Another adorable shop in an adorable town populated by adorable townsfolk. We went a little crazy in here - three women who barely spent any money all weekend and a very patient husband in our group - we all found something we liked. As a plus, it smelled wonderful in there! Prices were quite reasonable and items appealed to those who had both quirky, modern or bohemian tastes. read more

Cute store in the quaint little town of Chesapeake City. Didn't end up buying anything here but my friends picked up a nice bar of some kind of homemade soap. We didn't stay in there too long, and I'm getting old, so I can't quite remember what all they had, but it is worth stopping in to take a look. read more

I love, love The Mercantile at Back Creek in historic Chesapeake City. It's my go to place to find that perfect gift and of course, always a little something for yourself. The store is full of unique items that you won't find anywhere else. I especially love the beautiful hand painted furniture, home decor and the bath and body selection including a wide variety of Inis products. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend as it's always a wonderful shopping experience. read more

My wife went in today and was abused and accosted by the rudest, caustic, uninformed, lazy employee in the world. Couldn't even count change out, and refused to open the register to get it right. Knew nothing about prices or customer service. Way too many merchants in need of business to deal with these clowns. read more
