Grocery Outlet is a large chain in California that is similar to Mike's -- they're a discount opportunistic grocery that sells items close to expiration/are being discontinued. When we moved back to Minnesota, we were very sad to not have Grocery Outlet anymore. But then, we found Mike's. Mike's is amazing. I'd argue it's even better than Grocery Outlet, and miles above any average grocery store in the cities. The primary draw to Mike's is the pricing -- things are very cheap compared to other grocers. This is possible because they don't have a broad selection and stock items that are close to expiration or being discontinued. It's not uncommon to find things that didn't sell at other stores here. The downside is that they rarely have consistent stock. However, if you have an open mind, you won't be disappointed. There are snacks, frozen items, household goods and even clothes that are very cheap. Lastly, the staff are all very kind and do their best to help. Go here!!!!

Some of the items have met or exceeded the Best Buy date but we all know those dates are generally just a suggestion. I've never had any issues with anything I've ever bought. The prices are also so low you really can't go wrong. The best deal I ever came across here was 12 dozen eggs and 12 pounds of bacon for $50. My Roommate and I split this and it was so worth it. The cereals, crackers, etc are kind of a hit or a miss all depending on what they have in. The paper goods and household type products are similar to big box stores as far as price so I tend to bypass that area. The whole store is worth going through because you can find some hidden deals. Also I recommend liking their Facebook page so you can stay up to date on the current deals and promotions.

Some of the items are quality and a great value while others are poor quality and with the tariffs definitely not worth the new price point. At their lower price some of the items may have been worth it but definitely pick and choose. Still worth browsing around to see what you might find. I made an appointment and shopped around inside COSTCO while I waited. I like that they have the nitrogen air for tires right outside of their tire center that is available during open hours. I've gotten tires at COSTCO for all of my vehicles. Even if you have very nice vehicles, they do take great care of your vehicles and they know a lot about cars at Costco these guys at the tire center they love love cars. So you'll be rest assured that your vehicle will be in great hands. I would order the tires online to make sure that I'm getting the right size for my vehicle. You would type in your license plate and the state and your vehicle pops up in type of registry that they have access to, and then all of the tires will appear that are the correct size for your vehicle. They have all weather all season tires, summer tires, winter tires, whatever your vehicle make is, they may only carry one type of all seasons or three types of summer tires the selection is very slim however, you're guaranteed to have the best type of tire for your vehicle anyway. You'll get an email or a text that your vehicle tires are ready for installation and it appears that their scheduling system online is about a week out even though they would like you to come in within seven days to get your tires installed they will either email you or give you a call that you could schedule earlier so that it's within the seven days. I saved close to $400 on my MBenz tires & $300 on my BMW tires, vs the car dealerships. These are big savings.

I went in to get a tire plugged (after having a screw in it) and they told me the screw was too close to the outside and they couldn't plug it. I knew that to be false because I physically saw the screw in my thread and removed it. When I pushed back on this they changed their story to say it wasn't about plugging the tire it was the fact that the inside of the tire was worn and wrinkly and they couldn't work on it for fear of it blowing up. So I asked why it wasn't covered under warranty and they said because my tires were over 5 years old. My warranty paperwork doesn't say the warranty is either or, it only says 60,000 miles. They tried to tell me it was two different warranties which doesn't make sense at all and it doesn't say that anywhere on the documents. Needless to say their "recommendation" was to sell me 2 tires or 4 tires. I wonder why. I waited for about an hour for them to speak with managers about discounts only for them to offer $25 per tire. However, plenty of other people (white people) came in for tires and got $150-$200 off. We asked how come we weren't offered the same discounts and manager Melissa said this was the best she could do. Again, I wonder why. All they did was lie and change their stories repeatedly to make their narrative work. No one was willing to wiggle, they were condescending and clearly didn't know what they were talking about. Next time, don't write "60,000 mile warranty" on documents if you don't plan on honoring it. If I could rate zero stars I would. Never had this issue at the Maple Grove location. I will never come back.

This location has some large dump bins where the price changes per day. They fill the tub on Monday and the items are $5 each. Everyday after that the price drops down $1. That part of the store you can get some good deals. The rest of the store has inventory on the shelves that is a bit overpriced. You are still getting it a little cheaper than full retail. The quality is between dollar store and department store (like target/walmart). This location does not have self check out but the staff were friendly and ready to check us out as we approached. If you don't give me a unit or something that qualifies the entire meaning of your brand, I won't get it. This Five Below is a five-minute drive from the hotel. I decided to check it out. There is a lot of parking in front of this store. It's next to Ulta Beauty. I backed my car into a spot with flurries happening and walked in. It occurred to me that it's like an upscale dollar store, except that most items are $5 or less. There are exceptions, though. You can get a record player (some don't get record, but understand vinyl) for under twenty dollars, for instance. The best find was seeing Squishmallows plushies going for $5 each. OMG! So cheap. So cute! I picked up a penguin and a koala. I saw Squishmallows as headphones. They looked cool, but it made me wonder how on Earth you clean them when they get dirty. If you like candy, there's a sugar rush section. Highly deadly. I loved seeing pizza candy and M&M's. There is a lot to look at in this store. You can get graphic t-shirts for $5 each. The Play-Doh Fun Factory reminded me of the Play-Doh Fuzzy Pumper Barber Shop that I had as a kid. You basically create hair or fur for your characters with the Play-Doh, and you can style it. It brought back fond memories. And, no, I did not get the Fun Factory! I saw Ice Cubes gum and got a container of raspberry sorbet. I love this gum so much. I would have rated this place higher until I went to pay for my items. There were two females staring at their phones and chatting. One of them eventually helped cash me out. I had placed my mittens and phone on the lower right corner of a rather large counter. She placed my two Squishmallows and gum in a bag. She pushed the bag all the way forward such that my phone dropped onto the floor. I was not impressed. I made it clear to her that she had pushed my phone onto the floor. Had I had not explicitly let her know, she wouldn't have known. First, the counter had a lot of space. Why push the bag like that? Leave it in the middle of the counter or something. Second, I am not an American with a phone from a US carrier. Had my phone died from this fall, I'd have to get a new one. Expensive and complicated. Thankfully, my phone still worked. Her ridiculous action would have been the equivalent of my pushing the payment kiosk towards her and having it land on the floor. It was such a weird, unexpected action on her part. I'd return again because the merchandise is cool. If you put stuff on the counter, don't. You are at risk of having a careless staff member push your belongings onto the floor for no sound reason other than carelessness and stupidity. (14)
