Breakfast burritos
Andrea U.

We randomly chose this restaurant since it was close to our appointment area. Never been to one like this before. The guy at the register was super nice. Took time to help me pick out our food. Food was delicious, slightly toast, toasted tortilla, tater tots crisp, generous portions. (when burrito is smaller since I requested no egg.) we ate in the nice clean restaurant. I noticed the guy at the register was just as nice to the next three patrons. There were maintenance guys working on the soda machine and he even offered them a free lunch.

this place was a complete surprise especially for their breakfast burritos-we tried the Haus Burrito and cajun! the haus had perfect balance of breakfast classics the eggs hv to b sunny side up! the cajun was a yummy surprise in every bite! the staff were friendly and it had an inviting and clean dining room.

I generally love Dog Haus. Food is always great, I am never disappointed with any of their $16 breakfast burritos. Only complaint that rubbed me wrong is you have to be "in uniform" to receive their military discount. Does not matter if you are active duty with your ID present, they will not give you the military discount. For me that just didn't sit right.

Was in the Thousand Oaks area looking for some breakfast food and found their breakfast burritos that sounded intriguing. I've been to dog Haus many years ago but never knew that they had some breakfast burritos. I was surprised that the breakfast burritos were actually pretty good, a bit on the pricier side but overall pretty good. The inside the restaurant was just like every other dog haus, but I believe that they had an outdoor dining area as well. The cashier was helpful on letting us know the popular breakfast burritos that they offered.

Dog Haus serves up a great selection of hotdogs, sausages, burgers, chicken, and more. The menu is not set in stone, as one can customize any of their quality offerings. From the friendly order takers to the quick and efficient cooks, our visit was a positive experience. At this location, there are inside individual and communal tables, as well as patio dining with space for groups. We enjoyed their Cowboy and Chili The Kid hausdogs with a side order of tater tots. The Cowboy is a smoky bacon-wrapped dog with cheddar cheese sauce, crispy onions, and topped with BBQ sauce. Their Chili The Kid contains white American cheese, Haus chili, crispy onions, and topped with a chipotle aioli sauce. The Dog Haus uses King's Hawaiian Rolls as their base bun, which adds a bit of sweetness to each selection. Both dogs we ordered were quite tasty, messy in a good way, and filling. The tater tots were perfectly prepared - crispy outside with a pillowy soft inside. Tip: Dog Haus also offers many different Haus egg Breakfast Burritos for a flavorful boost anytime of the day.

I am going to give an honest review. It was a clean and welcoming restaurant with plenty of menu options, but I did not really enjoy my lunch here. I came last week with my boyfriend and ordered the Sooo Cali Dog (wild arguela, avocado, tomato, crispy onions, and spicy basil aioli). That sounds like a great combination. However, the basil aioli was very strong and ruined the whole taste of the hot dog for me. My boyfriend ordered the Old Town Dog (smoked bacon, caramelized onions, chipotle aioli, pickled jalapeños, and cotija cheese) and he enjoyed his more than I enjoyed mine. We shared the tater tots, which were fine. The menu did have other options besides hot dogs (sausage, chicken, burgers, sliders, etc). I would be willing to try something else next time, but for now, it was just okay for me.

I'm not sure how I haven't reviewed this location before but it's long overdue. I've been a fan of Dog Haus now for over a decade since they opened their Pasadena location and was super happy when they had finally opened up one in the 805 years ago. Dog Haus has truly stellar hotdogs, burgers, and sides. Hotdogs are one of my favorite foods so any excuse to get a dressed up hotdog is okay by me. This location is off the freeway so easy in that way but it's a little confusing getting to the parking lot as you kind of have to go around the building from seeing it off the street. At night their parking lot isn't my favorite as it's not well lit but during the day it's much easier to navigate. They do have their own parking lot shared with the other food businesses so I haven't had much issue with parking. The restaurant itself is always clean and tidy. The inside has tables and long high top bars to eat at while also having a small patio area outside. This location isn't as big as some of their others but it fits the community well as I've never seen it too crowded inside. The menu is large and they have a great deal of special toppings to make your burger or hotdog unique. You really can't go wrong here with a menu this big. Time and time again my go to order is the So Cali hotdog hold the tomatoes and easy on the arugula. It's a devious hotdog with a more refreshing bite due to the aioli and greens. The hotdog is always super tasty and you can't go wrong with their soft but toasted Hawaiian hotdog buns. My friend told me their wings are fantastic here and he wasn't joking. Some of the best wings I've had at a non wing specific spot. Warning though - the wings are cooked fresh to order and seem to take about 15-20 minutes, it was worth it as the wings were hot and crispy but good to know if you are in a hurry. Anyways, the wings were uber crunchy and I like that the sauce is almost baked/fried into the wing. It wasn't messy or overly saucy which was really nice but trust me it had a good strong buffalo flavor. The three of us that tried the wings agreed these are supreme. Staff and service have always been nice here. Out of five visits here only once was the cashier not outright friendly, but he also wasn't rude either, just a little dry in customer service. But overall except for my last experience, everyone is usually pretty engaged and outright friendly, happy to have your business. It's a good spot and the staff really hustle here with the dine in and takeout orders. A great causal spot for some dogs and even beer. Ps - all of the dog haus franchises play the best rock and roll hits. Got to love it. Good tunes make me happy.

