Last Saturday, I was in Scarborough to pick up some takeout for dinner. After fetching my food, I did a search to find a dollar store and found this Dollarama across the street from where I was. Perfect! This store is in a corner of a plaza where Markham Street Station is. I found parking closer to the RBC bank and backed into a spot. I then walked over to check the store out. The merchandise is laid out similar to most Dollarama stores. You get seasonal items, which is Valentine's Day and Easter merchandise that immediately greet you. The selection was decent. Gift cards are right by the entrance. It's a trend. It doesn't work for me, though. Getting a gift card is the last thing I want to do when I'm at a dollar store. I'm getting goods for me! This store had a lot of candy. I was impressed. The selection was fabulous. I liked seeing sugar-free options. One-litre bottles of Pepsi products are indeed a dollar at this store. Most items start at $1.25. It's nice that you can still get something for a loonie. I end up getting a couple of bottles when I want pop. I tend to get either Diet Pepsi or Pepsi Zero. I like getting tissue paper at Dollarama. It does make your gift bag more festive with pretty tissue paper. It's nice and it doesn't breaking your budget. I had a competent woman at the checkout area. The store was busy when I was there at 5 pm. I paid with a debit card. Done! I liked my visit here. I'd return when I'm in the neighbourhood again. (58)

It's bigger than most dollar stores I've been to. They offer bath products, toys, crafts, kitchen supplies, birthday supplies, souvenirs, candy, home decoration pieces, etc. The quality of their products are good. The aisles are quite spacious but the store can get busy, making it a bit difficult to shop. There are always plenty of cashiers on board. They are quick and friendly but the lines are still long. Overall, a great place to hit if you don't want to spend a whole lot of cash.

The store has taken over the entire space Rona used to be, making it incredibly large. With slight exaggeration, you could get 10k steps in just looking around. There are a wide variety of goods being offered, and the prices are often even cheaper than Dollarama (though some stuff is kinda overpriced in comparison, like $30 kitchen shelves?) so I guess they win some lose some. I found some really good deals for plates, kitchenware, hair accessories, stationary, and foam rollers. Since the place is so big, it's hard to find a worker, and even if you find someone, they likely will not know the answer. It's okay though... explore away!

Something to know is that the parking space is really tiny. There are only two rows of parking space in front of the building and on the side of the building. You can also park at Agincourt Mall if they happen to run out of space. The Dollarama is just directly in front of Agincourt Mall. You do need a quarter to unlock a shopping cart. I had one, thankfully. I needed the cart for my grocery haul. There was a promotion in the prepared foods section. I loved looking at the smoothies and bubble tea. The meals, such as the sweet and sour chicken with noodles, looked yummy. I like that this Walmart carries Al Premium products. All the meals, like BBQ chicken legs and BBQ pork on rice, are from Al Premium. I should shop at Al Premium one of these days. I feel like I have when I hit Walmart. The produce and fruit looked fresh and healthy. The dragon fruit looked especially yummy. I ended up getting peaches, green apples, and strawberries. I also got celery, an avocado, and lemons. Although it's too early to be thinking about a puffy jacket, I saw some at this store by the cleanest, brightest change room. The price was decent. The plant section was also impressive. I liked seeing hanging plants and healthy leaves on potted ones. Like the Walmart in Box Grove, this one seems to close off the self-checkout kiosks. I understand that this is a busy day as the new flyer is posted on Thursday. So the schedule should be reflected in availability of staff on the service counter. When I arrived there was 6 people ahead of me. One lady had to leave because she couldn't stand anymore. No one called for assistance at the service desk. As I was leaving the store I heard over the public announcement a request for assistance at the customer service "two little too late!!! The second reason for my bad review is the lack of stock documented in the flyer on the first day! What is wrong with this location it is constantly poorly stocked for quite some time. I needed to pick up a few grocery items. I could kill two birds with one stone. Aside: I've heard that this saying angers animal activists and I should say, "Mash two potatoes with a fork." But, wouldn't veggie activists be upset now? I had no problem finding this supermarket. It was brightly lit when the sun was set at around 6 pm on a Tuesday night. I found a parking spot relatively close to the main entrance and backed my car in. I then walked into the supermarket. I love visiting a new supermarket. I always feel comfortable in one, no matter where I am. I felt the same thing here. The produce section was amazing. It was vast and looked impeccable. I picked up celery that was flawless and wrapped in plastic wrap. I also got a huge avocado. I found Tagpuan straight ahead when I walked into the store. It's a great addition to a Filipino supermarket. The seafood section is impressive. There were huge tanks of fish. There was so much to look at, from pear mango drinks, to huge jackfruit. I didn't walk the entire supermarket, but I want to return to do just that. I was hungry, so I fetched my dinner and a few groceries before checking out. I had a friendly woman at the cashout area. My items were less than $10. I was paying with a debit card, which meant that a 25-cent charge was added to my grocery total. I was good with it. I don't carry cash during a pandemic and it was such a negligible cost. The woman bagged my items. I thanked her and left with my dinner and groceries. I enjoyed coming here. Wow. This has to be the worst of the worst in Walmart's…read more No baskets for shoppers. Supposedly , they were stolen over a year ago and now they won't replace them.​​ Over HALF the self checkouts are never working or shut down...all the time. Now they shut those down after 9pm and funnel everyone into four lanes , without an express lane. Took me 4 minutes to find the three items I needed and 15 minutes to pay for it. Shelves are barely stocked, no product consistency. Produce turns within a day of buying it. Parking lot has been under construction now for what...two years? Lastly, don't think everyone didn't notice your 23% price hike on the frozen finger foods a few days before New Years. Turns out every other grocery chain had them on sale so we left yours right on the shelf. I short, I would rather drive to any other Walmart than continuing to poor my money into this dumpster fire.

This new dollar store replaces most of the zellars, and so you can only imagine how big this place is! Frick, you can get everything from your art supplies, to home hardware to birth control supplies. HDMI cables for a buck is one of the better deals if you're used to buying $50 Monster ("you a sucka") Cables.
