Horrible customer service. Walked in to the store looking for a rug, said a nice hello to the man…read moresitting there working and he said nothing. I didn't find a rug that I liked, so headed for the door and said thank you--He said nothing. Very creepy place.

Don't bother to try to give this business your money. They don't want it. We went in to look at…read morerugs, found one we liked in a book but needed it in a different size. We were told to contact the manufacturer (isn't that their job?) and ask if it could be made in a custom size. I learned it could be customized but I had to get a retail store to order it. I called Persia's Carpet Plus hoping to give them the info over the phone and was told I had to come in to place an order. So I took my lunch break the next day to drive out there. When I got there the guy wrote down my information and said "I'll call you." I told him I needed to place the order and didn't want to have to drive back out there. He got all pissy with me saying I showed up at lunch time and he needed to eat and he wasn't going to be pressured into calling right then; that he'd call on his schedule and get back to me. I tried to explain that it was a 30 minute drive for me and if all they were going to do was take my info it would have been nice if they had done that over the phone. Could he please just call while I was there so I didn't have to come back. He wanted no part of it and wouldn't help me (even though the women working there was trying to get him to just make the phone call). I finally told him I would just find a different retail store to help me. In ten minutes I found a store in New Castle, called them, explained what I needed and got a call back with a price. If you feel the need to practice managing your stress level in the face of adversity, talk to these guys. If you want to actually purchase something - go somewhere else.

I wish I could give a zero stars. Avoid the store on University Parkway at all costs. Steve, the…read moresales guy, lied about the bedroom set we purchased being in stock and refused to take any responsibility for the poor service we have received since December. After promising delivery with 2 weeks since what we chose was in stock, it was then delayed by almost 2 months because it apparently was not in stock. Store manager Andy avoided talking to me directly and made Steve call me. Now promised another date for the 3rd time. Customer Service is non-existent. Have reached out to Value City corporate and BBB. I should have read these reviews before even walking in the door as they are totally accurate and consistent for the lies and poor service.

I ordered a sectional sofa and a kitchen dining set in mid-September. I never received order…read moreconfirmation or delivery details for the kitchen dining set, although American Signature Furniture charged my credit card immediately. After multiple calls to their customer service, with conflicting information as to what happened, American Signature Furniture agreed to cancel the order for the dining set and refund my card within 5-7 business days. After two weeks I had still not received a refund and had to resolve the issue by disputing the credit card charge with Visa. As to the sectional, there was a seven week delay from order until delivery. Half of the sofa was delivered and then American Signature Furniture rescheduled delivery for the rest of the sectional at least four times over the course of two weeks. In summary, American Signature Furniture charges premium prices for long lead times on furniture that won't be delivered on time, if at all. I'd avoid this company entirely.

I went with Floor Concepts because they came highly recommended, but unfortunately I did not have a…read moregood experience with them. The flooring itself came in quickly and the install was scheduled. We took a vacation day from work for the installation, only to receive a text from Karly the day before saying they needed to reschedule with no explanation or apology for the late notice. Once the carpet was removed, we were told a subfloor needed to be installed. Even before the carpet was taken up you could clearly see that the kitchen floor was higher. Why did Karly miss that when she came to measure? The subfloor was installed so we rescheduled the install. We specifically scheduled the install for 1:00 PM because we had earlier commitments.  The installers arrived early and immediately complained that they had been "sitting around all morning doing nothing" and asked why we didn't call for them to come sooner. There was a full unopened box and another half open box of flooring left over. While cabinets were going to be installed in part of the area, that information apparently was not relayed to Karly. However, even accounting for the cabinet area, there was clearly still too much flooring left over for such a small space. When I called Floor Concepts to see if we could return the unopen box Karly was extremely rude and insisted she personally measured everything correctly. (even though she missed the kitchen floor being higher than the room we were renovating) Talked to Sean and got nowhere with him. I later went into the store to show them a picture that the installers reused the old transition instead of installing a matching new transition. It looks terrible. Once again, Karly was extremely rude and blamed us, saying we must have installed the wrong thickness of the subfloor. That was not true. The subfloor height matched the powder room floor, which was also being replaced. Karly had personally measured the space and it was obvious even before the carpet was removed -- that the kitchen floor sat higher than the flooring being installed. I called and spoke with Sean again and once again got no where with him. He told me there was nothing he could do other than offer to sell me a custom transition piece for another $200-$300. Seriously, for a 2.5' piece of wood? Shouldn't that be included in the price? At that point, I was completely done dealing with Karly's attitude and Sean's unwillingness to help with anything. While the flooring itself looks nice, except for the transition the customer service, communication, scheduling issues, and unwillingness to take responsibility made this a very disappointing experience overall.  I did not feel like a valued customer.  There are plenty of other places to choose from for our next flooring project.
