buying to resell. The store is as organized as they can get it, with things changing over so much, they pretty much just organize by the percentage of discount (center of the store) or by the typical "department store categories" The staff seemed to be ok. Very busy and focused - on products or moving customers through the lines efficiently. They definitely were all working hard from what I could see. The parking lot is always 3/4 full.
