Was making a dish tonight, had my sauce all prepared, opened up the package of chicken and started to put the chicken thighs in when the most grotesque odor hit my nose that I nearly threw up. The chicken was absolutely beyond rotten. I check every date on anything I buy at that store because I've ended up with dozens and dozens of spoiled product. I didn't know you actually had to unwrap the chicken to smell it now too! Of course, all this resulted to me having to remake the sauce, which cost me more money and time, and had to go back to that miserable store and get the chicken replaced. Did they offer to cover the cost of the other ingredients I lost because of the spoiled chicken? Of course not they just hand me back my $8.52 from the spoiled package of chicken. I wish I could give this place negative stars and avoid it 100% but sadly they're the only grocery store within 20 miles and they print money because of the tourists so they have zero motivation to change or get better. Price Chopper and Market 32 you should be absolutely ashamed of this poor excuse for a store.

But here I am every week. I would also like to give props to Jane the beautifully kind woman that works on the register. She's always very happy to see me. And last year when I had a couple of operations, she was always praying for me and checking on me whenever I came back afterwards. I love the prices and everything here. But it's the people that make you stand Head and shoulders above everybody else. I would be remiss if I didn't say thanks to one of your great workers named Ron. I've always heard they have some decent stuff and some prices at ALDI are lower than regular markets. They do have a good variety of stuff, from name brand items to some generic stuff that seems to be a lot cheaper than other places. They also have a decent selection of snacks, fruits and vegetables, and also all types of breads and meats. We were able to load up on groceries that will last a few days and the total price was not too bad. I'm not sure if the prices are just lower here in Oneonta, but I can't wait to go back to an ALDI in so cal and hopefully find the same great deals and values.

It was a smallish bj's with less selection I felt but they still seemed to have all of the staples. This may be due to NY law but the beer / wine offerings were different from other bj's I've been in. There was a basic selection of beer and 4 or 5 varietals of very off brand wine, or maybe it was non alcohol wine, not sure. In any event, good spot to get your shopping done.

A few years ago, I told the person who was working there that my phone charger wire stopped working and he replaced one for free which was really kind. I like that there is some diversity in products even compared to the BJs locations in the Queens/Long Island area. My experience here has been good 9/10 times. The only time it hasn't been good was when a store manager asked an associate to watch me check out. It was really uncomfortable and unnecessary since it wasn't to assist us or anything. Nobody else had to be watched like children. What a way to ruin people's day.

The Southside bus does stop right in front of Dollar Tree. I was surprised to see some name brand products there. The seasonal decoration section is always great. The cashiers did work as a team to clean up a spill as soon as possible, but our cashier did not have the nicest service manner.
