They've pretty much got anything you're looking for in terms of Asian fruits and vegetables. I'm talking dragon fruit, star fruit, banana leaves, and so many bananas! They also have balut eggs! Not sure you can get balut eggs anywhere else in the cities. They also have a small section for dry foods. Prices were fair and everything was really fresh. They accept cash and card. Workers were super friendly too. And they have a private parking lot. Overall fantastic spot! Will definitely be making several trips here!

A refreshing trip to the farmer's market on an early Saturday morning? Yes, please!…read more Fresh, local ingredients always fill me with happiness. This particular farmers' market is a reasonable size. There's about 7-10 local growers of produce, 1 flower seller, 0-1 Breadsmith, occasionally a honey and jam stand, and maybe 1-2 produce resellers. I'm a fan of this location because it's very family oriented. Since it's set up in a large park, families will head to this market early, maybe get some breakfast at the creep stand, listen to a musician or get the kid's face painted (depending on if entertainment is hired by the city), and take a stroll on the path or sit in the grass. Even if it's raining, the market area is under a roof, so you can shop and enjoy at ease. Good times. Saturdays, May 7 - September 24 7:00 am to noon Saturdays, October 1-30 8:00 am to noon

It was our first time visiting this place and I liked it quite a bit…read more 1. Strawberry The whole point of coming here was to pick strawberry. When we arrived, which was the last day of their operation, we were told to go to a specific row to pick. The berries tasted good and there were enough of them. It is important to pick where they tell you to pick, as most rows have nothing left to pick. They know where one should pick and direct you. They aren't too big in size, not too sweet either. It is solid decent strawberry you will find here. 2. Location It is about 30 or so miles from twin cities, depending on your origin of travel point. It is quite straight forward drive and you can't miss it. Had no trouble finding the place. 3. Price It costs about $2.50-$3 and the box will cost you extra $0.50. So, you can bring your own basket. But I personally like what they have. 4. Bathroom They have 3 mobile toilets, so it is not a problem. You do want to bring your own hand sanitizer if possible. You will need it! It's a strawberry patch, has no building or a shop. So, if you need water, pack it, if you need food, pack it, also don't forget the hand sanitizer. Unlike some apple farms, it is not a business that has shop that carries stuff you need. You need to bring everything you may need. All in all, it is a good place to come to relax and just quietly pick strawberries yourself. It has no extra bells and whistles and services, it is straight up strawberry picking place as the name says.

This was my first visit to the Northeast Minneapolis Farmers Market which is located in the parking…read morelot of St. Boniface Church. It was a chilly Spring Saturday when I visited, so not as crowded as I'd anticipate it would normally be on a Saturday around 11:45am. This is a laid back atmosphere with plenty of local vendors. I noticed baked goods, honey, vegetables, food vendors, and more. Pretty good variety. I also noticed that the list of vendors change as well. Although it was quite chilly (I should have brought my light winter jacket), it was nice to stroll the farmers market as it's one of my favorite things to do this time of year. I did notice on the sign while walking into the market dogs are not allowed, hours are 9am-1pm on Saturdays, and it's held rain or shine. Bonus, free street parking! I'm thinking I'll likely be back sometime later this summer.

There is a farmer's market in NE Minneapolis every Saturday from 9 am-1 pm from mid-May to mid-…read moreOctober and it has so much to offer! Bouquets of flowers that are different each week, in-season fruits and vegetables, including uncommon options like Japanese eggplant and kohlrabi, small batch honey and maple syrup, jams and jerky, mushrooms, and tons of baked goods. There are also artists selling fishing lures, soaps, natural bug spray, woodworking, candles, jewelry and more. I love going in the morning and picking up breakfast there. For example, the vegan berry smoothie from Great Northern Microgreens I initially tried with some trepidation, but is now something I come back for (and I'm not the only one, because sometimes there is que of people waiting for smoothies). A croissant or quiche or muffin from one of the many bakeries is always a good option (and then I inevitably pick up dessert for later. A favorite treat of mine are the chocolate chip shortbread from Great Harvest Bread Co). Mogi Bagel has a huge following, and they are often sold out of most flavors by halfway through (see photo with a single bundle left at 11 am), so either pre-order your bagels for pick up, or get there early. The bagels are small, light and soft. They are easily compressible rather than being dense. The Cacio e Pepe flavor is pictured, and it was yummy lightly toasted with butter. Very flavorful. Speaking of yummy- Yummytizers has many great dips, but my favorite item are their veggie chips (not pictured because they had okra this week instead, but I was reassured the chips would be back next week). Delicious, colorful, and low-guilt! Most vendors give samples, so you can walk around the market trying bites and sips, then go back to get your favorites. There are also many vendors selling hot food, from spring rolls to pakora, to empanadas and breakfast sandwiches. No matter when you arrive, there will be something delicious to eat. Pro tip: There is a master gardener station, where you can ask for help identifying that random maybe-bush-maybe-tree growing in your yard, so take a photo beforehand. There are dining tables and chairs under a tent, so there is cover from rain and sun, as needed. And there is usually an activity that is kid-friendly (like a coloring station). There are no dogs allowed at this market, so leave your pets at home. Parking is possible either on the main street or on side streets and isn't that hard to find, as people are constantly coming and going. A great local event to check out when you have friends or family visiting!

I literally bought 60 bars last year, which he gave me a deal on at $3 a bar (usually $4 each). The meat vendor has the best brats I've ever had as well. They are pricey at $7.50 for only 4 brats but they are worth it. They also cook and serve fresh brats during the market. My favorites are Italian Mozzarella and the chicken brats. Send me a comment if you have one of those 2 brats and they aren't the best you've ever had, I would like to know where I can get better Fresh bouquet of flowers for only $5! I'm sure this is available at most markets, but have to mention it. If I ever get remarried I will speak to those guys about furnishing my wedding. They have an EBT station which is a great idea but don't see many taking advantage of it. Saw my first food truck this year (2013) so maybe this will be a good spot to eat each Thursday if more catch on. The address leads you to the front of the farm but around the corner there's a bigger parking lot (but you should walk around to front so you don't miss anything!).
