This place is neat I love the nostalgia of this place it's definitely like from another time. The dogs were yummy and prices were great. Loved all the dog pictures how cute! They have tons of options and even their own parking lot. The staff were very friendly and plenty of seating area inside and out. Glad to finally visit!

Man what an awesome place! Fast, cheap, friendly people. We pull in around 11 and there were hardly any spots. The only downfall. I ordered the Greek stray. I'm a sucker for the feta what can I say. I also got the Boston terrier. Which is topped with meat hot bacon and baked beans. Literally everything is so good here. I usually get full on one hotdog but I can't stop it's so good. Also this place has birch beer! My favorite soda!! Try it. Can't stop raving about this place. Definitely coming back.

Garbage plate is not for everyone I have to say. It is mainly mac salad, tater tots, burger patty, sausage. You can image how it tastes anyway, it's not bad but not enough meat, however it's super cheap so it evens out.

What's not to love about a dining area filled with photos of cats and dogs? Dogtown's walls are covered with photos of beloved pets. The decor was a great conversation starter while dining with our kids. The dining room is small and it can be hard to find seating during a busy time. The lines kept forming during our visit and the restaurant felt overcrowded. This didn't stop us from enjoying our food, though some patrons had to stand outside eating in the rain. The hot dogs were delicious. Each table has ketchup and mustard available for toppings. We had to ask a server for relish and they kindly brought some over to our table. I didn't love the overly toasted bun, but that's just my personal preference. Dogtown is a Rochester staple for a reason.

A hole in the wall with the best garbage plates in Rochester. Dogtown's version is super filling and enough to share between two or three people. It's order at the counter, and the outdoor patio is small but nice during the warm weather. If garbage plates aren't your thing, there's also speciality hot dogs that are worth a try

I knew i had to have the junkyard dog plate when i saw it on the menu. The two dog plate was the way to go with everything. I added a bit more yellow mustard and it was perfect. The sweet potato fries were also very tasty. Service was great and folks were friendly even though it was very busy.

Did a day trip to Rochester - we had to try what they're known for! Garbage plates. They were filling. Front staff, specifically the girl taking orders were a bit rude and standoffish. Other than that, we enjoyed it!

Visited Rochester to take in the Strong & was told I Should grab this iconic local dish. Very interesting, gave it a dash of Frank's to up the heat. Dogtown only downside is the chairs were a bit high for the table so I was slouching to eat.

The vibe , the workers , the aesthetic was amazing ! No complaints at all ! Only leaving the 4 star for the garbage plate . I'm from California and they hyped the place being the king of garbage plates ! Don't get me wrong it was good ! Well worth it to try it ! This is not a negative review at all but I do think and others can agree that the meat sauce is not the greatest .. but I also could be wrong as it's my first time ! The potatoes, the mac and the burger patty was amazing ! I do think they need to change meat sauce

Split Plate

Had to stop by Rochester for a trash plate and this place hit the spot. Got the split plate because the name of the place, otherwise I usually get two cheeseburgers. Haven't had one in ages but this is definitely better than what I remembered of Henrietta Hots and on par with Empire Hots. Ambiance is definitely better than most trash plate places, small but clean and pictures of dogs everywhere.

Good food, friendly efficient service, like the quirky environment. Parking can sometimes be tricky as it is a popular place.

Small families enjoying food. Couples and friends chatting over coffee. They support local businesses. We came on a Saturday afternoon, when students from RIT were given tables to show and sell their art in a non intrusive way. Coffee is really fantastic. I had an Americano, with their Espresso Blend. Roast master told me he does the sourcing, blending and roasting. This one had Ethiopian and Colombian beans. Fabulous blend of earthy and chocolate tones. I bought a pound to prepare with my French Press at hotel and the roaster grinded it to a perfect coarse. Side note: please never drink coffee from those hotel room machines. You can always do better! Come, have a coffee, have lunch, buy beans or ground coffee for your enjoyment at home. This is the type of place that makes café lovers feel right at home, even when traveling.

On a recent visit to Rochester, one of my friends and I met up at this cool location for a coffee and to catch up. There are options galore for drinks and they're so good. I loved my marshmallow latte. They have options for board games, events they host, and a small corner for small/local artists to share and sell their products. It was so interesting to explore and look around while I caught up with an old friend. Next time I'm in Rochester, I'm definitely coming back.

Inside, the decor was very interesting with a Halloween figure, standing tall and lots of pictures, art and awards covering the walls. The folks here greeted me and patiently took my order. I was only a little hungry so I ordered just one item - their claim-to-fame Cuban sandwich. Which was surprisingly quite good! The bread, which is handmade, was not pressed but warm, thin, and soft with enough to still hold the sandwich together. The pulled pork, finely sliced ham, melted white cheese, a bit of thin cabbage, pickles, and the works all came together in a happy marriage of juicy, savory, and slightly tangy deliciousness. Their pastries also looked very good and with how tasty the homemade bread was, I imagine the empanadas would be tasty as well. They even have a beef banana flavor which I want to try next time. So apparently the best Cuban sandwich in upstate New York is really quite tasty. I'm sorry I ever doubted you! And I will be sure to make another stop when I'm back in town.

It was very different from a traditional Cuban. Fries were decent too. I'll be back to try the pastelitos. Place was small and quaint. Def old school. Wasn't bad at all.
