Unfortunately, I haven't been able to count on consistency with this location. Lots of items not available, more than they are. I love the price of the meat and seafood at this location. A 5lb Ground Beef ranges around $15, a family pack of Chicken Breast ranges around $10 and Salmon around $17. Those prices are unbeatable! The staff is always kind and holding the place together. The isles are usually neat, and it's easy to access everything and see the prices clearly.

Shopping at Aldi is as no frills as it gets. Because of that, you can save a ton of money by coming…read morehere. It's not all peaches and roses for everyone though, there are some things you'll do here (almost ritualistically after a few visits), that you would typically never deal with at other grocery stores. You can expect to pay a deposit on your shopping cart (a quarter, also there are no baskets), buy your own bags, bag your own groceries, oh and the cashiers are there to get you in and out, I wouldn't expect much of a conversation. The store is set up for efficiency, too. Products are not loaded on to a shelf--a box is cut open with the product label facing out or an entire pallet of merchandise is placed on the floor. This saves Aldi manpower, and you guessed it, money for you and I. It's not uncommon to see a pallet jack on the floor or an associate collecting empty boxes of product. Now that I made Aldi sound like an inconvenient and messy place to shop. Let me tell you why it's awesome. First off, I find myself saving 40% on my grocery expenses. I can deal with the inconvenience on that alone. Second, they sell a crazy weird variety of foods from around the world (most commonly from Germany, but I've seen tikka masala simmer sauce too). Oh and I've found people concerned about the quality. To this date, I've yet to have a problem with my groceries from Aldi. You aren't paying for the name, the tedious stocking of shelves, someone to collect your cart, and someone to bag your groceries. Think about it. One thing that is new is they are taking credit cards (as far as I've been told, its only a test in the Minneapolis-St. Paul market). So bring your plastic too and rack up those rewards points while your grocery bill diminishes. Worth checking out, and if you're like me and LOVE to save money, you might find your cupboards littered with Aldi labels.

Speaking of just across the way there was an aisle with canned pumpkin and some interesting pastas. As I picked up a spring mix as I walked in they also have some nice looking brioche buns. At check out they usually wait til there's a line of some sort before they bring up another person. I got lucky she grabbed someone handy to bring the diet Faygo to the car since I remembered my Aldi bag and didn't bother with a cart. Yes I carried up 2-12 packs up to the check out.

If there were a perfect pharmacy, this would be it…read more I have used many pharmacies over the years -- Walgreens, Cub Foods, Allina, mom-and-pop shops, Walmart, United Hospital -- and none of them even come close to Hy-Vee Pharmacy. Walgreens was consistently out of stock, had extremely long wait times, didn't answer the phone, offered rude or unhelpful customer service, and made refunds nearly impossible. Hy-Vee is the complete opposite in every way. Hy-Vee is always in stock, or they will have the medication later the same day or early the next morning. The staff is incredibly kind, patient, and helpful every single time. There has never once been a line in the drive-thru when I've gone to pick up medication. If I need an early refill, they handle everything themselves -- they call the insurance, work it out quickly, and within about 15 minutes the medication is filled and ready for pickup. No stress, no runaround. I once asked if my son's medication could be put in a bottle that's easier to use with a syringe. They not only did it, they noted it on my account -- and they have done it correctly every single time since without me needing to ask again. That level of care is rare. Their free same-day delivery is exactly that -- same day, every time. I've never had a single issue that they couldn't fix or resolve, and they truly go above and beyond. They also have the best medication bottles of any pharmacy I've ever used. Hy-Vee Pharmacy has completely changed my expectations of what a pharmacy should be. I would never go anywhere else.
