Their meat tends to spoil a bit quickly; I attribute this to having such a huge variety of products under the counter, where pathogens could possibly transfer between products. Produce is better than Family Fare but worse than Bakers. Product selection isn't amazing--there's often only one or two brands in a particular category.

They carry a few items we cannot get elsewhere. We also do NOT see the "smile in every aisle" like we used to. Quality and selection are excellent. We ate at their "deli??" one time. We miss the old one and have never been back. I got sick off their sushi one time and never bought more. Even the bakery quality has decreased. Oh well, we only come in once a month or less so we will not be missed.

The prices on items are typically at or below other stores. The benefit is getting something different than the normal boring local brands. If you love meats and cheeses you have to check them out. The staff at the checkouts have always been very courteous. The interiors are still big and open with new signage looking similar to a hy*vee store.

The store is clean and spacious and has all the latest products but still manages to feel outdated. They have a deli, salad bar and a little 'café' with an Air Force theme appropriate for the area. Family Fare took over both Bag N Save a No Frills a few years ago. Both were locally owned grocery chains that had a very similar vibe, but still managed to be unique. That said, you can still feel the friendly and grimy No Frills soul in this place. Take a step back in time and enjoy a grocery store that really hasn't changed much at all in the last 30 years.

My big complaint is that they are really not great at keeping things in stock, especially sale/coupon items. Nine times out of ten, the sale/coupon item shelves will be empty if you don't get there first thing in the morning. It has the best prices for the food and snacks my dog likes, has good prices on the medical supplies I buy monthly, and I recently discovered they now carry Guinness in bottles and cans. They also have plenty of self checkout stands and I hardly ever have to wait to check out. But one part about the checkout brings me to the negatives. The single biggest negative is that Walmart does not accept Apple Pay so I have to dig out a physical credit card to pay. And I refuse to use their funky Walmart pay system with QR codes. So I shop here once a month for dog stuff, medical supplies, and Guinness, and make most of my grocery purchases at Baker's, Target or Hy-Vee since they all take Apple Pay.
