They came and did maintenance checks without proper notice, and on top of all that 5 years later after renting from them and evicting me for reasons I'm still unsure of I still get emails regularly claiming I owe them money! I followed their suggestions, tried to work with them, and clearly stated that I preferred phone communication because not everything made sense over email. Guess how many calls I got without chasing them down? Zero. I had to call multiple times just to get basic answers. For a company that's supposed to manage, they sure love to dodge. They act like they're doing you a favor for doing the bare minimum, while conveniently ignoring how dismissive, unresponsive, and inconsistent they were. They love tossing around words like "professionalism" and "support" in their public replies but that's not the energy they gave me. Not once did I feel like they were in my corner. It was all stress, no peace of mind, and a whole lot of "not our fault." Spoiler alert: it was. FRPM doesn't operate with transparency or accountability. They don't give you peace of mind they give you headaches and a paper trail of excuses. They're not here for the client. They're here for themselves. Apparently, they take reviews more seriously than the people actually paying them. That's what they said in google review I left them. If I could go back, I'd trust the bad reviews. When I was first in the market to rent, Cohesion had a perfect little property for me. I called about it, but it turns out someone had applied already, and in order for Cohesion to comply with fair housing, that meant I was second in line. I was bummed, but so impressed with that level of professionalism in a small company. They know what they're doing! I also know Heather and crew don't rent out places they wouldn't themselves be happy living in. When Heather told me this when I first looked at the property (back in summer 2017) I was really impressed. In addition, they properly ensure all tenants are fully vetted to take care of the property. What company has those kinds of standards anymore? Every time we submitted a…read moreservice request--whether for plumbing, electrical, or other maintenance issues--we were sent videos or emails with DIY instructions that never resolved the problem and clearly required professional attention. We experienced a major plumbing issue that required immediate action, yet it took approximately a week and a half to get resolved. Initially, the company even suggested we might be financially responsible for the repairs, despite the problem stemming from deteriorating pipes due to the original construction of the home. Throughout the process, Susan Pratt felt unprofessional and difficult to work with. Additionally, we were informed that our lease would not be renewed because the property owner planned to move back in. Shortly after, we saw the house listed for rent on a public website--making it clear we were deliberately misled. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
