BEFORE I EVEN BEGIN, LET ME SAY THAY IF IT WAS THIS DIFFICULT TO TRY AND SCHEDULE A PROPERTY VIEWING.... I CAN NOT EVEN IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE IF I HAD TO DEPEND ON THIS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT GROUP IN REGARDS TO ISSUES ABOUT THE HOME I WAS RENTING.
We wanted to view a rental property listed with them.
I have been contacting properties all day so when I called to request a viewing I mistakenly said "3 bedroom" whilst the agent was quick to correct me saying it's a 4 bedroom with a bonus room. I apologized and said nonetheless, a 4 bedroom would be even better since that's the size of rental we are coming from (room wise, sq ft wise it is still much smaller)
She asked if I watched the video, I said no. We like the property and saw the pictures listed on zillow, but our main concern is videos and pictures do not necessarily show the depth of each room. We want to make sure our furniture fits into the spaces they are designated to be.
She kept insisting I watch the video so we can talk more about the home. Even though I made it clear that again, even if I watched the video and talked about how much I like the 4 bedrooms and that the loft looks great ....... I still can't tell if my kids bunkbed will fit into the room or that my bedroom furniture will all fit into the master.
She couldn't provide the sizes of the rooms (livingroom, bedrooms) on the phone. She wouldn't even talk about any possible days to view, unless I watched the video.
HERE IS A TIP TO BETTER YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE
1. Rather than wasting everyones time, perhaps it would be for everyone's benefit to include the dementions of the rooms in your description when you list them.
2. You need tenants to rent your properties, because it is your business service. Please, give them the info they are asking for/ provide the help they're asking for...rather than being so ridged with your protocols. It's BASIC customer service
I get you have a screening process, so random people aren't just showing up at a home. I get it. Although, whatever it is that kept her from actually helping me, judgemental or otherwise, I just wanted to know if my furniture would fit in the home.
You don't need to piss off potential tenants who are just looking for more information about the home that isn't provided in the listing/pictures.
I hope whomever ends up renting that home has better luck with the property management company than I did.
Best of luck! read more