We had Dog Haus again tonight, bout ready to do some damage to this delicious-looking dog, "The Cowboy" cause it's been a while since I had one and I got a side of fries and ranch to dip! Mmmmm! I already inhaled all my fries but not before I got a picture of how perfect these fries are! They are crunchy, and fried to absolute perfection! The house miso ranch is the perfect accompaniment! I've had hundreds of thousands of fries in my 54 years, but these are the BEST FRIES I've ever had! Dinner time! Don't my dog cold!!

Walking up feels like stepping into a 90s time capsule in the best way possible. Classic diner vibes, no frills, just hot dogs, burgers, chicken sandwiches and sides. The owners are incredibly kind and efficient, as everything is cooked fresh to order. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating so I grabbed a table outside to soak up that sunshine. Here's what I ordered: Chili Cheese Dog: (upgraded to the Hebrew National) 10/10. Having tried both of their hotdogs, definitely get the Hebrew National over the regular one. It's bigger and more flavorful in my opinion. This thing was loaded. Flavorful chili, melty cheese, and fresh diced onions, all tucked into a perfectly grilled hot dog roll. This is definitely the dog to get if you're torn between all of the options. Street Dog: A bacon wrapped dog with ketchup, mayo and mustard and veggies (I customized mine a bit so opted out of the onion and jalapeño). If you're a fan of bacon wrapped hot dogs, this is always a solid choice too. Pro tip: These hot dogs are HUGE. I was not prepared. One would've easily done the job so next time I'm just grabbing one and adding a side of onion rings because they looked incredible. Overall a very satisfying lunch for under $20 for two dogs and a soda. Great to have a long standing hotdog restaurant in the 805.

For appetizers we had: - deviled eggs - came with 5 halves and were just meh - poke nachos - onion rings - massive for 5 ppl but pretty standard Entrees are slightly small but it matches the price. Peggy's crispy chicken sandwich was crispy but kinda tasteless. The truffle fries came with lots of cheese and were good. The Wagyu burger was good. Splitting the check on the machine was so smooth. Not off the charts amazing, but they check the boxes. My pop had the tuna melt, and it must have been good because he finished every last bite. The restaurant is clean but clearly shows its age, although the seating appears to have been reupholstered fairly recently. Staff were professional and efficient. Counter ordering, a table number placed at the seat, and the food came out in just the right amount of time. Total cost was just under $40 for two people. Not cheap, but in line with what you expect these days for a sit down lunch with burgers, sides, and drinks. There aren't many independent places like this anymore. I'm rounding up a star due to its legendary status and long term consistency. It had been many years but the experience was exactly the same.

