Last evening, the store was filthy, shelves full of empty boxes, a store full of customers and two registers open for people with carts full of groceries. Self checking with a full cart is nearly impossible. Employees were standing around playing on their phones. All of this when Meijer is opening in three days just two miles away. I'm a Meijer customer from this point on, it's a much cleaner more pleasant experience all around. It's sad to see a new store go down hill like this and It be a plain nasty experience if it continues.

The store wasn't dirty or anything; it just seemed a little dated. My main reason for stopping in was to check out the bourbon selection. It was kind of minimal, but they did have a Heaven Hill rye Grain to Glass on the shelf. Where I'm from this is pretty much an allocated bottle so that was nice to see. Convenient and right off the interstate for those of us just traveling through... Being just across the street from a White Castle gives this Kroger an extra star right from the jump... Lol

Luckily another employee saw the interaction and asked me to follow him to customer services. At that counter, Kathy, was able to take care of me and apologized about Diane's rude remarks. Kroger needs to really reevaluate the way they allow their online couponing to be utilized and I would say something about the employees but theirs no controlling people nor their emotions.

If going inside Walmart is not possible for you, no worries you can still give by visiting "The Salvation Army's Walmart Angel Tree" page and enter your zip code to find a registry near you. From there you can shop for the items online and have them delivered by Walmart Spark Good Registry to a local Salvation Army. Keep in mind not all Walmarts have actual Angel Trees inside. A few items were sold out but that is to be expected at that time of year. The personnel was wonderful and helpful. Today I ordered curbside pick up and had an excellent experience. Only one substitution needed to be made which was easy. Everything was packed neatly. Nothing was smashed or crushed. The parking lot is set up for optimal convenience for the shopper. I highly recommend this new addition to Brownsburg.

(My favorite Saraga is the one in Castleton.) This Saraga is a little grody, to be honest. But how can you hate on a grocery store that exists in Indianapolis with such an abundance of food from all around the world? Overall, I am so glad this place is here. I visited Saraga not knowing what I was looking for, but was quickly drawn to the Japanese snacks aisle. I saw lots of different flavors of Ramune (that Japanese marble soda), which is my children's favorite, and Pocky, my favorite. Then I went to the seafood aisle and looked at the fish swimming in the aquarium below their unlucky brethren who had been filleted and arranged in the display case. Then I walked to the Mexican food aisle and saw many kinds of Mexican candy. The frozen food aisle had lots of different things, from Indian samosas to Korean vegetable pancakes. The meat aisle is hardcore. But, that's to be expected at an international grocery store. Be prepared to see pig snouts and chicken feet packaged next to less offensive, ambiguous red hunks of meat. This is the place to get bulk rice and beans, imported snacks and produce that you can't find anywhere else, like yuca root and plantains. I love Saraga in general, and this one is good and important to this part of Indy.
