This place is so inconsistent it's ridiculous. I've sold here a few times when I was short on cash, but every visit feels like a gamble. One time I brought in a Michael Kors bag and they turned it down for "staining." The kicker? I brought in the exact same bag a week later and they bought it. How does that make sense? Most recently, I waited over 2 hours just to be told they wouldn't take anything -- even jewelry, which one of the employees admitted she wanted to buy but was told not to. So it's not about quality, it's just random. Meanwhile, you'll see plenty of similar or worse-quality items on their racks. If you're going to run a resale shop, at least be transparent and consistent with what you accept. Otherwise, you're just wasting people's time. My wife and I brought some clothes in to be sold a week ago and I must say their process and store set up is very easy to navigate. Everything is laid out by style and size to make finding what you're looking for as easy as possible. Best part, they recently started accepting men's clothing as well! My wife has shopped here a few times and found some great finds, so she decided to give back by selling some gently used items. I will say, they are picky on what they'll accept. However, that's what makes them such a great value and have good selection. The staff is always friendly and willing to help if you're looking for something specific, too. I lugged in 5 big reusable bags. I had nice, name brands and they literally took nothing. Not a single piece. I have shopped at this store before and many of my items were as nice if not nicer than what is put in their store. I also think wanting clothes that are max 2 years old is completely unrealistic. why would someone turn around and want to sell their clothes that quick? Also, it's not like my clothes are from the early 2000s and earlier. They were maybe 4 years old. Don't waste your time or energy trying to sell here. read more

Everytime I have brought clothes in for them to buy they do not buy a single item. I had three totes once and just the same happened. I laundered everything and folded nicely and they said there was pet hair, worn out areas and that I had a pair of pajamas in the clothes and I only had shirts and pants. I asked her to show me and she said I don't know where they are. They seem very snooty and don't seem to care how it looks when they decline. A friend brought me here, had never been before. I'd compare it to a Plato's closet but with much more to offer. I just started a new office job again and needed some better footwear but I hate paying full price for things. Well this was my lucky day, stumbled across a pair of Birkenstock boots (didn't even know such a thing existed) they still had tags on them and didn't look like they'd ever been worn, which is important for birks cuz they form to your feet. Paid $30 for these boots that retail at $200 ish. I highly recommend shopping here and I'll definitely be back. read more

I took 2 FULL bags of clothes here. They only bought an old pair of ugly joggers for a measly $3. The lady working said I know it's disappointing but they can't take clothes older than 2 years or team wear stuff. The joggers they bought were definitely older than 2 years. I had several barely used pairs of old navy jeans that were in great condition and barely worn. It doesn't seem like a second hand consignment store looking for fashionable items to sell at an affordable price to the community. I wouldn't recommend selling your items here. The pros: The clothes are all clean and in good condition. Unlike many thrift stores, Style Encore is completely unforgiving when it comes to rips and stains, so you know that you don't have to inspect the clothing too closely. The employees have universally been friendly and professional, in my experience. The organization is fine -- sometimes I'm confused by how they choose to categorize clothing, but once you're in a category it's easy to find your size. The cons: It's not really the thrift store experience I look for. Their selection is limited to a certain range of brands from within the last two years. So all you're doing when you go here is going to the mall, but cheaper. One of the things I like about thrift stores is that you can discover, say, a merino wool sweater that someone bought on their trip to Italy a decade ago, or a vintage silk shirt. I've found new brands by shopping secondhand. I also like getting older clothes because you know that if they've stood up over the years, they're made of quality material. So, in summation, if you're looking for on-trend, currently serviceable clothing from major brands for less than you'd pay new, this is the store for you. read more

