Kalin was extremely polite and helpful; great service. The car was ready on time and exactly the price we were quoted.

I see Chip O. experienced the same thing I did .Thank you for contacting Customer Service. The location has indicated that the vehicle was returned with less fuel than when it was rented, therefore, a refuel service charge was imposed. While we can certainly understand your concern and request, In order to consider an adjustment to the charges please attach in PDF format, a copy of the gas receipt from the actual gas station that includes the name of the station, the address, the dollar amount and the number of gallons purchased. Alternately, you may provide a screen shot of the expanded details section from your credit card statement for the refuel charge. I DID SEND 4 PDFS with details and a Costco CC statement showing I bought gas at 6am. They said it wasn't good enough. They also did not refund my 1 day early return. . After 4 attempts without notice I just by chance checked my CC statement and they refunded the $180 refueling charge and 1 day early return. This is a scam and I can see on Nov 3rd someone else was scammed into paying. Keep in mind the fuel gas was over the full mark. Gas in SC is $2.75 gal. 50 gallons is $137. Class action lawsuit waiting to happen.. I have emails if anyone wants to see . read more

Jakera was extremely helpful in finding me a vehicle. She physically went out to the vehicles to verify it had what I needed. She went above and beyond to make sure I was able to accomplish my objective while in Georgia! read more

There were several issues on pickup. Apparently none of the keys to their fleet were loaded into their system and I had to wait 45 mins for a vehicle. I caught a flat with the vehicle and NO ONE WOULD ANSWER THE PHONE. I was 300 miles away and when I finally returned the car and asked the teller does the phone work and is the number correct, she shrugged her shoulders said verbatim " none of the counters answer the phone" if you have an issue call the 1800 number or send an email. The fact that I'm saying I'm having an emergency with your company's vehicle and your response is send an email is disrespectful. Then a week after my return, there are additional charges of over $100 that no one can explain. Savannah Airport Dollar NEVER has to worry about my business. They are rude and incompetent. Ooo and the icing on the cake, because they are a franchise NONE of the other Dollars or corporate locations can access their reservations so it's either be there in person because they won't answer the phone or get no help at all. I hope they go out of business because it's disgusting to run an operation like this. Stressed me out over nonsense that was solvable if someone would just pick up the phone. read more

Fairly smooth rental experience, great car choice (left it up to whatever they had). Counter staff was very light for the crowd, but we got taken care of. Accidently left a jacket in the vehicle on return and the crew got it back in 10 minutes, very happy with that. read more

It was very convenient, right at the airport. The car was what I asked for and was waiting for me and the price was reasonable.

After returning our rental car at Savana/Hilton head airport we were charged for re-fueling, though we already re-fueled the car. We complained and they refunded us. Then they charged us again. Scam artists! Don't rent from them! read more

The rental staff were friendly and efficient. The car wasn't as clean as i prefer & was covered in scratches but it worked for what I paid.

Great service; pleasant staff. No issues, my transaction went very smoothly. Would use them again without hesitation. Jim read more

The rental place was holding, just very very short staffed. I didn't get my car until 2 hours later, but I couldn't blame them, they were doing their best. read more

It was an above average experience. Going to the counter at the Savannah airport terminal was quick and easy. I paid for a compact car and received a free upgrade to a Dodge Durango. Our car was right outside the car counter not a shuttle ride away. The car only had 3,000 miles on it and was very clean. The Hertz counter next to us had at least 15 people waiting in line. Dollar hasn't disappointed me yet!!! read more

I reserved a full size sedan only to be given an SUV. This is the 2nd year in a row where Dollar did not have the car I reserved upon arrival and last year the disparity between reservation and actual was huge. At the counter I was advised that if I didn't want to purchase their insurance I had to provide them with my insurance info such as policy #, expiration date, etc. which I did not have with me. This requirement was never mentioned when I made the reservation. This necessitated me calling my insurance company at the counter to get this info which took over 20 minutes. SUV was not properly cleaned. Rear area was loaded with dirt and sand and there was a used chap stick in the front cup holder. read more

We recently picked up a car from the Savannah airport and the customer service was above and beyond fantastic. Hard to find this level of service these days. Thank You!!! read more

