Shaw's employees doing online shopping, cutting you off in aisles! No sorry or excuse me! Rude cashier, barely spoke, not friendly at all! Just told me total price for groceries and handed me receipt! Why shop or spend any extra time here!? Ambiance nil! Hectic and crowded!! Almost backed over by car in parking lot by driver not paying attention!!

They've cleaned the store up a lot since their renovation. Everyday food items stocked too: pasta sauces, canned milks, even eggs/cream/cheese, etc. The line can build up as there's usually just 1 cashier so may have to stand in line for a little. There's parking and it's easy to stop by when you need something simple and don't want to weave thru the parking lot for a bigger store like Target. They do need to do better maintaining the parking lot as there's always litter there and trash strewn about.

I placed the candy inside of the basket and proceeded to the cash register. As I was waiting at the cash register, I noticed a nice gold egg shaped basket that I Ended up getting, instead of the initial basket that I picked up. The lady at the register was VERY VERY RUDE and went back and forth with me about not getting a carriage when I first came in and because I wanted to replace the mini basket for the gold egg shaped basket. She said she was the only associate in the store and was upset because she would have to bring the mini basket back to its aisle. Since she made a big deal over something so small, I insisted that I would put the mini basket back in its aisle, which I did. This was UNPROFESSIONAL and UNNECESSARY!!

The market itself has pretty much all the same food items as the BJs wholesale club but probably a little bit more fresh food there. Place was very clean well lit. Decent sized parking lot that self checkout was fairly easy and they had a lot of stations. I definitely shopped faster since there's not as much of the electronics furniture and other things that a normal wholesale club would have to distract you. Overall, I like the convenience, the cleanliness and the gas station with the whole wholesale price prices.

However! I recently went to this location and none of the things I have previously described was the case. The store was clean! Everything was put and its place and the entire staff was new. I'm guessing that ownership of this Family Dollar franchise is in new hands and they actually care about the cleanliness of their store. However, it's still hood, with ghetto, trashy people in and out all day- but I could care less about that. I just want a store that is clean, and I won't die because I ate one of their expired products or a huge box toppled over me in one of the aisles.

Some Spanish items that a lot of other markets don't have in this area they have which I appreciate! I also appreciate their hot item section. They have a plethora of items that are so good! The lines are just always packed. Which can cause me anxiety. They move kind of fast, but sometimes they're on the slower side even the few items lanes, that's my only complaint.

Price Rite is one of our favorite grocery stores in Providence. They have a lot of ethic items…read morethat are hard to find in other places and/or at a very attractive price. They open at 7am every day and that allows for the morning people to shop with almost no crowds. I usually get my chayote squash, pineapples, ginger, fresh fruit and other produce here. I also get a lot of my Latin American spices here....Badia is my brand of choice, No GOYA. Their self checkout lanes allow for a quick in and out.

The sandwich was $10 so I decided to bring it back, to make note here this was not about the money since I also bought $50 worth of other items...anyway the owner and his wife argued with me stating that nobody else complains. I just stated that I'm not paying $10 for a sandwich with 4 small pieces of meat....the owner yelled out in front of customers that he will give me my $10 back but he does not want me to come back again. I stated trust me I won't. This was a horrible experience and I would not recommend this place to anybody.

I remember stopping by this mart as a kid, roaming the aisles on the prowl for the perfect candy, chips, and ice cream combination to satisfy my junk food urges. Nowadays, I am usually after more mundane items such as the Saturday paper (for coupons) but its fun to look around and throw a treat in for myself from time to time. The employees here are very pleasant, efficient, and helpful. The store is well-stocked, well-lit, and they have a wide variety of products to choose from. There is just about anything you could possibly want or need within these walls. Ping pong balls? They've got them. A whole freezer full of novelty ice cream treats? You betcha'! The aforementioned Saturday paper when every other store in the area is out? Darn tootin'! It is pretty certain that anytime I walk into this mart I will not only be leaving with what I needed, but something else that I'm excited about as well! Located in a strip mall that has flip-flopped between failing and prospering over the last couple decades, this convenience store is an easy in and out.
