The best turkey that I ever had the strings bean were crisp sweet potatoes so yummy and the stuffing marvelous and the turkey gravy so good and the salad amazing but the two biscuits so fluffy and the pumpkin pie tasty. My sister Sandra Beatty told me that she often shops at Janssens. Told her it was the best turkey ever and she stopped at Janssens last Sunday. She agreed with me that the turkey was the best. Star off for seeing a few products from different countries without ANY labels in English. I don't know if this is even technically legal in Delaware, maybe someone can let me know since I routinely shop in 5 different states and can't keep up. When I lived in England for sure they had to print out labels in English to stick onto food packages if there was no English already printed on them----and basic nutrition info as well (like our RDA's... this was like 20 yrs ago I'm only guessing this is still true). Seems reasonable, and the products I often saw with these labels were still inexpensive at warehouse-style stores in England. What about allergies? Or just knowing what the main ingredients are?

In addition to all the sauces, mostly Vietnamese and Korean, there are seasonings, spices, fresh produce including guavas, durian (frozen whole and peeled), baby bananas (apple bananas? not sure the variety) and Asian greens like Shanghai baby bok choi, gai lan, and water spinach, garlic chives and long beans. Didn't see pea vines but they are quite hard to get. Bulk rice and dried mushrooms, and fresh fish and seafood as well as meats including organ meats. Noodles fresh, frozen and dried as far as the eye can see. A small section of housewares. Outside the market (which is in the old Toys R Us if you remember back when) there is a small food court with roast duck, banh mi and pastries. There is also a Korean bbq restaurant and a noodle and dumpling restaurant nearby in the parking area, the Korean bbq is across from the market and the noodle dumpling house is next to where the old Borders bookstore had been (on the way out of the shopping center.) Worth the trip. We enjoy cooking at home, especially Asian food and we enjoy grocery shopping so this was a really fun excursion. And since we eat a lot of bok choi, we'll be back soon.

I was in Delware in October on business and stopped by the Christiana Mall. I walked in because I was intrested in buying some shirts I saw online for my husband. They had them but I didn't buy them. If I would've bought them, I feel I would've caused too much of an inconvenience to the employees. So when I entered the store it was around 8pm, they close at 9pm. The Cashiers looked at me and my collegue like oh crap someone is in here. We weren't even greeted, there was 3 employees there and no one said welcome in or even hello. They just stared at us. I started browsing around and saw that they were counting the cash register money on the cashier counter. I thought that was odd since closing was at 9pm. It felt pretty obvious they were done with the day so while I did see what I wanted, I walked out and instead ordered it online.

Super happy to have an Aldi's in concord, super close to me. Saving me the trip to Costco!
