Two treatments totaling $775 were needed to resolve. I talked with Chris and his father on several occasions over the past couple months and requested he pay for the vet bills, and while he said he would review the incident and get back to me he unfortunately would not return any calls. The Grooming Room is a dishonest business that does not accept responsibility for their work and pet care.

I couldn't be happier with how…read moremy dog looks afterwards, but most of all I love how caring they are with him, he gets lots of individual attention since they only have a few dogs at a time, and I know he is happy since he's actually excited to come back each time (he's always been scared at any of our former groomers'). They have a little yard for the dogs, toys and beds, and I can tell they make a big effort to keep the dogs as happy as possible during their short stays. I take accusations that question my honesty or integrity very seriously, and I was disappointed to read statements in your response that appeared to suggest my concerns were unfounded. Making such assertions without clear evidence is inappropriate and could be viewed as damaging to my character. My husband and I contacted your organization as soon as we noticed the bald spots on Ace. When we picked him up after his grooming appointment, his coat had been fluffed and styled, making it difficult to immediately notice the affected areas. Once we discovered them, we reached out simply to understand what had happened. We were not seeking a refund or discount--we were looking for an honest explanation and accountability. My review was never intended to harm your business or its employees. It was an honest account of my personal experience and was written to make your organization aware of our concerns while also allowing potential customers to make informed decisions. Every customer has the right to share a truthful experience, whether positive or negative. I respectfully request that you provide me with a copy of the surveillance footage you referenced, as I remain confident that Ace's condition was the direct result of the grooming service he received. Over the last few years, Christine has kept us informed of some modifications to the grooming as our dog has gotten older. After the last visit, Christine shared her concern over our dog's anxiety during her grooming, and while she'd be willing to groom her again, thought it might be best to have us just bathe and brush the dog at home. She showed so much genuine care and concern! I must have been visually emotional, and Christine responded with utmost sincerity and compassion. When is the last time that a business put a customer's (human and/or canine) well-being ahead of additional business. It's rare indeed, and that tells you how great this place is. They must give off a really great doggy vibe! or maybe they have treats inside, who knows. anyway, after a couple of months of his begging, we tried it out for a bath and nail clipping and they did a great job for a reasonable price. definitely worth it for not having a soaking wet bathroom and tub filled with dog fur and aching back. the people working there are super nice and accommodating and my dog still loves it!

I contemplated not writing this because I don't like the thought of taking away someone's…read morelivelihood or hurting a small business but I truly cannot stand the thought of this happening to someone else's baby. We took our dog here randomly because we couldn't get an appointment at our regular before the holidays. I will say I was able to book an appointment quickly and obviously did not read the reviews. I asked for a simple bath, deshedding, and the usual ear cleaning. We have a mix with medium hair, not a malamute but not a pitty length. He was not matted, not was he shedding anymore than normal (not clumpy or undercoat). He has a gorgeous coat that we frequently get complimented on and is well taken care of. I took him out to get groomed in the afternoon and when I picked him up, I saw that he was chained to a grooming stand by himself with no more than 4 inches slack. I didn't think much of it at the time, since I know he doesn't go into a crate easily, paid and left. Upon getting home I noticed he smelled great and was clean. After a day I noticed he wouldn't eat and was flinching and whining when I would touch or pet him. I rushed him to the vet thinking something was seriously wrong. After spending over $1200 at the vet for an exam, testing, and multiple pain meds, we realized that he had been brushed so hard on his back that they tore skin. After a couple days, and now 2 weeks, he has a HORRIFYING amount of LARGE scabs up and down his spine from the very top of his head to the base of his tail. We concluded that this was from the deshedding brush. There are no scabs on his stomach or sides so I cannot show photos and because he is black, they're nearly impossible to see when I try to photograph. I cannot bear the fact that my sweet boy was brushed so hard for god knows how long that he was bleeding and in pain. This was not a mistake that went unnoticed. This is pure animal cruelty and they are honestly lucky I am not pressing charges. They should not be allowed to touch another animal. Lord knows what else goes on behind closed doors. Please do not take your babies here. I am devastated for my boy.

One thing I will say is that they took my dog in regardless of me getting my days mixed up and…read morebringing her in today instead of tomorrow, giving me the option to keep her there. However, I'm extremely disappointed. The groomer clearly knew my dogs breed (Australian Shepherd), I explained to her that I wanted no leg furnishings and a shorter cut. The only thing I wanted shaved was behind her ears as they get matted fast. I picked her up looking like this. Fully shaved with clippers, her whiskers on the side were cut, and her chest is not blended. She is a double coated dog, not recommended at all to be shaven. I shouldn't have to tell groomers to not put clippers on her. Especially this short. I had no words when I picked her up.