The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between relaxed and elevated--comfortable enough to unwind, but still polished enough to feel like you're treating yourself. Now let's talk about the food... because this is where things really stood out. We ordered the Inside Out Quesadilla, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and the Honey Feta Dip--and every single dish delivered. The Inside Out Quesadilla was next level. Crispy, loaded, and packed with flavor in every bite. It's not your typical quesadilla--it's elevated comfort food done right, with the perfect texture and just the right amount of richness. The Chicken Lettuce Wraps were fresh, clean, and incredibly well-balanced. Great crunch, flavorful chicken, and that satisfying mix of savory and slightly sweet that keeps you going back for another wrap. And the Honey Feta Dip... easily a standout. That sweet-and-salty combo was addictive. Creamy, rich, and perfectly paired with what they serve alongside it--honestly one of those dishes you end up talking about after you leave. But what really took this visit over the top was the service. Our server, Chris, was outstanding--attentive without hovering, genuinely friendly, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. You can tell when someone actually cares about your experience, and Chris absolutely did. On top of that, the manager David came by and made a point to check-in since he heard it was our first time, which says a lot about how the place is run. He was professional, personable, and clearly takes pride in making sure guests have a great time. That kind of leadership shows throughout the whole operation. Overall, this wasn't just a good meal--it was a full experience. Great food, great people, and a place that clearly knows how to do things right. At the time the dining room was sparsely populated, only a few other tables were seated. We were seated quickly by the hostess and ordered within a few minutes of sitting down; my wife ordered the seafood pasta I ordered the butternut squash ravioli and the tomato burrata salad as an appetizer. After about 20 minutes the waitress returned to let us know that they were out of the pasta, so my wife asked for the risotto instead. The salad arrived quickly, however my wife noted that it was missing grilled peaches that were listed in the menu description, a disappointment. The salad itself was balsamic dressed cherry tomatoes with a single piece of burrata on top. Another 40 minutes later our entrees finally arrived. Much to my dismay my dish lacked any appreciable character; it was as if they had cooked six month old frozen pasta and thrown up a brown sauce with fried sage on top. My wife's risotto was mostly cheese but was also similarly devoid of other flavors. Now to be fair to the folks here, I did mention to the waitstaff that the flavors in the food were off and they did reduce the bill. They were also apologetic about the wait we faced. Nevertheless, restaurants have three things they need to do well in order to be successful: food, service and ambience. Perhaps if they improved the quality of the food and the time to service more people would come. Needless to say, but I won't be returning.

I'd been wanting to go back and take Dear Hubby to enjoy this very special re-imagining of the previous space, which had been an Irish pub incarnation. When our sister-in-law and two nieces were in town, the five of us were able to spend a quick evening together at Selvin's. We had been working on a project at our house, and by the time we got finished and ready to go out there wasn't a lot of time left as we went on a weeknight and they close at 9:00. I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. Dear Hubby and I shared Pappardelle Pasta and a Tuna Tartare appetizer. Both were excellent. One of our nieces ordered the taco platter. Wait till you see the photo. The only thing that was disappointing, menu-wise, was that bread wasn't included, so we ordered some as a side. Two little slices. I've forgotten the price, but I recall that it turned into sticker shock when we saw what was served. I'm tickled that they offer a nice array of zero proof cocktail options. They aren't inexpensive - apparently spirits without alcohol aren't any less (or maybe only slightly less?) than the full-spirited options. Still, it's nice to have the option. Our out of town family members LOVED Selvin's; it was a big hit with all of us. As an added bonus, there was a guitarist playing beautiful acoustic music when we arrived and were seated in the lounge area. Major extra credit!

AI... The…read moretemperature and atmosphere were on point -- quiet enough that my partner and I could actually hear each other instead of doing the usual "WHAT?" across the table. Food came out fast, which was great. The hamburgers showed up a little lukewarm... like they had just finished a light jog instead of a full workout. Bathroom was clean, which already puts this place ahead of a surprising number of establishments. We sat at the bar, and the redheaded bartender was awesome -- super nice, accommodating, and honestly carrying the VIP energy of the evening

Came for a birthday lunch Sunday around 1PM and got seated immediately. The restaurant was pretty…read moreempty but it seemed they had 2 servers for the entire floor, but they did their best! Food came out pretty slow but there's plenty of garlic rolls to supplement the wait. It seems that the wait for food is always the same regardless of capacity so don't come if you're starving. Got brisket sliders which were pretty good, our 2 classic burgers were both medium rare, despite one being ordered medium well. Like a large pink center, but it's fine. The bbq salad is so good though, the perfect mix of bbq meat and fresh lettuce that complements perfectly. The sliders are good but a bit boring, they have a lunch special where it's 2 sliders and a side/soup but I feel they wouldn't be as fulfilling as the other items on the menu for a similar price. Garlic rolls are so soft and buttery. I think our server's name was Jaqueline? So sorry if I'm getting this wrong, but she was managing at least 5 tables from my POV, but she checked on us regularly! Our waters were never empty and everything was great!
