Went last night with my husband to try this place and wasn't acknowledged at all. The two cashiers were just talking and ignored us over 5 minutes . We were the only customers there. After a while we just decided to leave and it was very disappointing. A simple "hello" or "welcome, we will be right with you" would've sufficed. read more

I had the medium size elote corn, and the tacos asada, the elote corn was not very good. The corn was hard, and it was very runny. The Tacos were good but nothing too special, but the #1 tacos asada does come with a Jalapeño popper and a small baked potato which were good! My total was a little over $16 for everything, so it wasn't bad for the amount of food I got. The service was slow, I was the only one there and waited about 7 minutes at the window in the drive thru before someone came to help me and take my order. Overall it was okay, nothing special, I would not go again, just save some money and go to Taco Bell and it'll be just as good. read more

The cashier was hella slow and in between each order she would run to the back to grab food that was ready for the customers sitting down. We waited in line 20 minutes and at this point we were irritated because we were so hungry. We placed our order and when we go to pay she sees our debit card and tells us in Spanish that... She can't take a debit payment BECAUSE SHE DOSENT KNOW HOW TO USE THE EFT MACHINE. What day in age is she living in? I haven't gone to Doggos, since about Jan 2023. The girl cashier took my debit card, and then asked me for my zip code. which is a red flag. I could easily see through the drive thru window, and she had an iPad running wires to her phone. She gave me back my card, but I instantly reported my card as compromised! Can I get Doggos to team up with El Chavo's Elotes? Please? Pretty please? I was on the hunt for some papas, specifically the type that are thin cut and fried... maybe on a stick... maybe covered in a sauce... who knows, but I wanted papas. My initial thought was the aforementioned El Chavo's, but they just didn't have what I wanted so the only other food stand I knew about was Doggos and I can say I'm happy I gave them a go. When you drive up you should be on the right side which is where you order. Once you've completed your order and paid, you drive around the to the other side to pick up your food. This is a good idea to keep the line from getting too long. I noticed they also have papas locas, but I went with the papas nachos and they were pretty dang good although I thought the portion was kind of small. On the upside it was really inexpensive. They didn't have as much on the menu as I would've liked, but there was definitely enough there to find something for everyone. Prices were good, the staff that we interacted with were okay (not super friendly, but they took our order and made it within a few minutes). Best Mexican Dog's in town. Unique flavors, not what I expected. Who puts avocado on their hot dogs? These guys do, and it's awesome! Papi and I were stuffed after the one dog. He wanted to eat another just for the flavor. For the uniqueness of the hot dogs, presentation of the El Pastor I think they could have charges a bit more. By grandpa not talking I'm assuming he enjoyed it. Downfalls the fountain drinks were not working, I was craving Manzanita soda. I think fries, tater tots or even tostada would be better than Doritos, I'm not a huge fan of eating something I can have at home. It may not be Doggos' fault but...the tortillas were soggy when I got home. I was tempted to start eating my asada tacos in the car or pull over but decided not to. Doggos has some tables outside but it was too cold. I also give it four stars because the elote en vaso (corn in a cup) wasn't too good. The corn tasted kind of bland and there wasn't too much Valentina Hot Sauce or queso in it. It had tons of butter and lime. I spilled some butter on the sofa! I've gone other times and it's tasted better. I can't complain about the asada or Chile. Both had a great flavor. The red Chile has a nice kick to it! The Chile verde (green) was also spicy. The price for the asada tacos, a can of soda, elote en vaso, a jalapeno popper with bacon and queso AND a papa (baked potato) was $8 and change. I may go back since it's reasonably priced. read more

Honestly I was kind of disappointed in the amount of meat I was given. I asked for an order of tacos and they told me it's enough meat for 4 tacos. I opened the box later on and it was barely enough for 2. They also kinda just threw in cilantro and no onions, which is weird. I thought the salsa would at least make it better but their guacamole salsa had no flavor. I think they water it down. I thought this place was awesome when they just had hot dogs and tortas. Both are among the best in the city, and that is without considering how ridiculously affordable the prices are. But now they've added tacos to the menu. The tacos al pastor are so good, I may not be able to order anything else there again. The tacos come with a baked potato, fresh avocado, salsa, and trimmings. They could easily charge twice as much as they do. You really need to go at least twice. Stopped in for a quick corn in the cup! It was great! It had all the elements needed; corn, tons of butter, tajin, lime, Valentina, and some cheese. The price was lower than the place we usually go by Resler and Mesa, but the cheese was added with a really light hand! That's my only criticism (but we know that's a critical part of a quality elote), it was delicious and a good value. I like that it's located close to home. It's the only place like this in the Kern/UTEP/Mesa Hills area and I like that it's not crowded. It has a pretty good menu for being a small drive through place. This time when we ordered we left and all good, & we finally get to our destination & IT WAS THE WRONG ORDER. We go back and explain to them what happened, & THEY STILL DECIDE TO CHARGE US EXTRA FOR THEIR MISKTAKES! & to top it all off, they got the receipt, bundled it in their first, and gave t to us as if it was our fault! However they did ask us if we wanted anything extra (extra cheese, salsa,etc...) AND STILL WANTED TO CHARGE while laughing at our faces.
