To avoid confusion -- this is the Anoka County Grower's Association market that's been around for well over 30 years, not the new indoor market at the Town Square. Today was the first day so there were only 4 vendors and no fruits or veggies yet. There was a baker, a large greenhouse selling various potted plants, a dog treat person, and the president of the association himself...selling organic creams, salves, insect repellents, deodorants, balms, etc. No produce yet. I bought some classic peanut butter treats for my big doggy. And I purchased some homemade strawberry jam for my kid. I also had some great conversations with the vendors. I'll be back again as produce starts to roll in! And I'll take more photos when things start to pop-off later in the summer. Thanks for another great experience! -Daddy Maxx Retro

I gave home the benefit of maybe a bad day the first and second time of him waiting on me but I realized that he's just crabby. I watched him throw a watermelon in a customers cart that was ridiculous, and then the next customer had a bag of apples and the code would go through and he was banging the apples on the counter and I'm sure they were all bruised. I had such a heartwarming experience at this Aldi today. When I was checking out, the customer…read moreahead of me was an elderly lady. She seems having a few questions on payment. The cashier, a middle-aged gentleman, was incredibly patient and kind with her. She mentioned she wanted a certain drink, and instead of rushing, he gently asked her which type and how many she needed, then personally went to the aisle to get it for her. After finishing her checkout, he noticed that her cart had a case of water bottles. He kindly asked if she needed help getting it to her car, and when she nodded, he immediately called another staff member to assist. A young lady came out and walked the customer out to her car with the water. Watching this touched me deeply. It made me think of my own parents, who live far away, and how comforting it is to imagine someone showing them the same patience and care. It also reminded me of the importance of being kind and helpful, especially to the elderly in our community. Thank you to the Aldi staff for not just providing great service, but also showing such genuine humanity. By the way, I got sparking water from this store a couple of weeks ago. It was so good! Imported from France and only a little over one dollars. The empty bottle can be reused as a water bottle on the dining table.

I loved my shopping experience today-the lady in front of me tried to stroll off with the cashiers cart-Ben held onto his cart, politely instructing her to bag her items but not take his checkout cart. Yeah, I get it-not everyone has shopped here and doesn't realize that you don't get a cart unless you "rent" one for $.25 (which you get back when you return the cart-or give to someone else going into the store). I thought he was polite without being too abrupt. Just remember that when you stop in and try Aldi's!

This location is often busy and sometimes there is some produce that needs to be thrown that is bad or expired. Shelves are typically well stocked. I've seen some meats clearly gone bad from time to time as well. They recently got rid of over half their check out lanes for self check out which hasn't been bad but was just a surprise to see. Come with a list, be sure to check out the fun seasonal items, and don't forget to bring your own bags!

It gets only 4 stars because the checkout situation can be nuts, especially when busy. Whoever designed it, had zero foresight in giving checkout customers a place to wait in line and keeping the main aisle open for other customers shopping. Instead, it's roll the dice on which line to get in, fight your way to the front, every man for himself! Other than that... it's great!
