Loads of pre-packaged imporyed food , cigarettes, and the usual goods as well. But what I loved was how clean it is inside. I've never witnessed or been victim to an employee threatening and attempting to intimidate an elderly injured person simply asking for an incident report to be made. "Pickles" as she named herself on the Stick it note she gave after refusing to take any person information and advising the victim to "call corporate and do it herself." oh and " am going to call ahead of you tongive them a heads-up" is not fit to be engaging customers. Her customer service skills all the way down to basic respectful human interaction and cooperative communication techniques are all seriously lacking. I expect a store clerk to at least fake concern when a customer is injuered. I personally will make the drive down the hill to Safeway at least I am offered the bare minimum of human decency which Dollar General and it's employees in Rainbow have no knowledge or practice of.

Although the prices of the canned and packaged goods seem to be a little high, I found the prices of Produce very, very reasonable. In fact, I bought a giant variety bag of discounted citrus for $1.69 and tangelos for .69 cents a pound, which is an amazing price, no matter where you are. Mostly though, I want to commend how nice, clean, clutter-free and organized the section is. The veggies and fruits are very, very fresh, and the displays looked attractive and maintained. I can tell a lot of care and attention to detail goes into this part of the store. I guess that's all I have to say. The rest of the store was clean, and the cashiers all seemed very nice.

I stood outside for 10 minutes hoping a kind soul would give me a stupid quarter for their carts. I don't carry cash nor a bunch of loose change in my purse. I was preparing to do a big shopping trip. Instead I was completely turned off by the process of something that should be simple -- having something to hold your groceries in. Finally I coerced some poor child who was bringing their cart back to give me their cart and not lock it back up. So stupid. At checkout, I drag the few items I decided to purchase to the cashier and wouldn't you know it....no bags of any kind. What in the world is this place? Needless to say I won't be going back until you act like other stores because the lack of convenience ain't worth it for me. I realize Aldi thinks they are saving money somehow by locking up their carts. But I think the offset of losing customers that don't want to deal with inconvenient things should be considered.
