Sale scam... This is the second time I've gone to this Sam's Club and been denied the sale price. On January 6 at 5 p.m., I went there to buy 8 nine-volt batteries for $17.98, marked down from $19.98. At Register 6, the cashier Aw**** rang them up at full price, and when I pointed it out, he refused to help and told me to go to customer service. At customer service, I got a refund, but they still wouldn't sell me the batteries at the clearly marked $17.98. Instead, they told me to go back to the register and have the manager ring it up. I returned to Register 6, but Aw**** again refused to help. The upside is I finally convinced my wife to stop paying to shop at places like this. I don't understand why people pay to shop--these businesses need our business, and if everyone refused to pay the membership fee, they'd either drop the fee or go out of business. read more

I love this sams club location by the outlet mall in Niagara falls. We're always greeted by nice staff and they always have everything I need. I'm usually in and out especially using the scan and go option which helps with avoiding lines and the register. This location in my opinion is less crowded than the other one in Cheektowaga. Only complaint is that I went to get pizza once and the lady had gloves on and took my money with gloves on and without changing them grabbed my pizza and touched it. It happened so fast I didnt get a chance to tell her before she grabbed my slice. I didnt eat it. I saw her do this to another customer right after. So no more fresh food for me. Other than than good stuff, and the rotisserie is the best. It's cheap and there's always a line for it. read more

This store will surprise you with their selection of merchandise-everything from amazing rotisserie chicken, televisions, carpets, pet supplies and food, spices, vitamins and supplements, shampoos and other hygiene products, a bakery, fresh produce, wonderful selection of fresh meats and seafood, beer, flooring, cleaning and laundry detergents, small appliances, cookware, clothing-this list is by no means comprehensive! AFTER I paid for my membership they said that I had to install their app on MY phone if I wanted to shop there. I don't want their app on my phone. If I had known that this is how theyoperated now, I wouldn't have bothered. So I asked them to cancel and give me my money back. They refuse! How is that even legal, let alone ethical? So now my first experience with Sam's club is that they take your money, then do a switch on you and tell you to install their app, or you wasted your money and can't shop at their store. Now I've had a Sam's membership for a long time. Honestly, while I do buy some items in there, I mostly just have the membership for the discounted gas. When regular NY prices are like $3 per gallon, Sam's gas is usually like $2.77 per gallon. The extra few cents I save is kinda a big deal when filling the 20 gallon tank. I have never really needed to buy things in bulk and took my time with getting a Sam's Club card. However, I came across a little deal and decided to go for it. Overall, I'm happy with my shopping experience. Being an essential worker I was impressed when they opened the store for essential workers to shop because a lot of us weren't able to get basic necessities because we were working. That being said they didnt have many things during those hours but it was the thought that counts. The customer service overall is garbage. The staff that I've dealt with are short, rude and not very helpful. I get that Sam's Club has been around for years and it's not a complicated set up but when I asked about the scan and go process and the $25 gift card at the customer service desk I was told to simply check my email. No real direction or support. Today I went and attempted to get two packs of Lysol spray and the cashier was rude as if I was trying smuggling out small children. Yes there have been limits and I fully intended on asking since there was no signage on the palette but she already had her hand on them putting them to the back of the register. I have now mastered the process of scan and go and will gladly shop with as little interaction as possible. In the future if I have a question or need help, I'll go without. read more

This store needs to learn about urban development. I am a single mom and can only frequent the stores at certain times. I am a new member but unaware of "special hours" for the PLUS members. There should be some discount for this membership at least a couple times a year. Let's face it, this is a Walmart store in a lower income community. Not only was I turned down at the door for trying to shop before 10:00am, but the woman at the door said "oh your only one of 'those' members". How very embarrassing and inappropriate. This place is always way too busy, and the customer service is poor as well. I worked here for over seven years, and the techniques we were told to use on customers was just ridiculous. We were told to constantly badger customers to "upgrade" their membership to that of a "plus" member. This entitled them to earlier shopping hours and other coupons. The trade off isn't worth it though. As a former employee, we frequently raised prices right before these supposed sales. People thought they were getting a deal, but most prices were inflated. Since I left there in July 2016, the same things I experienced as an employee are now being done to me as a customer. I went in to purchase ink cartridges for my printer. It was the only item I needed to purchase. At the checkout, I was continually asked to sign-up for a store credit card with an exorbitant interest rate. I politely said no, because I wanted to use my debit card. I was asked two more times to sign up, and I proceeded to say no both times. What was originally a 10 minute trip turned into 25 minutes because of the dumb routine they tried to instill upon me. If you want good customer service, head across the street to Wegmans. You won't be hounded to upgrade a dumb membership that isn't worth your money in anyway. I guess the only way this place is useful if you frequently buy items in bulk, day for a vending machine company or a restaurant. read more

