I've been living in the ATL area for 2 years now and better late than never to have found this…read morespot! I ended up driving out here to check out the outdoor market which I came across on Instagram (which had some cool finds as well). But going inside had so many fun vendor stalls! Whether you are into home decor, vintage collections, or other tchotchkes, this should be a place you add to your list to check out. While I came here today with my 3 year old, this is definitely a spot I can (and will) come back to explore solo with an iced coffee in hand so I can take my sweet time to really take in all the nooks and crannies of this market. Plus, they have a little cafe inside if you find yourself working up a thirst or appetite from indulging in some retail therapy. While there were several things I would have liked to purchase I narrowed it down to a cute framed painting of a ghost reading a book, but I'm sure my next visit I'll manage to purchase quite a few items.

I LOVE the Painted Bloom and bought a lovely necklace for my granddaughter from her vendor booth. Checkout was breezy and I definitely feel like I could use a map of the vendors to better make sure I don't miss anything. Maybe one is available. I definitely walked in circles a few times. I found a lovely shop in there for teas and a few metaphysical items as well. I bought a lovely amazonite pendulum that was super reasonable. The cashiers were friendly. Most vendor booths had items on sale. I plan on shopping after holiday sales as well. I feel like the Market is a hidden gem that needs to be discovered by all. So many cool items and I hear tell the tea shop is AWESOME!

I came here looking for a bargain, got it, and yet, somehow, I feel like I got ripped off. smh…read morelol. On my way to lunch at a restaurant that is located in the same shopping center as Sliding Prices, I noticed the store and made a mental note of coming back in that direction to check it out. Soo ... Parking is easy to find. Sliding Prices is on one end of this transitioning shopping center, and parking in this very big free parking lot is always available. Face masks are requested for all customers, and employees also wear face masks. When I walked up to the store and looked through the clear floor to ceiling windows, I noticed a very spacious store that looked like it was in the middle of moving inventory. I went inside. Yep, looked like a store moving its inventory, with many pallets with boxes and boxes of teas, large boxes (think petting zoo pens sized boxes) with the tops cut off and filled with various things, such as shoes (individual ones that customers have to find the match shoe that's in the box somewhere, shirts, dresses, phone cases, etc. All of those items were in the middle of the store. On one side of the store were furniture, tall electric fans, kitchen cookware, all made by manufacturers I've never heard of before. There were also other various things; junk, really. What went through my mind while I was looking in wonderment around this store was: Many of the items here look like they fell off of trucks and someone salvaged whatever they could and is now trying to sell them. I found what needed - a protective case for my cell phone that is being sold in regular and reputable retail stores for almost $40 - I got for $5, so I bought two of them so I could meet the $10 minimum for credit card transactions. I was happy with my purchases and replaced my older and cracked cell phone case with one of the new ones. I thought this was a real bargain ... Until I looked a Sliding Prices' website, which stated that the prices of everything in their stores start at $10 every Friday, and then get discounted to a lower price every day until everything is $1 on Thursdays. Then the prices get reset again on Friday back to $10, and the cycle repeats itself. So, if this held true, my cell phone cases should have cost me $1 each. Oh, this place has a no exchanges/no returns policy. Be careful what you get here. I like to drink tea, and there were some boxes (like 120 tea bags per box), and I thought this was going to be good until I looked at the expiration date, and the contents had expired over a month ago. Many things have beat up packaging. Some, not very many, of the items looked in pristine condition. If you're in the area, you have time to kill, and want to just browse, drop in. I sure wouldn't recommend going out of your way just to come here.

Recently went here on Friday, 3/26 at around 4pm to find deals and I was given the ole bait n…read moreswitcheroo. So buyer beware. So they advertise that everything is $10 or less. According to their website, all items in their store are the same price depending on what day of the week it is. On Fridays, everything is $10, prices slide to $8 on Saturday, $5 on Sunday, $4 on Monday,  $3 by Tuesday, $2 on Wednesday and on Thursday, everything left in the store that week is sold for $1. They close early at 3:00pm on Thursday to restock the entire store with brand new items. Then on Friday, prices reset to $10. But I found out later on Fri that this is a ploy to get foot traffic in. When you enter, I immediately found two stacks of boxes of Tazo tea. One was the tea packets while the other was for the premade Chai. Both were expired that day and were $2 a box. Hmm, I thought these would be priced at either $10 if they were the brand new restocked items for the week or to be priced at $1 (since it was Fri). But the main concern I have is selling expired or very soon to be expired food. So be wary of that if you decide to go for food items. So I go around and see items on the wall that have seen better days as most boxes are empty or looks damaged. Then I go to the $1 bins in the middle of the store that is clearly marked as such. The bins are not deep which is very good and I was able to "score" some tablet covers, smart device chargers and phone covers. More later on what I mean by "score". I later go around to another display for Stranger Things Lucas dolls for $.25. Once again I'm getting confused about their pricing model. Making my way to the other side of the store, I see unmarked bins of items that clearly don't look like they should be sold for $10. And along the other end's wall we have the small appliances, furnitures, luggage and other big ticket items that are priced well over $10 (i.e. $20, $40, $100, etc) and most of it looked kinda questionable as if it would work once you got it home. So I'm ready to check out and I'm told by the cashier that my "score" of electronic items were actually $10 each. Huh? I mentioned that those items were in the $1 bin. I was informed that customers tend to place items in the wrong bin. I informed that the entire bin marked as $1 had many more of the same items. Well, the cashier followed up with another price of $5 a piece and that it would be a hassle to "restock" those items. I declined. I would rather walk away then try to haggle an item's price from a clearly marked bin. Other things to consider are: - All sales are final - No returns or refunds - New items/loads weekly - Bags/purses not allowed in their stores - Checks not accepted - Face masks are required in their stores I really wanted to give this store a chance since it is close to where I live. But honestly with their ever changing pricing model, I can't say that I will ever be back. Rather then it being a one price or less store, it felt like a flea market with one seller available. Also, it seems that they not only buy bulk liquidation items, but they also receive resell items from individuals as I witnessed that same day. But maybe that will change as well since this information is not listed on their website when I viewed it on 3/25.

Their prices are pretty competitive and reasonable. Most of the babies to kids clothes were only $2-$3 bucks and the adults range from $4-$15 depending on the items. They also have a program where you can donate items and get up to 10% off your total purchase. So start digging through the closet now and pull out all the stuff that you don't wear, can't fit in or never wore but you don't want to give it up because you paid a lot of money for it....and bring it on down here...and while you're here...pick up a few diddies to refill the closet space that you just freed up...
