We were creating a Bald Eagle sculpture in flight from a Ponderosa that we had to remove due to beetle blight. Vance coordinated on site with the tree removal company the height to leave as a stump. When the dead part of the tree was removed, Vance and Jay started the project on the appointed date, and we left on vacation. We received daily updates with photos. When we returned from vacation the project was complete and the area surround the project was clean. All our neighbors were as impressed with the project as we were. We've had people stop and comment on the sculpture and the craftsmanship creating it. If we have to take another tree down, we'll have The Whittle Shop create another sculpture.

He built an enclosure to keep much of the carving debris localized. He was in constant communication with us as to when he would arrive each day and if he was going to be late, would let us know. Very few contractors seem to do that today! He also carved an adorable bear for a log post on the front deck - a welcome addition. Since most of our job was indoors, he was very conscious of the disruption to our daily lives and home and worked quickly and efficiently, as much as his artistic senses would allow!
