The Highlights * Croissants: Unbelievably flaky, buttery, and fresh. * Pistachio Apricot Tart: Absolutely amazing--the nutty pistachio paired with bright, sweet apricot was incredible. * Pizza: Don't sleep on the savory stuff. The bakery-style pizza has a great crust, delicious sauce, and generous toppings for a perfect pre-flight lunch. The staff keeps the line moving fast, the vibe is bright and welcoming, and the food never disappoints.

Nothing says "great workout" quite like immediately replacing every calorie you just burned with one of Bakery Nouveau's twice-baked chocolate croissants. I prefer to think of it as strategic carbohydrate replenishment. Everything here is exceptional. The pastries are buttery, flaky, and somehow manage to ruin every grocery store croissant for the rest of your life. The coffee is excellent, the staff is consistently friendly, and it's one of those places where it's impossible to leave with only the one thing you came in for. The neighborhood feels safe, parking is plentiful, and the only real hazard is convincing yourself you deserve "just one more pastry." Five stars. My spin instructor may disagree. Bakery Nouveau is worth every extra minute on the bike.

Nice little dine in spot with some outdoor seating as well. Today was the perfect day so we decided to dine outside. My friend had a salad and said it was spicy and delicious. I had an order of onion rings to accompany my sandwich and they were perfectly done. Our server was extremely attentive and super friendly. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for an out-of-the-way sandwich shop that really delivers.

On a Monday close to 12pm, I stopped by here to have some lunch since I was pretty dissatisfied with much closer food offerings that are inside the Arch building itself. For their food truck they have several kinds of sandwiches and two kinds of meat bowls. Only sandwiches come with a side of your choice: you can choose among sliced baked potatoes, chipotle mac salad or apple jalapeno slaw. Staff made my order within 5 or so minutes, and took orders from other patrons as they came to their window. I got their el duderino which has sliced chicken breast, grinded beef chorizo, provolone cheese, cilantro, avocado and chipotle all in a telera roll. Overall sandwich was good but the chicken breast was dry. The choizo made up for that with its spice and heat, something that the chipotle mac salad I got on the side also had. Pretty spicy order overall that kept me going throughout the rest of the convention, and now I need to give their physical location in Burien a try!

The brownie was warm, the saltiness of the whipped cream was astounding, and the ice cream and toppings made it the best ice cream adjacent-item I've had. And then the two times I've had it since, it's been actively bad. The latest was at this location. The brownie was straight up lukewarm. It's not called the lukewarm brownie sundae. How do you mess that up. The whipped cream had no salt, and tasted actively bad. I tried to avoid it as much as possible. The only semi-decent parts were the confetti cake crumbles (think of better names for your toppings, by the way) and the scout mint brownie ice cream (this actually was good). Also, it's over 10 dollars. Overall, don't try to recreate experiences when you know the quality isn't consistent. 5/10

The quality is clearly there and you can tell they care about ingredients and unique seasonal flavors. That said, the overall vibe and flavor offerings just are not really for me personally. It leans a bit too pretentious and overly hipster in a way that feels more focused on being curated and trendy than simply enjoyable. I can absolutely understand why many people love it and there's clearly a strong audience for what they do, but it just never fully connected with me. Sometimes it almost feels like one of those places people feel obligated to love because everyone else says they should. I wanted to be more blown away than I actually was. Still, the staff was friendly, the product itself is solid, and if you enjoy creative flavor combinations and that modern Seattle dessert culture vibe, this may easily become your favorite spot. Just personally not somewhere I find myself craving or going out of my way to revisit.

The rhubarb was a bit tart for me though, so I probably won't get it again if I ever go back. Key Lime was average. Their chicken pot pie was good. Unfortunately, the service was a bit odd, which seems to be a recurring theme in other reviews. While checking out, I asked why there was an extra $2 charge on the chicken pot pie. The cashier told me it was because the strawberry rhubarb pie had been warmed in their oven and that baked pies incur an additional $2 charge. The explanation didn't make much sense, but it was my first visit, so I assumed there was some policy I didn't understand. When I got home and looked at the menu, I realized the $2 charge had actually been applied to the chicken pot pie. From what I can tell, they charge an extra fee if they bake one of the refrigerated pot pies for you. Mine was frozen, came with at-home baking instructions, and was never baked in-store. I sent an email to the address listed on the receipt to let them know they might be charging customers incorrectly, but never received a response.
