Shortly after, I received a call from the cake decorator explaining that the color I requested couldn't be used because it would "bleed through," and she repeatedly tried to convince me to order a cake instead--even though I specifically wanted cupcakes. Then, just 18 hours before my son's party, I received another call saying one of the cake decorators had called out sick and suggesting that I cancel my order and go somewhere else. That was completely unrealistic. There was no way I could find another bakery to take and complete an order within 18 hours. Overall, the communication and lack of reliability caused unnecessary stress right before my child's birthday.
