We spent a total of $60 at this store. They did not charge inflated prices, and they even put up with lines at the restrooms. The parking lot was full but always had some openings even up to 1 p.m. when we left. A few of the people in the parking lot didn't even go to the Safeway; those people shoved their doors open and blocked other people from leaving their cars. Others slammed their doors into my mirror and denied doing it. The cashier who sold Safeway products to me told me the weather forecast was for sunny since it is always sunny in Madras; I told her that at least they have cheerful cashiers (although frankly I was then worried the eclipse might have fiascoed out with the weather). This particular safeway even accepted my Safeway Club Card and accepted the phone number to get "club member" prices for my wife.

She took such good care of him, you would have thought we had known her forever! I have been thinking about her generosity every day since then. If you like something and its a bargain, then stock up on it - it may not be there next time you come. This Grocery Outlet just opened in April 2017. It's a bit on the small side, as Grocery Outlets go - but then Madras is a small town. They do manage to get in there most of the things they have in Prineville and Redmond. This community is one to be proud of and my trips to the grocery store are always quick with no issues.
