This is a Northern Michigan…read moretown where people come to visit for fishing, camping, kayaking, snowmobiling, etc. This is not Traverse City, metro Detroit or Grand Rapids. The Grayling store has a good variety of items for the area. I come here from the South Higgins lake area. The wine, beer, liquor section is larger than other Family Fares in the area. I rarely drink but my 87 year old mother gets her way and they have Sobieski Vodka which makes my mother happy. My spoiled dog (all Mom's doing) eats FreshPet dog food. The Grayling store always has a variety of it in stock. The bakery, deli and produce usually has a good stock of items. Of course, I go during the week. They have a Starbucks in the store. The only one for miles. I buy decaf coffee beans and get the Pikes Place flavor. No one else in the area carry decaf beans. The parking lot could use some improvement. It's not a first good impression--potholes and barely visible lines. It always seems trashy. Inside the store is clean. Some of the aisles are not fully clear. All the employees are usually helpful and friendly. I personally cannot imagine what it's like to work in a resort area grocery store.

Even though the store was empty. We usually buy our Twisted Teas from 711 so he was legally obligated to take them. But his drunk ass didn't do his job (common theme for 711 night crew). We battled the rain, a heart attack (I had because I was so upset) and business loop 75 to take the cans to Speedway where a nice, friendly cashier treated my wife with the respect she can't get from the drunken inbreds posing as 711 cashiers (who're in a contest to win the award for worst 711 cashiers in the world). I appreciate Speedway hiring good people who treat retarded people with respect. I may start buying my stuff there even though it's more expensive.
