Staff seem to be ever changing but they are always very nice to interact with...I have noticed they are outside smoking frequently together and putting away deliveries together. This probably is a great teamwork approach and builds team rapport. This however frequently seems to cause customers to wait for a cashier to checkout the customer. There is a self checkout but it's almost always out of order or they do not have it turned on and operating. I love the deals on the app and the ability to order ahead would be nice but this location frequently has this option shutoff.

But this review is more a story about how this place operates. Every Veteran's Day area HyVee's have a breakfast for Vets. My little brother (Army Vet) and I (Navy Vet) go each year. Mostly so we can let the people at HyVee know that we appreciate not only the breakfast but that they as a company and as individuals that VOLUNTEER to work the event, are deeply appreciated. Some things that need improvement: Produce selection. Good Basics but there seems to be no expanded offerings. Also while on produce... they at one time had a lot of the precut onion and veg and did a good job maintaining that. But, that has slipped. Bakery. So many wonderful options. But, there is no one willing to talk with anybody at that counter ever. And the one thing that bugs me about every grocery store... impolite shoppers! Hey, we all want to get in and get out with what we hafta get... we can do so politely and courteously. Look up. Pay attention to what is going on around you. I maintain that…read moreit's a fairly standard Target, chock full of what you'd expect to find at any of their locations Nationwide. The parking lot is still a massive disaster IMO, especially with how it bottlenecks at the entrance, though to be fair to them, I'm not sure what else they could do to fix it. What does work here is that the lot is huge so you'll at least find a spot, even if it's a tad bit stressful getting in and out. Now, why bump my rating up to four stars? Primarily because they've done a really excellent job of continuing to improve this location. Everytime Target seems to come out with a redesign this spot gets it pretty fast, and not only do they implement it seamlessly but all redesigns seem to really work here. Now, this Target is no longer my primary Target, but I do still visit here from time to time and one other thing it has going for it is that I feel like I have fewer issues here in general. It could be the nature of me not coming here as frequently, but I can't think of a time that I've had a negative interaction with a staff member, them being out of stock with something, or waiting too long at checkout. Overall, once you get past the parking, I think this is a very solid Target, and it's super conveniently located once you pop off of the highway as well.
