Second, I did not leave empty handed from my visit last week (and that's saying ALOT since I'm built like a normal human and not a supermodel, although I am on the tall side). I like to find these little shops where I can find a piece or two to mix up my wardrobe (otherwise, I look like I mass order my outfits from Gap). So, not everything in this little boutique is for everyone - I totally passed on the fur vest, skinny jeans, and lacy flouncy tunic look. But, it's nice to have these little shops in Omaha that sell fashionable items at reasonable prices (yes, they do have a sale rack). If you're around 120th & Center, visit this locally owned boutique. Oh yes...and they accessories too.

The store is about the same, plenty of items, great variety and presentation makes shopping easy and fun. I did expect the prices to be a little more competitive--the kids shoes I bought were $45 with tax which I didn't feel was an amazing deal for a store like this. All in all I would come back for sure, just expecting higher prices than the discount store vibe I expected.

I do not live locally and visit this locale periodically, our usual store is in STL. Again today, 3 service people did not acknowldge us in any capacity. We have always had a pleasant service experience in our STL store, even if we do not make a purchase. I am in the market for an entirely new wardrobe. I also have...let me see...something like 20 female relatives who live and or shop in Omaha - and of course, they all have friends. I went into Chico's yesterday and was so thoroughly ignored that I literally had to step out of the way of one salesclerk to avoid bumping into her! I walked from one end of the store to the other without receiving a single acknowledgement - until I was opening the door to leave. Suddenly, the air was filled with shrill female voices crying out. "Good-bye! Good-bye," they shrieked. "Have a nice afternoon!" I don't know if they thought they were being cute, but I would think in this economy, any customer would be welcome, and they would be trained (or intelligent enough) not to behave in such a reprehensible manner. Let me assure them: I can afford to shop there. So can just about every woman I know. But we won't be doing so.

They have a great selection, and it's also displayed very well-- although they have a ton of products in a small space, it's easy to spot what you're looking for. I do wish they had more fitting rooms. This time I came in, did a lap of the store, and gave up on getting in a fitting room without a 20 to 30 minute wait. There was also a long line at checkout. I haven't seen the checkout line before, although there is usually a fitting room line in my experience. I went in on a weekend today, so that is likely the reason for so much more traffic than usual! I would come back to the store again, but would either try to budget plenty of time, or come on a weekday when things may not be as busy.

I've only ordered items from BoxLunch through their online store (when my husband and I were Funko…read morePOP collectors), and at the Mall of America location, which is 5 hours away. So I was quite excited to see the Westroads Mall get a BoxLunch location. The staff here was absolutely killing it with service, even with the busy atmosphere of it being a shiny new store with all the fandoms people collect and love. Honestly it felt very much like a Hot Topic, like the signage and the layout seemed to be almost the exact same. Which makes sense as BoxLunch is a subsidiary of Hot Topic - I just thought there would be a little more of a difference. They had a significantly less "edgy" vibe compared to Hot Topics that I've visited before. Consequently, the atmosphere in this store is more relaxed and conducive to shopping. They also have their own exclusive items that aren't the same as Hot Topic (like POPs and Loungefly stuff). It seems to be slightly pricier than similar items I've seen at comparable shops that sell branded and collectible items. I'd still recommend checking out BoxLunch though, as it's cool to see items in person vs. only online. Make sure to bring your bigger pocketbook, both because they have a lot of neat stuff you'll be tempted by and because those things will not be the most inexpensive collectibles you've ever seen!
