Both name brands and the "Price Rite" brands share the same shelf space throughout the store. Additionally this location has a pretty decent Latin food section, although the Wethersfield and Hartford locations do have a larger section of their stores dedicated to these foods. In a time of ever rising food prices - this store has been a great way to keep my monthly food costs from getting out of control and allow me to save my money for other endeavors (and bills!) I will end this review words of warning though - 1. They do not provide you with shopping bags (a way they keep their costs down), so bring your own reusable bag or be prepared to pay $0.10 per plastic bag 2. Try to avoid this store during the first half of the month if you want to find food on the shelves - it gets very, very crowded.

Now while all this is going on several employees went behind that desk talking laughing and did not try to call a manager to get extra help. I was in that line including getting my quick return done for 45 minutes. That was the one of the worst customer service that I have experienced. The employees on the floor are on their cell phones in the middle of the aisle and don't say excuse me for them to move! They give you a nasty look like you are bothering them! What has happened to customer service? I know the answer "THERE IS NONE!" There is only cell phone users! I could go on but I have spent enough time at this Walmart!

The first aisle is produce, some standard veggies and fruit, but mostly things that you wouldn't find in your common store. The rest of the aisles are filled with boxed and packaged foods and items sold in bulk. There is a also a small selection of cooking appliances. The first case that we looked into had numerous brands and flavors of Naan and the likes. Continuing down this aisle we found frozen prepared foods, meal starters, vegetables, ice cream & more. In the refrigerated section I found pocketless pitas (one of my favs), ginormous containers of yogurt, different kinds of cheeses, tofu and desserts. While we were just browsing on this visit, I will definitely be coming back. The prices were decent, the aisles were clean and the selection was great.

They had a 5 pound jar of local honey for $50.00. I stopped in to pick up some crackers for my guacamole, I picked some really nice ones for only $3.29, but half the bag was air. This is not the fault of the store of course. It's a lot of fun to walk through a store where everything looks new, and innovative. If you're in the area stop by, always shop smart, not impulsively.
