The food was great, and I'd definitely come back when I'm in the area. Some of their unique creations looked really tasty too. The only downside was the wait for our hot dogs, and overhearing someone in the kitchen refer to the Chicago dog in a way you don't really want to hear while your food is being made.

I loved the variety of hot dogs and the atmosphere of it. It's such unique restaurant with fast service. I wish there was indoor seating but totally love the place and will be back!

The most incredible chili cheese dog ever

This is where I owe a debt of gratitude to Yelp for finding me an absolute gem of a lunch spot. I was driving through a part of the country I'd never been before and didn't want fast food. Dogslinger has a huge colorful menu that lets you know exactly what you're in for. I ordered my favorite, a chili cheese dog and threw in a large chocolate chip cookie for my drive as an afterthought. Service is lightning fast! They have a nice area outside with picnic tables and umbrellas where you can dine if the weather is nice. After my first bite I knew I was in trouble, as in this is the best stinking chili cheese dog I've ever had and how am I going to get back here from Arizona to have another?! Everything about it was simply perfect. To make matters worse, I tried the cookie about an hour into my drive. Yup - best chocolate chip cookie I've had maybe ever. Buttery, chocolate heaven. I vowed to stop as I drove back through on Sunday but alas, they weren't open that day. I'll be thinking about this great place while I eat their subpar counterparts in Arizona in the years to come.

Junkyard Dog and Cheese Dog with onions.

Great menu with regional classics and house creations. Junkyard dog - Chicago dog / chili cheese dog hybrid - was excellent.

The Smash Dog

The food was pretty tasty! The smash dog had a nice kick with the peppers! The junkyard dog was pretty tasty as well!! We also had the Seattle dog that was talked about in lord of the reviews! The loaded tots were good too! You can see the appearance of the food in the pics attached to this review! The service was lovely, we were greeted with a smile and even given some recommendations to try as it was our first time trying this place! The ambiance is nice and cozy, it gives you a summer vibe place and they have pictures of all the dogs they serve so you can visualize what you are ordering! Overall I enjoyed and I will definitely be back for another visit!

Other than sides (like fries, cheese fries, coleslaw and drinks), hot dogs is all you'll see on the menu. They have more than just your standard dogs, they also have a Seattle Dog (which I'd never heard of and has peppers on it), but also hotdogs like the 'scuba Steve'. I decided to go pretty standard and get a hot dog with ketchup mustard and sweet relish. My husband went more adventurous with getting the Scuba Steve hot dog. He also got us a corn dog and cheese fries to try. We used to get corn dogs from th Martins deli regularly when we started dating, and the corn dog was better than theirs. I get it's just a hot dog but they were really delicious. The restaurant it's is not very spacious but luckily it was a nice day out, allowing everyone who was waiting to go outside and wait while our food was being prepared. If you love hot dogs and fries, while also being close, I'd definitely give DogSlinger a shot. We will definitely be back.

Unbelievable it's taken me this long to review DogSlinger! I live in downtown St Joe within walking distance to tons of restaurants, but DogSlinger is WELL worth the short drive to Stevensville! I love the variety of the menu, and that everything can include a vegetarian hot dog instead of meat. It's like a local and more fun hot dog version of Red Robin. There's not much room inside but plenty of patio space. I love getting a bunch and cutting in half to share so we can cover more of the menu each visit. Such an awesome place, I hope it's here for many more years!!

Great place! Unique, fun, and great food! Such a great addition to Stevensville! Employees were super nice, and overall great experience. There's a nice outdoor seating area too! We will be back for sure, it's a good spot to stop when you just want a quick bite that's different! Can't wait to try more!

3.5 Stars, overall some tasty options but the bill got a little high. Over $30 for four dogs, a polish and 2 drinks. We tried A Cowboy, Conny, Chicago and the Kekoa (Hawaiian Style) and a Polish "Maxwell Street Style". Of those the Cowboy and Kekoa tasted the best. The Conny and Chicago dogs were good but not exceptional. The Polish for $6.99, over twice the cost of a Maxwell Street sausage was a bit disappointing. No indoor seating, limited outside dining at large low to the ground picnic tables. There is not a trash can in that dining area, they say one will be there next week. They probably should include wet wipes with your order, the dogs are not short in toppings. Hot dogs are 6 inches and a 1/8 pound each.

We've tried a handful of different dogs, but we love the CaliDog & the Chicago Dogs the best. We enjoy the loaded tots as well!

Excellent hot dog choices. Had Chicago dog and cheese dog. Fries are crispy and flavored just right! I would recommend

Delish small town restaurant not to expensive just right for the family and so many options to choose from.