This Sam's is a great location. The only downside is that it's pretty big, so if you're in a hurry, don't even try! The selection of clothes and baked goods is really good. The food court is always clean and the food is cooked well. The staff seem to be in a pretty good mood. Coming midday to try some samples is always a pleasure. The rotisserie chicken at $5 is the deal of the century. I like how now and then they have an extra discount on some of their items for sale. read more

I've had this review in draft for a while to make sure it wasn't a knee jerk review.. the bathrooms are consistently nasty and the only way to dry hands is with a Dyson "germ spreader". First of all, I really like Sam's Club in Niagara Falls as a whole. The store is clean, bright and the staff are helpful and friendly, EXCEPT the tire installation department. Once you find where it is, the area you park your vehicle for service does not have an entrance to the service area. I made the mistake of going through the service bays because the only doors nearby are for emergency exit only. No one was in the service bays because no work was being done in the whole area. When staff noticed me, they were quite rude and then told me I have to go through the main store entry to access the tire department. Great design. A simple sign outside the service bays indicating the correct entry would be helpful, although still idiotic. After an uncomfortable discussion, they took the vehicle for the installation. We went into the store and bought over $400 of merchandise while waiting. After an hour, we returned to the service area to pick up our vehicle (we had purchased 4 new tires), and were then told that they were unable to install the tires because they could not remove some of the lug nuts. Apparently, there equipment would not do the job. One would think that a professional tire installation crew would have any equipment necessary to perform the task. Nope, not at Sam's Club. I should have known better when I noticed we were the only customers in that whole area. Totally disappointed with the service (or lack thereof) but also with the attitude of the staff. read more

The selection and parking is great here but good luck talking to any employees here. This is where the people that get rejected by the Walmart across the parking lot go to work. I was walking through the store when I heard a loud crash. I turned a corner to see an entire cart had fallen in front of an employee. I asked the employee (a woman riddled with inappropriate tattoos all over her chest) as a customer, if she wanted help. I got a harsh and tactless "no I have it" in response. I proceeded to walk in an isle that leads to the front of the store. I saw two male employees, very young, describing having intercourse with another employee. Shortly after I had everything i needed. During checkout your always pressed hard to upgrade your membership. I get that this is part of their jobs but I said no once and I don't like to repeat myself. read more

Whoever made the decision to move there has no intelligence what soever to begin with. Their employees have told me cars are getting hit in that parking lot almost everyday. Been a member for years, probably not for much longer. Their marketing techniques again, no intelligence! They keep moving stuff so we cannot find it, thinking I buy other stuff while I am looking for what I need, NOT! I just don't get it their, I buy it at Wegmans. Instead of having associate's in through the store to help us find the stuff they moved, they are up front trying to hustle everybody to buy their premium membership! Did you know that sams club offers FREE hearing tests? There is a hearing center back by pharmacy and optical. Their tests are pretty comprehensive. It's pretty cool Every one should get a test every year even if you don't have hearing loss. read more

I'm disappointed at having to be subject to aggressive sales people selling various services upon entry to the store. It creates an awkward and unpleasant experience. It seems to me that a private club should not expose its members to such a thing. Even Walmart doesn't employ this type of sales tactic. Although I will continue to pay for membership to have access certain bulk items, I've shifted most of my shopping to Target and Walmart to avoid this type of salesperson encounter. If I'm no alone, I wonder whether your make money or losing it with this sales strategy. You have my personal info so send me a brochure in the mail or by email detailing the product or service you are pitching...just a thought. It took phone calls and being transferred 4 times before the situation was resolved. I commend her for her patience and understanding. This club has gone downhill and FAST. They no longer have early shopping hours, something I PAID for when they sold me the upgraded membership. Returning bottles is even a huge hassle, the bottle return machine doesn't accept all the brands Sams sells, so you need to wait in a line to return them manually. And of course, we need to call a manager to unlock the $1.80 that they needed a calculator to cypher out that 36 nickels is like 18 dimes, which comes to one dollar, eighty cents. Then there's the lady at the door who asks to see your membership card, well, you don't need a membership to purchase certain things at Sams. A few yards further into the club is harassment number 2, someone hawking a better electricity supplier, a better phone plan or a better television connectivity gimmick. Honestly, the only thing this club has going for it is decent parking and a handful of really nice employees, while the rest would obviously do better in an occupation that didn't require contact with other humans.