Very very overpriced... I am a lifelong consignment shopper, and have lived in three big cities in ( Scottsdale , Chicago & nyc) and frequented MANY consignment shops, a lot that were way more high end than this store. I have never seen such a picky selection process, as well as such overpriced basic items. I made sure my Polo brand new from the polo outlet in Illinois were cleaned and ready and they still have they were too wrinkled to be sold in the shop because they don't have a steamer. I went to the Goodwill next-door and found a Ralph Lauren oxford for three dollars that was pressed and looked a lot cleaner than a lot of the items they have there... if you are going for a special occasion, I would honestly even recommend Goodwill over style encore, as Goodwill has a much better selection and prices. The Goodwill honestly felt more organized and clean than style encore as well. If you needed something specific, especially for the seasons, I would recommend Poshmark as they also have lower prices it seems in the store. read more

I have been here a handful of times and each time I find something truly special and at such a great price!! What I love most about Style Encore is that the items are all in fairly great condition, they are being reused, so it's also helping the environment, AND for most things you can't beat the price! Recently my sister, niece, and I braved this store in hopes to find some great deals!! And we sure did!! I found a Nic & Zoe cardigan, of which I have no idea what this brand is, and upon looking online for the same exact sweater realized that it can be worn 3 different ways and goes for way more than the price was if I was to buy it brand new!! It's soft and versatile and I loved it! I also got a pair of 7 pants that will be great for going out for under $15!! I also found a fossil belt for half off at $3!! We were also approached by a few different employees checking on us making sure we were doing ok and when I wanted to try on the pants!! I love this resale store, though dangerous, you can get lucky sometimes and those times, are the ones to treasure!! read more

We stumbled on Style Encore while visiting Omaha, and I was amazed at the huge selection. Many of the clothes still had store tags. I found a fabulous Free People olive jacket for a bargain price of $30. Dusty, the owner was super, as was the staff and I can't wait to come back during our next trip to Omaha. Oh my goodness. Who knew this place was in Omaha? I did not but I am glad I found it. They have lularoe leggings for $13 so I was able to pick up my first pair. Love them. Prices seem pretty good but not as good as some of the shops in KC. The location is large. The racks are long and filled. The dressing rooms are spacious and well lit. I signed up for their rewards program and receive an occasional text with a coupon. This is a nice draw. In fact I received a coupon last night so I feel a shopping trip coming on. read more

This is the PERFECT resale store. I walked in and knew I had fallen in love at first sight. First of all, it is absolutely spotless. So completely immaculately clean. And bright and sunny. All you want to do is shop, shop, shop. There are rows of professional blazers. And rows of tops and blouses. And rows of cute skirts. And racks of purses. And showcases of fashion jewelry. And shoes galore. And also lots and lots of color. The brands are top notch. A lot of Ann Taylor, J Crew, Talbots, Jessica Simoson... And the workers were super nice since it was during opening weekend. They served wine and cheese. Cute! I had only intended to stay for a few minutes but I think I ended up staying closer to 2 hours. 10-2-2023 Dropped of 5 tubs of clothes, folded in plastic bags inside of tubs per policy. Clean nice high end clothes. Some new with tags still on. Did their online check in and advised to stop back in 45 min to 1 hour. I left and within 5 minutes got a text from the store stating my order was processes and ready. I called the store and asked if the text was correct with this many clothes and decision made within 5 minutes. The clothes I dropped off were exceptional compared to the two T Shirts hanging on the racks near the front door. The state they are starting to take men's clothes. On the top of the tote was a men's pair of new slacks 100% linen with the price tag of $79.00 still on the slacks. Was told the clothes were vintage, tags did not scan and where too old for the store. Do not waste your time or energy to take items to this store. A complete waste of time. Very disappointed. Amazing resale shop for women! I've sold to them on two different occasions prior to them opening for sales and was pleased with the prices they gave me for my clothing both times. I came in today for the grand opening to make purchases and was impressed by the organization of items and again with the prices. They only accept newish items in great condition for resale so when you come in to shop you know you won't be sorting through clothes that should've been dropped off at a thrift store! read more