I made a reservation and was upgraded. I did not know until I went to the car on the outside. The service was excellent at check in and out. The car was clean and was a great value for the 4 days starting May 4 (Sat-Tues). read more

Great experience! Booked our Dollar rental car through American Express and everything was seamless. The woman who helped us, had only been working there for three days and was so kind and friendly! The manager hooked us up with a brand new car and we had a fantastic trip!! Thanks Dollar, we will absolutely use you agin! read more

i rented a car from the location at west palm beach airport. i went through the effort of filling out the application to "skip the counter and go right to the car". mistake. i got a note that no cars were available and go to the counter. it took one hour to get the car and leave the parking lot. only one person ahead of me in line. read more

The selection of cars was great, the timeframe in obtaining the vehicle and returning it was super easy. It was a smooth experience with no hiccups or added fees. Highly recommend read more

Excellent service when picking up and dropping off vehicle. Did not get 5 star due to inability to reach someone when wanting to modify plan. It was something to do being a franchisee, not a corporate Dollar outfit. More correctly this outfit is a Thrifty/Dollar outlet. Contract was under Thrifty. read more

We rented a car with this company for our honeymoon in Hawaii. The car was great and the process was easy and quick. That is probably the only reason it got 2 stars instead of 1. We arrived at the concierge, and we had a total of $320 additional fees we had to pay. We had already paid $230 to rent the car, and we thought as we checked it out it would be about a $100 extra charge, but that wasn't the case. We only realized what had actually transpired after a charge was made on my credit card for the additional $320. I messaged them describing the situation a couple of days ago, and still have not gotten a response. My frustration is not with the fees, since we were underage and knew we'd have fees, but with the fact that we were kept in the dark until we had no other option, and that customer service does not seem to care. We probably would not have used this company if we knew the total cost was going to be $500 and more for a week, and now we definitely would not nor recommend to anybody else. read more

I had a wonderful experience with the Dollar Rental in Savannah Airport, Reggie(?) couldnt have been more helpful and accommodating. We got upgraded gratis to a BRAND new Mini Van, was perfect for our family trip. When I needed to extend, Reggie(?) answered the desk phone and got me all set in no time. Thanks Dollar! read more

Always an unpleasant experience renting from Dollar at Hilton Head. I like the company, but I do not like this particular franchise because: the clerks at the rental counter are unfailingly unfriendly, insolent, and negative. read more

The woman at the desk was delightful. The car was clean and the check out was easy. Thank you for the great rental experience.

Dollar was a great rental for Savannah. The woman at the desk was friendly and the car was perfect!

We have been in line for over an hour We are now told to have a seat and they would let us know when they have a car. We reserved a car on the internet. They knew what and when I needed a car. How can they be so inefficient? I'll reduce there work load in the future. I will not be renting with them again read more

Although the cost of rental from Dollar was significantly better at this Houston airport location than our usual company, the price and push to upsell insurance coverages and questionable review experiences made it an anxious preparation. There were *zero* cars in their lot at IAH, and we waited about 20 minutes for *any* vehicle to show up. The upgraded SUV was very clean, however, despite over 30,000 miles, and it served us well. Despite being Dollar Express members, I went to the rental counter to confirm the details of the contract, and upon return asked for a printed receipt before we left the rental area. I suggest doing both as a defense, to be less likely to be surprised by your email receipt and require remote corrective action. This experience was OK, and seems to be the sate of the car rental industry right now. read more

Car was brand new and clean- Brian at the Thrifty/dollar counter was so nice and helped us out! Great experience

Savannah Dollar Car Rental was excellent - cars are available as you exit the airport. My car was clean and quite new. Only complaint is that it had a strong air freshener in it which required me keeping the windows open during any drive. There was no line at the Savannah counter which was also nice and no surprise fees when I returned the car, which was also a breeze. Highly recommend the Savannah Dollar car rental. read more

I had a reservation already booked but when I arrived they said they had to put me on a waitlist until they received more keys for the cars. I was told 20- 30 minutes. After 30 minutes I was told i was still #3 on the waitlist. I went and booked with AVIS and cancelled my reservation with Dollar. This was at the Savannah airport. The manager suddenly was not available and it took the lady over 10 minutes to print a credit receipt. read more

