BEWARNED - I took my Westie (west highland white terrier) here last week for a full body trim,…read moreserviced by Jolene, for the 1st time and will never trust them again. Please see the photos of the result; before the service we discussed a photo of a Westie face, half of the length off the body, and shorter hair on the legs. She took it upon herself without ANY discussion with me and CUT my baby's hair SO SHORT , I COULD NOT recognize her. She no longer has the signature westie face, has random wisps of hair on her face that were left long, and blade marks thru her body instead of a steady taper from her body to her legs. When I brought up how I distraught, upset and disappointed I was by her taking it upon herself to cut my dog's hair so short, how amateur the job looked and how unrcognizable my baby girl is, she barely apologized, said that HAIR GROWS BACK, did not sound remorseful and argued with me about MATTS in her fur when it is known by myself and my friend who both combed her frequently before the service that were NO matts or matted fur present. Take a look at the photos and decide if this is something you want for your precious pet. I paid $90 with tip and was NOT offered a refund or any compensation.

Before t aking my oldest to Tatsuma's... I thought it was normal for him to look like a mop. But…read moreTatsuma showed me a whole new world of possibilities with how my dog could look -- a whole new beautiful, well-groomed world! I remember that it was pretty simple to schedule with Tatsuma; just text him your dog's vaccination records for the initial visit after he confirms/if he is accepting new clients. The first thing I noticed about Tatsuma was his calm and CALMING demeanor. Tatsuma emits a very gentle and kind energy; important when working with dogs of all temperaments! At the visit, you'll fill out some paperwork for your fur baby regarding any issues, and how you would like your fur baby to be groomed. If you're not sure about how short to go with the coat, Tatsuma has faux fur so that you can really see/get an idea of what each length looks like. Visits would take 2.5-3 hours, but I was totally okay with that. Tatsuma was meticulous with his work, and had a keen eye for grooming detail. You can't rush perfection! And I wouldn't want to rush Tatsuma. I alway got the haircut, which included a bath, brush, nail trim, ear cleaning, and anal gland checking. And if you want the WORKS (teeth brushing, and not sure what else), I think it's an additional $5. Once you're set up with T-Dogs grooming, you can schedule out with Tatsuma for your next appointment because he gets really busy. Tatsuma also sends you reminder texts, which I super appreciate! If you're looking for a groomer to take care of your fuzzy fur baby (maybe yours is also looking like a mop), give Tatsuma a try. He totally transformed my beautiful mutt (terrier/poodle/spaniel mix); take a look at the pictures. PS. I think Tatsuma sews some of the holiday bandanas, because I remember getting one with a felt jack-o'-lantern on it. You can't beat that kind of thoughtfulness!

I've been coming to this groomer for over 11 years and have always had great experiences--until…read morenow. The new staff member (I believe her son) treated me horribly. I made a simple request, and he yelled at me, saying, 'If you don't like it here, you can go somewhere else.' I was shocked. The woman who has always groomed my dog is polite, skilled, and has given my adorable Yorkie the perfect teddy bear cut every time. This time, her son clearly did the grooming instead. He left a noticeable mustache on her face (which has never happened before) and was smirking at me when I picked her up. The regular groomer could tell the cut was poorly done, but she did nothing to fix it. Despite the disappointing result, I still left a tip, as I always do. It's really sad to see this business showing such poor judgment in hiring. I'm taking his advice and will be taking my dog somewhere else from now on.

I have to give Star Dogs their flowers. We have been taking our Shiba Inu in for the past 2 years…read moreand he ABSOLUTELY LOVES COMING IN! We were really skeptical on finding a groomer when we first adopted our shiba Kaytra. We got recommended by our friend to come here and never tried anywhere else ever since. Rika and her family always do a an amazing job at making Kaytra feel loved, comfortable and feeling fresh! We've never had any problems with telling them any specific needs he may have needed during a session. Kaytra literally RUNS into their shop! We can't even get him close to the bathroom without being suspicious! What the Star dogs team has going on has is something special and anyone we have recommended to since has the same experience. Expect a 2-3hr time frame once you have dropped off your pup, which does help plan out the day, they give you a call when he is ready and is never pushy/try to rush you to come pick them up. Love working with Star Dogs.
