I went in on a weekend today, so that is likely the reason for so much more traffic than usual! I would come back to the store again, but would either try to budget plenty of time, or come on a weekday when things may not be as busy.

I was about to spend at minimum $300 there. Makes sense that you have a "Now Hiring" sign outside. When you have staff chasing off your customers in order to NOT do work, I completely understand why you're hiring. I will make sure no one I know goes there again. One time I brought in a Michael Kors bag and they turned it down for "staining." The kicker? I brought in the exact same bag a week later and they bought it. How does that make sense? Most recently, I waited over 2 hours just to be told they wouldn't take anything -- even jewelry, which one of the employees admitted she wanted to buy but was told not to. So it's not about quality, it's just random. Meanwhile, you'll see plenty of similar or worse-quality items on their racks. If you're going to run a resale shop, at least be transparent and consistent with what you accept. Otherwise, you're just wasting people's time. Warning: there's fast turnaround for many of the furniture items here. Items sold here are either vintage items that have been curated and updated (painted, spruced up with new hardware) or new items by makers (candles from Refugee Empowerment Center, tables made by crafters in Kansas City, vases and macrame plant hangers from local makers). They also sell paint, stencils, removable wallpaper, and hardware for those who'd like to try their own DIY. You never know what you'll find here. Some of their items are pieces of history (remade from cargo carriers or sourced pieces of furniture from art museums).
