Let me start off by saying that I never thought I'd be posting this review. We've praised this place for YEARS, recommending it to every single one of our friends. We've been customers since 2019, bringing our golden retriever and our Samoyed to get groomed every two months. We would even drive 40 minutes each way to drop them off every time because we loved this place. Not even the $350 price tag at every appt kept us from coming back. I'm pregnant and had a very important scan at the hospital today. Given that we have two large dogs, it's usually very hard to get an appointment. Last week I scheduled an appointment for today and explained that we would be dropping off the dogs on the way to my appointment which was at 12:30. They confirmed that was fine and not an issue at all. We arrived at 11:45 and were told that we were too late to our appointment and they could not accommodate us with an insanely rude attitude. I explained the situation and what I had originally been told on the phone, to which they responded with "it wasn't me you spoke to." I explained that we've been loyal customers for 7 years, and that we always get a call if we're more than 5 minutes late. We didn't get one today. They told me "they never call" lol. I kept explaining about our unique circumstances and if there was anything they could do to help, to which they replied "no." We ended up having to drive 45 minutes back home to drop off our dogs, and beg the hospital to squeeze me in 45 minutes late to my appointment. The amount of anxiety they caused me was just unnecessary. But that's not even what bothered me the most. It was the utter lack of empathy, and understanding we were shown despite being loyal customers for over 7 years. No apology for their miscommunication, just the absolute worst attitude I've received as a customer in a while. TLDR; if you have big dogs, go somewhere else. Theres a reason their instagram only shows small dogs, they really don't have the capacity to handle big dogs with any margin of error, even if the error is their own. Time to find a new place. read more

Alaska went to DOGUE today and got her bath, deshedding, nails and she was looking so cute that I didn't resist in getting her a new outfit. Everybody at DOGUE is so kind and they treat our dogs as it's their dogs. I love when I'm in town I know I can bring her over and she will be taken care! Thank you guys! read more

I started bringing my Pomeranian here last year since the salon is very close to where I work. The staff is so kind and friendly. My Pomeranian is always well taken care of and they cut her fur just the way I request. I'm never disappointed. I took her there today and they did an amazing job. My baby is ready for the Spring. My Girl had just had a complete physical by my Vet, who gave her a clean bill of health, just one day before I dropped Her off at Dogue to be groomed. They called me after 20 minutes of me dropping Her off to tell me come pick Her up immediately and take to the Vet, she is shaking uncontrollably. When I got there she was scared. I took her to the Vet and was told her back was injured. My Little Girl was dropped and I would NEVER recommend Dogue EVER!!! read more

i have 2 shih tzus ( twinkie and buttons ) and weve been coming here a couple months, everytime my girls look adorable.. fluffy, clean and smells good. i was unhappy with my other groomer i was goin to for years because of up charging without any warning. i did my research and im happy i picked dogue! twinkie has seperation anxiety and shes a nervous dog.. when we come here she is relaxed and when i pick them up they are happy, tails wagging and alert! Cynthia has done them everytime and shes great! she listens and cuts them exactly how i want. prices are good too $50 per dog when i was paying $70 at my old groomer. def recommend dogue if you need a new groomer!! read more

I took my Wheaten Terrier in for a grooming and upon pickup was told that she was very hyper and that it is dangerous to groom her and I will need to bring her to a vet moving forward. We have had the same MOBILE groomer for 4 years and have never had one issue or complaint. The only reason why she was brought in to Dogue is because my groomer is temporarily out on leave. I do not appreciate being told what I need to do with my dog who has never had an issue before, maybe the person grooming her could not handle her. CLEARLY my business is not appreciated and I will not be returning. read more

I took my sheepadoodle puppy here, she was pretty matted from swimming, but nothing out of the ordinary for an active puppy. They called me after 30 minutes saying I had to pick her up because I needed surgical razors to cut her and she needed to go to a vet. I picked her up and the guy told me she was wiggling around too much. I called the vet and the vet said she's never heard of anything like this before and they probably didn't feel like dealing with an active puppy. I'd say this is a place for dogs with fur and small dogs, not medium or large dogs with hair. read more

Just took my jack Russell mix in to get a haircut and bath - love this place! Much cleaner and cuter than other places I've been to and I like that they keep the dog that is waiting in a big gated area rather than a cage. My dog didn't seem to mind the whole experience at all, plus he looks great! Will be back. read more

Highly suggest NOT to get your dog groomed here. Tried them for the first time and they did a horrible job. They didn't cut my dog's nails even though it was what I specifically asked for, and on top of that, they cut my dog's ear causing her to bleed severely. That is definitely my first AND last time I will be going there. read more

I have been brining my bichon mix named Lucy since the shop opened and have never been disappointed. Lucy loves going to the groomer which for most animals is not the case. This is because they are so caring and loving to the animals. Whenever we go, which is about every 4-6 weeks, she goes running into the shop. It is such a relief to not have stress with the grooming. She always looks adorable when she is done and they always cut/trim her with our requests in mind. The shop is clean and the staff welcoming and friendly. Being a first time dog owner, I researched the multitude of groomers in my area. By far, Dogue was the best! They were so responsive via Facebook messenger and accommodating to my many changing of appointment times. We went to visit prior to the grooming session and my dog was warmly greeted and was immediately comfortable. I was walked through the entire grooming process and informed in the beginning about pricing (very reasonable!) Today, I took my dog in for his first grooming and he did awesome! He looks amazing, they totally achieved my description of what I wanted and best of all, my dog seemed so happy! Would highly recommend. read more

I had been taking my 16-month Morkie to the iconic Hal Wheelers' for grooming since we got him but they are a bit pricey and the staff there is not overly friendly. Decided to take a shot with Dogue, who is a relative new comer to the area. The shop is very neat and clean and has some really cool retail items for sale, toward the front of the store. Upon be greeted, we briefly discussed the type of cut that I preferred and to my surprise my little fellow was ready in about 90-minutes, which is really great if your dog hates prolonged stays at the groomer! Truth be told - I could not be any happier with the result and best of all, it was $25 less than I normally pay! There is plenty of free parking around back, which is very convenient since they are located on Bloomfield Ave. Wish I knew how to pronounce the name but who cares, this place rocks!
