Staff is friendly, however there are times they cannot be found. The biggest downfall is the self checkout. It's a mess. Put too many items away too fast you have to wait. Scan too fast? Wait. Move the wrong way? Wait. Now, this wouldn't be a problem...if there was a checker to help. But they're never there when I am. So you wait FOREVER. Time is my most precious expediture and I often skip Meijer to avoid spending it.

Nathan, young man who is a cashier is always so nice and friendly. (Not sure if he still works there) Most of the time the ladies at the deli counter are pleasant as well. Cons: a few of their woman cashiers could care less about the customer and more about their conversation. Story: I came in for a few items. When ready to check out, the lady was in the middle of a conversation with another coworker. She didn't say hello. She didn't say anything to me actually, just talking with her friend at work. I waited to see if she would say anything. She finishes ringing me out and didn't even tell me the total. I put my card in to pay, finished my transaction and she handed the receipt over. Didn't say bye, have a good day, nothing! So I spoke up. I said glad your conversation was better then greeting a customer, you have a good day too. Nice talking with you! And I said it, hopefully, loud enough for the manager to hear. It was ridiculous. Seriously.

And there were shelves bursting with pickles, mayonnaise, and ketchup, but oddly very little ice cream options. I tried to find sliced meats and cheeses to make a sandwich, and I did eventually find a cooler, but it was in the same place with a bunch of odd stuff like gardening suppplies and grill charcoal. The store is old, worn, not clean. When I stepped in there was stuff on the floor, dead plants. So strange. I bought a couple of things, but I don't think I'll return.