Easy in, easy out, very friendly and helpful staff, price was fair. No issues at all and I would use them again. We rented from Savannah Int'l Airport location. read more

They were very good. The counter staff was very helpful, and the final bill matched the estimate. They were out of economy cars so was upgraded without any hassle. They do have a different way of documenting any damage to the car. They email you the rental agreement and you email them back photos of any damage. Also this location does not open early so you have to use the key drop for the first flights of the day. I didn't automatically get my Express points, either. I don't know if it was a one time glitch or because it's a franchise. read more

Not sure what all the poor reviews are for, as Alexandria helped me have a great experience. My reservation at another branch fell through, and she was nice enough to accomdate me on the fly. I picked out the Dodge Charger I wanted, and she had the vehicle cleaned as best she could (as i was pressed for time). I got the vehicle within 30 minutes, processed the paperwork, and went on my way. Vehicle was great, and i felt safe with the damage waiver as well. She even gave a recommendation for an exhibit in the Atlanta Aquarium, my destination for the day. Im grateful for being able to be accomodated on the fly, and in the future I will be sure to make my own reservation. The vehicle selection is great at Dollar/Thrifty, and I will definitely be back. read more

Excellent customer service we received. Car was clean and had no issues with the return. Would highly recommend.

I am so impressed with the Savannah Dollar operation. They were efficient and didn't burden me with a lot of paperwork and red tape. They knew what I wanted and didn't waste my time trying to up sell me, which never works anyway. In fact, they checked my reservation and told me that the price had dropped and gave me the lower price. That earned my loyalty because I felt I could trust them. Returning the car was fast and easy. A great experience and Dollar is who I'll go to first from now on. read more

just came home from deployment and approached the counter for a car because of the big red sign that says "CARS AVAILABLE" . They white lady at the counter was very rude and dismissive from the moment i approached her. i walked away frm the counter n i turned the sign over. the black lady gets an attitude and started yelling "girl don't do that" and other things under her breath very unprofessional and ignorant. I had a reservation in advance for a minivan, once I got there I was told I had to wait until they got a minivan and she didn't know how long that was gonna be or I can take a truck which I still had to wait. It was a Disaster because I'm a cancer patient! It seems like this franchise have an employer shortage more than a car shortage. I was told when I brought the vehicle back at it's original timin casee which was 9:00pm, if no one was at the desk I could fill the form out and leave the keys in the drop box. Upon returning the vehicle was not any better. I returned the vehicle at 9:00 pm sharp on 5/6/2023, filled out the form and left everything in the Dropbox. I even had my Uber driver record everything for me because I knew I was being admitted in the hospital. This morning I woke up 5/7/2023 with an email received updated invoice where I was charged another $140.00 for an extra day and dollar rent a car had their vehicle on their property. The invoice said I turned in the truck on 5/7/2023 @ 7:21 am, which is incorrect because I was at the hospital. I've tried all the numbers to contact the franchise but no one answered, so tomorrow I'll have to do it the legal way and contact my credit card to dispute this. I'll also contact the BBB because this isn't good customer service. read more

I love the fast service! The young ladies are very friendly! Cars are always in great condition! I'll definitely use again

Had to wait in line for 45 minutes. Then had to wait over an hour plus fir a car which I reserved a month previously.

Worst car rental experience we have ever had. We reserved an SUV online well in advance of our trip. When we arrived at the airport counter we were told our car would be brought to us in 20 minutes. After a 30 minute wait we asked about our car and we're told they didn't have an SUV and would we want a compact car or a van. We had no choice but to take a van. Keep in mind, before they told us our reservation wasn't available at the counter, they had already charged our credit card in full. So we waited another 20 minutes. My husband asks the counter where our car is, she tells us we have to talk to an attendant in the booth. There is no one in the booth. This happens 3 times and when they finally bring the van around, it is dirty inside and out and only has a half a tank of gas. They are not servicing vehicles at all before handing them off to new customers. An hour has now passed and their only compensation for all of this is that we only have to return the car with a half a tank of gas. So basically, take what we have, pay the same price and we don't care. I called Dollar customer service and they said, oh, they are a franchise, sorry, we can't do anything for you. read more
