I am very uncomfortable with my experiences at Dollar General. Every time I shop at this location, I notice the same two Hispanic males employees closely watching and following me throughout the store. It feels unnecessary and intrusive, and it makes it difficult to shop in peace. I understand that stores need to maintain security, but this level of attention feels excessive and targeted. I visited this location because I had been told by a coworker that it has larger quantity, different items Items that can't be found at other locations. I was looking for specific items and I found them and additional items as well. I didn't notice that my Laggy Taffy rang up higher than price marked. I got back in line to get an adjustment. I. The interim, the so called Mgr, (young immature Hispanic rude male) was available at the next register. He told the lady behind me he could help her. I walked over to him and asked Don't you take the next customer in line? He told me, "Go back over to the other line, you were already in". I asked him why? He told me because he's not going to help me. I had not given him any reason to refuse service to me. I went back to the other line. The clerk that originally helped me explained the pricing issue. I was told that I could return them, buy them again. I asked for the item for $1.00, the Hispanic guy said no, for $2.50, they're in the wrong place. He told me I could wait til Monday and talk to the Manager. I told reminded him that he initially told me he was the Mgr. No, he said I'm the assistant mgr. I told him he needs to get himself together. He's being I decisive and rude. The sign, description and everything matches. Why can't I pay the price marked? That makes no sense to me. I asked him why did he come over there to me in the first place because he told me to go back over to the line I was in. (As if I were a second class citizen, I didn't appreciate his rudeness,lack of manergerial skills) and I told him so. I said I prefer to visit this store when he isn't here if I come back He replied don't Ever Come Back! I told him everyone has a behind, you don't have to act like one!! Then he tells me to go to the 2nd register where he was,I asked him why. He said you want a return font you. I replied Yes, but I didn't come thdre to spend my time going back and forth from one register to another. It took him 3 attempts to process my return for a single item. Initially, he was trying to return everything I bought. That is what he was supposed to be doing. This indeed was an extremely frustrating experience. Make sure your coupons & advertised prices are honored at checkout. People shop here because times are hard and usually have deals every Saturday. Spent 15+ mins at checkout because I called them out on not honoring the advertised prices. Refund. Rung up separately, then refund again. Rung up again, didn't honor an original coupon. They didn't care... line was forming, yet second cashier was just standing there so I mentioned there's someone else open. Make sure to report it to corporate. Nothing will change unless corporate makes things different for their employees.. their system sucks. read more

I have been here several times and each time I have come the store is clean & stocked. The associates are always helpful and the manager/supervisor on duty tonight was friendly and helpful also. Store front and parking lot clean, plenty of carts and hand baskets available also. I waited about 2-3 minutes in line. The store is open until 10pm. If you have never shopped at a Dollar General download their app for coupons, weekly ad, create a shopping list and the app even will calculate your total. So this was my absolute favorite store in town . I visited this store two or more times a week actually . I always recommend it to friends and family. Well yesterday I was escorted out and told yo never come back because I was falsely accused of shoplifting. I was publicly humiliated. I have severe social anxiety as it is so this freaked me out. I'm n a t sure exactly how I'm going to proove myself but I will find a way . I'm not a thief and never have been . I am going through a rough time like most of is so I grabbed what I needed and put back what I couldn't afford. I guess that looked shady to them? I am now going to go to the corporate office file a report and get the complaint repaid so on until I proove I'm innocent. I'm very upset about this not as angry as I am sad . I was crying infrount of evryone it was embarrassing. They called my boyfriend a get away driver and band him aswell . I know this is an amazing store but I'd watch how you shop I guess and just a heads up your not allowed to bring your purse in . Apparently that is what I filled up with the tons of items they say I stole . My purpose is one of those mini back packs so for 1 it was filled with my OWN property and two it stay7on my back the ent7time untill I pulled out my wallet. Customer service was not a top priority at this location. Unfortunately an item was stocked in the incorrect location. Which was a complete shelf off. I took the six vases to the register, the cashier began to ring them, they came out at 2bucks a piece. I explained to him they were marked at 1buck, he walked me over to verify. Being that I grabbed all that was on the shelf he wasn't able to confirm and called for a manager to help. Crystal came over and immediately stated they are not responsible for items being misplaced. Lucky I had taken a picture ,to send to my mother in law. Just to confirm I was buying the correct item. Going on... The actual home for this item was on a complete different shelf below, which was stocked with a complete different vase. After the back in forth, she was only willing to give me one at that price, even though I had all six at the register. I asked her for the corporate office. She left to go get it. After sometime she came around with the number. She claimed she was on the phone with another assistant manager and she claimed the same thing. I asked for her name as well she wouldn't give it to me she just said the store manager was Joe. Whom she didn't tell me she tried to confirm with him. I don't feel she did all she could do to make this a better experience. All in all I am very disappointed such a big deal was made over six, two dollar vases.Which I'm sure a dollar difference wasn't going to make a big difference. read more

If I could leave a negative star I would!!! I visit this Dollar General quite often and I have never had a problem when Joe was the store manager or when Jen was the assistant manager. One of the problems that I had on this day that I went there was in a section it has three different signs saying 70% off closing shoes period I picked up five pair of socks and was told socks are not clothing period That made absolutely no sense to me. I had mentioned that I was going to do a review on the Dollar General website and after I said that my receipt magically got jammed and they were unable to print me a new one. I know for sure that the people ahead of me were given a receipt, and as I waited for the girl to pull up my mine, every one after me did infact receive their receipt as well. I already know the reason why I did not receive my receipt is because I had said I was going to do a bad review on the Dollar General website, because it was really obvious. I also contacted corporate on the same day, which was Saturday July 30th 2022. I spoke with someone and explained everything to which she apologized. She also told me that I would receive a call back from a district manager. I have yet to receive that call. I will no longer be shopping at the dollar general. read more

The manager Joe has no concept of customer service. I spent money at that store and then tried using the bathroom because ALL 3 of my kids had to go. The sign says "ask associate for key." Well it SHOULD say ask the manager because NOBODY working there is allowed to open the bathroom!! For paying customers! I sat there waiting for 15 minutes and asked the employees to get the key from manager Joe who was on the phone in the office with a district manager. Apparently that phone call was more important than a paying customer who is trying to potty train her kids. I will never shop there again. Shame on you Joe for not sending the bathroom key with an associate, for not pausing your phone call to help a customer in need, and for having an inaccurate sign on the bathroom!! read more

My sister, my friend, and I went into this store just to get a few things but each of us ended up with our baskets full. While we were shopping one of the store associates (monica) kept following us around down every aisle and just stopping att one end of the aisle watching us like we were gonna steal something. I go here often because many of the items that I use are way less expensive than a regular drug store. Like eye drops, soaps, cough meds, cosmetics, etc. Also, I like the fact that they sell brand named items and USA made items too...not just off brand items and China made items like at other dollar stores. I gave it one less star because sometimes the items are not a great deal. You still need to have some knowledge of what items normally cost at the regular drug stores. read more
