I was so frustrated with Jura USA because I sent them my machine to repair at cost of $700. They sent me back my machine with the same problem twice then said they wouldnt work on it anymore. It was turning off suddenly during brewing. In despair i called Matt on Memorial day he answered the phone and gave me a same day appointment. He had the problem fixed in less an hour...Just a loose wire causing intermittent electric failure which Jura failed to notice. Now it has had no problems since. Charged me $80, what a hero and what a great service he provides. Saved me from buying a new machine for $2700! He also does servicing of Jura and has refurbished machines for sale. I would not hesitate to use him for all your coffee machine needs, especially Jura. read more

This guy is a complete asshole he has done routine service on my Jura machine multiple times over many years and never any problems. Today it leaked from the bottom so I called and he said drive right over 45 min and I'll take care of it. He knows the machine well from past service. He glanced at it without doing any examination and said "Go get a new machine". I said this one has never had an issue and you just saw it a few months ago why didn't you tell me this on the phone before I had to come out here. He walked away. read more

They we're very responsive setting up the appointment and with the repair. They gave me good advice on how to keep my Jura Z6 running optimally. I was impressed that they did not try to sell any extra parts or services. They gave my machine a good cleaning and replaced the broken parts. I would recommend them for local Jura support rather than sending your machine to the Jura service center on the east coast, 33% less and saved three weeks of waiting. read more

I sent Matt a text yesterday because my Jura Z8 had developed a leak and the espresso was slow. He answered me right away and we went through a few details via text and he said send it! So I sent it via uber courier and he discovered a leak deep in the machine and the brew unit needed to be replaced. He quoted me FAR below the cost Jura quoted to fix the machine in total. No he's not a going to coddle you, but that is NOT why we consulted and hired him to fix our machine. He DOES absolutely know Jura machines like the back of his hand and had our machine ready to roll and back to us SAME DAY. He even cleaned up the exterior of the machine and I can tell he went over every inch of it. If you want someone competent and reasonable on cost then absolutely give Matt a text. Don't expect him to diagnose your Jura over the phone, you wouldn't do that to a mechanic either so don't expect him to be able to tell what's wrong until he opens it up and let's you know. 10/10 we'll be sending our machine back to him every six months for regular maintenance as he suggested. read more

This guy is a friggin IDIOT. Because he told me incorrectly that my grinder was not repairable I didn't use it for 3 years until I got a second opinion. The grinder was not working because a screw fell out and was jamming the grinder. Because he was so lazy and did not take it apart he didn't see that the screw was down inside the grinder. After pretending that my machine was broken he asked me to donate my machine to him for "parts"... he knew well that my machine was working and was hoping to turn a quick profit off a naive customer. also no legal action has been taken against me. the owner is all bark no bite. see his response below lol I went to JURA EXPERT in Long Beach instead of continuing to come to this slovenly idiot. Jura Expert cleaned my machine beautifully and IMMEDIATELY found the missing screw inside the bottom of the grinder. Because Carl keeps a clean, organized space and checks everything he was able to diagnose what was going on. He literally said "wow your machine is immaculate, this is SUCH an easy fix...." Lo and behold my grinder came back to life! IT WAS LITERALLY A 30 SECOND FIX... Dolce Vita on the other hand, told me to buy a NEW grinder for this 30 second fix. HE ASSUMED a perfect grinder was broken. This guy is lazy and sloppy and does not want to put in the time to properly diagnosing or fixing your machine. Instead, he kept pushing me to donate my near perfect machine to him for parts as he did with other yelpers (see reviews). I could not believe how unprofessional and disorganized he was. Also whenever he speaks, spit flies out of his missing tooth gap and hits you as you're talking to him. Twice he hit me with spittle on my forearm when picking up the machine. TWICE. I'll never forget that day as long as i live. In response to the owner's response (now removed) that I was never his customer.... NOT TRUE...I remember exactly where I parked in the lot adjacent to his apt complex and also double checked the apt complex pics on Google for reference. It looks exactly like it did when I visited (the courtyard, 2 floors etc). Furthermore, I went INSIDE this business operator's small, FILTHY apt (where he operates) and I distinctly remember he had pet geckos in a glass enclosure in the living room. Also, I remember thinking how odd it was that he converted his kitchen into an inappropriately small workspace where he does the OVERPRICED tomfoolery on machines. Matt is very expensive and I paid him for basically doing NOTHING. ALSO, the owner claims he just got off the phone with Carl from Jura Expert and that neither one remembers me. LIES. I speak to Jura Expert regularly and yesterday called to ask about descaling. Jura Expert remembered EXACTLY who i was, and my machine, AND the missing screw sitting at the bottom of the grinder. I wrote Jura Expert a good review on the same day i wrote a critical review of Dolce Vita. Carl from Jura Expert and i got along great and he has a much more clean workspace! Carl from Jura Expert is also cheaper and does a much more thorough job. Lastly, be warned of this psycho stalking you. He's been calling me from different numbers and emailing me nonstop since I wrote this review. Yelp appropriately blocked him from contacting me and removed his false responses. He claimed I wrote a fake a review and was not a customer, but then later that day privately emailed me and acknowledged that I WAS a customer by confirming when he fixed my machine with the invoice and date of repair on file. read more