I have taken items to the them frequently over the years. When I take brand new shoes that have never been worn and they turned me down I would rather sell them on eBay. These are all high quality shoes but I can no longer wear high heels. They do not compensate you as they used to. I have invested too much money in my designer clothes to take pennies for it. I cannot believe they except some of the stuff that was in the store looks like it's been worn for 10 years. I also feel that they avoid buying extra small sizes. Also, I cannot believe how musty the place smells! I do not think that it is exceptionally clean. read more

Style encore has some nice clothes and a decent atmosphere if you can get past the unpleasant employee who lacks personal hygiene and appropriate work place attire. They "sanitize" the clothes by spraying down the items that you try on with this spray cleanser, but what about every other item in the store that you touched? read more

Very clean and organized resale shop. I took in a couple of bags of clothes after doing my spring cleaning to sell. Was very easy to drop off, they get your information and will text you when it's been sorted. I was told it would be about an hour wait. After not hearing anything for an hour and a half we went back to the store and shopped around for a bit before inquiring if my stuff was ready (still no text) and it was. They were very busy though so I'm sure someone just forgot to text me. All in all, what they accepted and what they offered me for payment I thought was very fair. They seemed to be more selective than other resale shops I have been to before, but not overly so that I found it off putting. As a shopper, I would say how selective they are is a plus. If you have newer (purchased in last 2 years), and very gently used clothing to get rid of, I would recommend this place. It's worth seeing what you can at least sell first before taking the rest to donation. read more

The selection is good and the prices are very reasonable. One of the clerks who didn't have a name tag on was super nice and friendly. The other one, Tina, was not friendly at all. I heard other customers being asked if they were members of the rewards club and when they said no, they were asked if they wanted to join. When Tina asked me if I was a member, I said no and she just totaled my purchases and didn't bother asking if I wanted to join, which I would have. I won't shop there again when Tina is working. So I'm going to preface this by saying I'm not from Omaha (though I spent over a month here for medical stuff at UNMC) and I suppose considering the options this place isn't bad. It also, in my mind, was nothing all that special and I found just as much or more cute stuff at the Goodwill in the same shopping center- and worth saying the clothes were really no worse at Goodwill. The store is cute enough. Reminded me, however, of any other similarly priced and targeted resale shop including a chain across Michigan that I'm familiar with. Like most resale shops, the prices are hit or miss. I scored some Lululemon yoga pants that were like new for $18. Considering those go for $100-120ish that was a steal. That said, I tried on a few other things, like a Michael Kors shirt that was priced around $20 and just couldn't justify it because it's not that hard to get MK clothes at say TJMaxx or even on clearance at Macy's that are brand new and around that price or not much more. And maybe that's my issue with resale shops in general, if you're budget conscious and like name brands, you can buy new for similar prices most of the time and you've really got to hunt for any real steals. And if I'm hunting for steals, I might as well be at a thrift store where I can find many of the same brands for even less. I'm giving the shop 4 stars because I can't really find anything wrong with it. I don't, however, feel it's half as great as other reviewers seemed to think and as I said, I hit several other thrift, resale, and discount shops here in Omaha when my stay kept getting extended. For me to only walk out with those Lululemon pants is pretty surprising, really and I just had a much easier time finding cute stuff elsewhere. I wasn't overwhelmingly impressed by the brands I saw or the prices or styles. Seemed to skew heavily towards Ann Taylor/ Loft type stuff and maybe trended towards a style or demographic I don't fit. If it helps anyone, I'm late 20's, wear a mix of everything from Target to Neiman Marcus, a Midwesterner myself, and while I'm older than the demographic at UNO, I am surprised given the relative closeness to the campus, how much this store didn't seem to cater well to a younger demographic. Point blank, I think you're better off elsewhere but worth dropping by this store perhaps. And I can say, this is probably one of the best options, maybe the only I've seen, in the area to offload some lightly used name brand clothing though I can't speak to what the experience is like or how much they pay. Just didn't think this store was anything special. I'd call it 3.5 but maybe I'm judging unfairly because I'm from a larger metro area where these shops are a dime a dozen. read more
