However, another member found the item and quickly prepared the item. As I checked out all my items and left the store, a third employee wished me a nice day. Esh's Produce: Any fruit or vegetable from here is excellent. A & R Bakery: The cheesecake offerings are impressive; there's individual slices, half and whole cheesecakes. There's literally a wall of all types of cakes and pies, along with multiple shelves filled with cookies, donuts, breads, baked treats. There's plenty of free parking and public restrooms. Near closing time, local folks come pouring in here to get dinner and it becomes animated. Open 3 days a week; only operates during daytime hours. Lidl in Middletown has gotten rather bad at updating their shelf tags. On my last 4 out of 5 visits…read moreto this store, there has been at least one item that rang up at the register at a higher price than the shelf tag. In the past, they have been able to make some sort of adjustment so I got the shelf tag price. However, on my most recent visit, the supervisor or manager or whoever that guy was told me that they were unable to give me the shelf tag price because the system would scan it at the higher price every time. So I just returned the item and let the matter go. The next week, however, I went to Lidl in Cherry Hill. They too had an out of date shelf tag, but this time the cashier was able to make the price adjustment quickly and easily by ringing it up as a generic "grocery" item. Which means what that guy at the Middletown Lidl told me was complete bullshit. That issue aside, Lidl is still one of the better places in town to shop. Prices (except for the ones that were jacked up recently without an update to the shelf tag) are usually competitive with Walmart. Similar to other discount grocery chains, they have store brands for the most common items to keep prices low. Aisles are spacious. There is no self-checkout at this location though, so lines could be long if there aren't enough cashiers on duty.

Didn't see pea vines but they are quite hard to get. Bulk rice and dried mushrooms, and fresh fish and seafood as well as meats including organ meats. Noodles fresh, frozen and dried as far as the eye can see. A small section of housewares. Outside the market (which is in the old Toys R Us if you remember back when) there is a small food court with roast duck, banh mi and pastries. There is also a Korean bbq restaurant and a noodle and dumpling restaurant nearby in the parking area, the Korean bbq is across from the market and the noodle dumpling house is next to where the old Borders bookstore had been (on the way out of the shopping center.)