Outstanding work by Matthew. Took my Jura C65 in for service after 4 yrs. of use. The spout was partially blocked, grinder was noisy , coffee quality was bitter. Matthew replaced the brewer and adjusted the grinder, unclogged the spout. All of that in 3 hrs. Amazing difference, coffee is no longer bitter, grinder is smooth and quiet. AMAZING TECHNICIAN I own a Casadio Undici espresso machine and I needed the machine to be serviced and I was so lucky to find this company. Matthew is super knowledgeable about espresso machines. He took a guess over the phone and helped me set an appointment for following week. His initial guess was correct which was even more impressive. He was able to take apart the machine and fix my machine within the hour. The machine was completely descaled and the waterline hose was replaced. Overall the machine is working in excellent condition and the service was very affordable. Espresso machines are very complex and it gives me peace of mind knowing my machine is working great and i have a trusty technician to help if an issue was to arise! I had my F9 Jura machine serviced bt Matt of Dolce Vita Expresso. I was told by Matt that he did not recommend fixing the machine because of the age and the high brew count. Then he asks me to donate it to him. What? I made the mistake of asking him to fix it anyway. So I am not blaming him for that. The machine jammed after 4 months. I found out later, that a number of parts should have been replaced but were not. The machine was missing a scraper to guide the old grinds into the bin. I can only assume that Matt left it out when he supposedly repaired it. The grinder burrs were worn out and the beans were not getting ground properly. I paid someone else to replace the grinder burrs (which I asked Matt to do, originally, but he didn't). My Jura machine is now working like new. I do not recommend Dolce Vita Expresso. I didn't go back to Matt at Dolce Vita Espresso after my machine failed. I could not trust him after finding out that he did not repair my machine properly. read more

He did a great job actually fixing my machine and was fast and inexpensive but if you want someone to be rude to you who doesn't understand dealing with customers hire this guy. He had told me I needed to use a special water so my machine wouldn't get damaged and I was confused what to use so I had some questions about it so I emailed him. I didn't understand WHAT type of water he was referring to and if I had to treat it and his response was: "Ask the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena. Bye." Hey I have a sense of humor, but this was just RUDE, not funny nor meant to be. Who needs to be treated like crap when all you're doing is asking a question. All he had to do was either answer it or just say he didn't know - or just ignore my flipping email - even that would've been better. He's got plenty of opinions he wants to spout out at you but if you want to do business with him don't ask any questions unless you want some snarky response. The thing was I was really excited to have found him because he was in the neighborhood and was like great, now I have someone I can always bring my machine to to fix. Matt has twice helped us out immensely when water got into the coffee grinder of our coffee machine. The convenience, speed and quality of his work is worth the money (which is certainly competitive). He is very generous and since it was the same issue the second time (even though it was our fault again) he gave us a discount. I've read some of the other reviews and while I have to agree he's not Mr charming he has always been professional with us. He's very to the point without all the salesman fluff. I can't speak for his working conditions as I have never been inside his place but I have never felt grossed out or creeped out by our exchanges (he is very clean and our machine always comes back in superb shape). I also like that it's a local guy versus some company with all the uncharged and having to wait days if not weeks to get our machine fixed. Our Jura Impressa F7 suddenly stopped working with the dreaded Error 8. I called Dolce Vita Espresso and spoke to Matthew on Friday afternoon. He had fixed that day by replacing the brewer, rebuilding a check valve, adding some new O-rings and adjusting the grinder. All for a very reasonable price. Even though the coffee maker is ~20 years old, Matthew got it working like new again. No need to buy a new one. Happy wife, happy life...it does not get any better! I called looking for somebody to fix my Breville Oracle espresso machine. Almost immediately he tells me he won't fix it, it's a complete pile of junk, and I wasted $2,000 on it. Incredible! Then he tells me if I want a real espresso machine to buy a Jura. He continued telling me what a pile of junk the Breville was .... just in case he didn't make it clear the first time around. He was brash with a touch of rudeness. But you know what, I went out and bought a Jura E8 and I absolutely LOVE it. It is light years better than the Breville and 5x easier to use. So, if you're looking for a psychologist to patiently listen to your problems .... it might be best to call somewhere else. But if you want somebody who's going to give it to you straight and knows what he's talking about, he's your guy. I doubt my Jura will be giving me problems anytime soon, but when it does ... Matt is an incredibly rude individual who is wildly unprofessional and insulting. He has repaired my machine a handful of times in the last couple years with every time something else breaking. I made a huge mistake of going back to him to avoid a two week wait to have Jura do the authorized repair. He treats you like he is doing you a favor. He sends ridiculous repeated, rude emails demanding you answer him immediately. He has no sense of customer service and is incredibly insulting. If you own a Jura machine do yourself a favor and send it to Jura to repair for $400. Yes it takes a couple weeks to repair but they will inspect your machine, repair it, and do a thorough maintenance and your machine will work for years. Update - Please read his response below. No one in their right mind would respond the way he has. Completely unprofessional and unstable. I never demanded that he fix my Jura. He fixed my machine a handful of times and charged for for it every time except the last when he couldn't fix it. He has been consistently rude and insulting as you see below. Save yourself the trouble and find someone else. dropped off my machine for a overheating boiler and next day got 2 long ranting emails about the machine n picked it back up the same day. machine was very dirty, had awful smell and pieces of garlic skin all over it. oh did i mention he handed the screws back to me in his hand? i know other espresso repair shops don't have good reviews but i picked Matthew based on his reviews and i regret it. ( turns out there was a leak in my boiler after half an hour of opening the machine myself and silver brazed it the next day. also there was a faulty thermostat that i ended up getting from chris coffee and they were super happy to help. ) save your time and energy and go somewhere else. I took Matthew two Jura machines, and one is 21 years old. They're running beautifully again. In by 11:00. Out by 5:00. Matthew knows his stuff. No packing them up. No shipping to the East Coast. The first thing that pleasantly surprised me was Matt's efficiency with taking the unit in and diagnosing the problem.
