For a moment, I thought this could be the new XS Cargo--a Canadian discount chain that closed down several years ago and I have longed for the return of. I was aware that many Amazon products that are returned get sold to liquidators, so I entered the store with expectations of pretty competitive pricing. What I found was a pretty broad collection of cheaper-quality products at, what seemed like retail or near-retail prices. In spite of signage assuring me otherwise, the discounts that I saw just quite didn't rationalize the purchase price for me. After all, some of these products may even be defective Amazon returns and the savings just weren't substantial enough to take that risk. While the products may indeed be acquired through a liquidation sale, or Amazon palette auction model, the price that consumers like me see doesn't quite reflect that. It feels like someone's making a handsome markup here.

However, there are tables of boxes of different sizes and then in the same table there are open packages of items. Most boxes aren't marked with what's inside of them. The only way to find out is to take the boxes to a counter where staff will open them for you. I understand that people are careless and probably leave things a mess. But if this is the only way to see what's inside the box, why wouldn't they take the time to actually write what is inside of the box before you take it over? I walked past so many items that probably were great, but I really did not want to stand in line and wait for their staff to open up every box. The pricing leaves something to be desired as well. I understand that there are discounts according to the day, but you would go in on a Thursday and get the items for $.50, and on a Friday the exact same items are $12? Seriously? Don't come here looking for something in particular because you won't find it. If you come here just to browse though you will end up buying 80 things for like $38.00. They have everything you don't know that you need. A lamp shaped like a panda bear, a golden tracksuit, picture frames, a clock that blinks at you, a $1.00 hat that cost you $79.99 at J.Crew, and the aforementioned Fanny pack are what I got today but that barely scratches the surface. Returns are easy - no questions asked and I mean that. Just make sure you have your receipt. Another good point is the rewards program - and it's getting better they say. I like discounts. Speaking of discounts - this place normally has things that are old - out dated - repaired/refurbished - so if it sounds cheap - keep that in mind and ALWAYS check expiration dates on your perishables - and that includes things you don't eat too! After looking for a bar unit almost everywhere from brand name stores and discounted furniture stores and even online, i found a great hutch made of real wood (not cardboard) for price in two digits. Even the cardboard costs in hundreds ! The expensive file cabinets for a great price. Well, if you go to their website, you can see stuff from office desks, computers, file cabinets, couch, chair and beautiful paintings for heavily discounted price. The BEST of all is that staff is very friendly and they deliver to your home too if its in the area. They are located near the airport and are open until 4pm. You can also make an appointment for the weekends and walk through the warehouse to shop what you like. They also repair the computers and you can talk to them more in regard with this.
