I called and also came by to inquire on prices for services for my small dog. Both times, I could not get an answer. I don't have nothing against the owner, both times I talked to her, I could see she was harmless & maybe she's nice. Although my pup was scared of her & kept growling or hiding behind me because she felt nervous. I tried to get her hair trimmed & nails clipped, but it just wasn't meant to be. My dog is scared of her and well that's where I'm at. Maybe she's good for other dogs, but my dog gets scared every time she tried petting her, so it just didn't work for us. read more

We have been taking our english springer spaniel to her since we got him 6 years ago. We do lots of backpacking and hiking and his long hair picks up the whole trail. Jane manages to get him squeaky clean and treats him like her own. The quality of her services are great and the prices are great also! read more

Doggie Doolittle's Grooming - Before + After - Pet Groomers Near Me - El Segundo, California

I learned my lesson! I'm new to YELP and will faithfully read reviews before going anywhere and doing anything! I feel so terrible at what my 10 year old chihuahua just went thru. I should have protected her more! I did a search on the internet for Dog Groomers in El Segundo. This one came up. I needed my ten year old senior chihuahua's nails cut. When I walked into Doggie Doolittle's, the overpowering smell of animal urine almost made me vomit! THAT smell is a big sign of a dirty groomers! I SHOULD have walked right out! I met the groomer Jane, explaining to her, my dog was old, ten years, she weighed about 12-14 pounds, and I wanted to hold her while Jane trimmed her nails. All of a sudden, Jane GRABS me dog by the scruff of her neck lifting her over the counter and walks away to the back saying I'll be right back. The whole time holding my old dog by the scruff of her neck, my dog was yelping in pain! WHO DOES THIS TO AN OLD DOG? I was so upset and yelled excuse me! Excuse me! She did not return. I could then hear my dog yelping as if each time she was cutting her nails, it would hurt her! A few minutes later, Jane returned with my dog who I could see was visibly upset! GIVE ME MY DOG! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? I paid the $10 for the torture to my dog and left. IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG, PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE HERE OR LEAVE HERE. I only wish I would have read the other reviews on here before taking my beloved Cheyenne there! Who do we report this unacceptable shop to? read more

My dog picked something. Taking her to the vet tomorrow, fever, no appetite and unable to walk her mile everyday.

I just took my Cocker Spaniel, Betty Boop, in to Doggie Doolittle's for a haircut. After her shampoo and haircut. she looked and smelled fabulous. Jane did a great job and Betty seemed very happy. Her store is very cute and Jane seemed very knowledgeable and gave me great advice on caring for Betty's ears. read more

Doggie Doolittle's Grooming - Betty Boop after her haircut and shampoo at Doggie Doolittle. - Pet Groomers Near Me - El Segundo, California

I have been trying to look for a groomer that's close by my work to bring my little fluffball to and of course I had to get my yelp on to get the search started. I called this place up & spoke with Jane. Wow! Her attitude was just so rude! It felt like pulling teeth trying to get her to answer some simple basic questions about her services. It felt like I was such a hassle and an inconvenience for me to even be on the phone with her. 1 minute into the 1 worded answers & she literally just hung up on me halfway into my next question LOL I hope she's more friendlier to the dogs that come here ! read more

Healthy Spot in Marina Del Rey was able to bathe and groom Charlie without any problems. Seems like his issue with grooming is limited to incompetent groomers like Doggie Doolittle's. read more

Jane is the best! She loves my dogs and does amazing work! She's very flexible and her pricing is great! Been using her for over a decade! Exceptional! read more

I tried to take my dog in and when the owner opened the door, my dog started reversing, freaking out and barking. My dog has has never done this before, she loves everyone. The person working was so bizarre and even though there was an open sign up, she was actually closed. After taking a closer look, the outside of the place is incredibly dirty and by the way my dog reacted, if you really want to go here, would make sure your dog likes the owner before going in. Was so sad to hear how the other reviewers dog was traumatized by the experience. read more

Jane has been taking care of my German Shepherd for over 5 years and trust me she's 95lbs of a lot to handle, and Jane does am amazing job. Before my shepherd she took care of our family dog for at least 15 years. I couldn't ask for more!! Thanks Jane!!!! read more

I have taken my yorkie here and Jane has always done a good job. I understand that she's not much for words in person or over the phone....but she is definitely not rude. I think that's just her personality and should not be judged as rude. She does a good job with the animals, is gentle and loving towards them. She is also reasonably priced. I will definitely keep coming back. read more

I've been taking my dog Miles to Jane at Doggie Doolittle's for the past 3 years. The other reviewer that gave her a one star, is a bit harsh. This is a one lady business, and she takes pride in her work. I agree it's a bit difficult on the phone, but that's why you need to go to her place with your dog, talk to her face-to-face asking any questions needed, and give her try. I've tried other places like "bubbles pet spa" in manhattan beach, but I like the attention that Jane gives my dog, the prices are great, and her work is top-notch (I'll post some before/after pics of my dog soon). So again, give her try if your in the area! read more

A very sweet lady that loves dogs runs this place.. I have a special-needs dog that I needed to board for a couple of days. My regular groomer told me about Jane and said she loves dogs more than she loves people I found that to be true. That was fine with me because I do too.. The care she gave my dog was worth 1000 stars. I could tell the whole time I was gone she was loved. Jane was with her 24 seven you can't ask for more than that. Her place is as cute as can be and I loved all the pictures on the wall and how clean she has everything. This place is very personal to her and it shows. read more

Jane does a fantastic job. I've been going to her for the last 7 months and she leaves my babies clean & fluffy. Jane may seem a little standoffish at first, but she's a very sweet lady who cares about our babies and I respect that. She's very flexible with last minute appts - love it! My babies love Jane and I'll continue bringing them to her as long as she's open. read more

Jane at Doggie Doolittle's has been my groomer of choice for at least 20 years, even when she worked at another groomers. She has groomed my 2 large dogs (Husky and Collie) and now my 2 cats. Jane is extremely good with animals, they get careful attention, come home clean and fresh and not stressed. Jane is a little different with people, and sometimes that turns off clients, But, heh, I'm not there to be entertained! I'm there to have a great job done with proper care for my animals! And that's what you'll get! (Just a note, she only takes dogs. She no longer takes cats and my cats are the only ones done.) read more

Jane at Doggie Doolittle's is awesome. She took care of our very large male collie named Cooper for 12 years and he always looked amazing. I once took him to a different groomer and his beautiful coat was all chopped up. We now have another collie, a smaller female and Jane does a great job on this puppy too. She is also very loving to animals and very concerned for their well being. I highly recommend Doggie Doolittle's after 14 years of service from Jane. read more
