Doug Haus never dissapoints! This place is genuinely so good! If your a hot dog fan, don't look any further this will be your spot. Stopped by on a Saturday for lunch and picked up the downtown dog. Got in around 1:30pm and walked right up to place my order. For $13 bucks I can't complain because this thing was loaded and a good size for the price. The Downtown dog came loaded with peppers, onions, bacon and mayonnaise and mustard. All hot dog ingredients were definitely of great quality to which I greatly appreciated. Overall, I can't wait to come back here again as this is my closest Dog Haus now. Super thankful to have them out here in TO now. My wife's was $13 and noticeably better than mine, so I may have ordered wrong. The coffee was warm (not hot) and really dark--so dark that even four half-and-half creams barely made a dent. The inside feels more like a cafeteria with long shared tables, which isn't really my vibe. We sat outside instead, but it's right on a busy street, so between traffic noise and tailpipe exhaust, it wasn't exactly the most peaceful breakfast. We also got a front-row seat to someone being pulled over and yelled at by the police, which was... unexpected breakfast entertainment. My husband came here for a burger, and unfortunately the burger was not as good as he had imagined it to be - and the wait was about 20-30 minutes when it was just us and another 2 couples in the restaurant. The vibes of the place are great but have been avoiding this place for overpriced meals & long wait times - especially when there are other fantastic options nearby (at least for burgers!). We randomly chose this restaurant since it was close to our appointment area. Never been to one like this before. The guy at the register was super nice. Took time to help me pick out our food. Food was delicious, slightly toast, toasted tortilla, tater tots crisp, generous portions. (when burrito is smaller since I requested no egg.) we ate in the nice clean restaurant. I generally love Dog Haus. Food is always great, I am never disappointed with any of their $16 breakfast burritos. Only complaint that rubbed me wrong is you have to be "in uniform" to receive their military discount. Does not matter if you are active duty with your ID present, they will not give you the military discount. For me that just didn't sit right. read more

I moved away for about six years, came back and one of the first places I wanted to eat was here and I was not disappointed. It was just as yummy as it had been. Staff very friendly and helpful as I had not been here they made some suggestions. The restaurant was clean and the outside dinning were I ate was also clean which is always a plus. I will continue to show up and eat, but I must say the only issue I have is that I had a hot dog about $10.50, tator tots, and a very small drink (with free refills a plus) and the total came to about $18.50 with tax. That is just TOO much for a casual fast food type meal in my opinion. I have been a professional chef and consultant for 25 years and I definitely understand what is going on in the industry just as a consumer it is a lot to stomach no pun intended. We ordered for the hot dog sliders with fries and an apple juice for my kid. The apple juice is an Honest Apple. Fortunately for me he wasn't a fan of the fries. They were crispy battered style fries, some of the best I've had, but not to his liking. The hot dogs are thick, he took a bite and said it was delicious. I confirmed they were flavorful and come in a sweet bun. The ketchup had a slight spice to it. My kid opted to eat his hot dog sliders without anything due to the slightly spicy aftertaste of their ketchup. As far as their cleanliness, the outside tables could use a power wash, as could the inside floors, but other than that everything was ok. However, the basil aioli was very strong and ruined the whole taste of the hot dog for me. I'm not sure how I haven't reviewed this location before but it's long overdue. I've been a fan of Dog Haus now for over a decade since they opened their Pasadena location and was super happy when they had finally opened up one in the 805 years ago. Dog Haus has truly stellar hotdogs, burgers, and sides. Hotdogs are one of my favorite foods so any excuse to get a dressed up hotdog is okay by me. This location is off the freeway so easy in that way but it's a little confusing getting to the parking lot as you kind of have to go around the building from seeing it off the street. At night their parking lot isn't my favorite as it's not well lit but during the day it's much easier to navigate. They do have their own parking lot shared with the other food businesses so I haven't had much issue with parking. The restaurant itself is always clean and tidy. The inside has tables and long high top bars to eat at while also having a small patio area outside. This location isn't as big as some of their others but it fits the community well as I've never seen it too crowded inside. The menu is large and they have a great deal of special toppings to make your burger or hotdog unique. You really can't go wrong here with a menu this big. Time and time again my go to order is the So Cali hotdog hold the tomatoes and easy on the arugula. It's a devious hotdog with a more refreshing bite due to the aioli and greens. The hotdog is always super tasty and you can't go wrong with their soft but toasted Hawaiian hotdog buns. My friend told me their wings are fantastic here and he wasn't joking. Some of the best wings I've had at a non wing specific spot. Warning though - the wings are cooked fresh to order and seem to take about 15-20 minutes, it was worth it as the wings were hot and crispy but good to know if you are in a hurry. Anyways, the wings were uber crunchy and I like that the sauce is almost baked/fried into the wing. It wasn't messy or overly saucy which was really nice but trust me it had a good strong buffalo flavor. The three of us that tried the wings agreed these are supreme. Staff and service have always been nice here. Out of five visits here only once was the cashier not outright friendly, but he also wasn't rude either, just a little dry in customer service. But overall except for my last experience, everyone is usually pretty engaged and outright friendly, happy to have your business. It's a good spot and the staff really hustle here with the dine in and takeout orders. A great causal spot for some dogs and even beer. Quick casual place to grab lunch. I came here when they were hot dogs with special toppings, but the menu has expanded extensively since I last visited. They have burgers and breakfast burritos now. The ambience is both unique and interesting. The space itself is relatively small, but with only a couple other people eating in, we did not have a problem grabbing a table. Overall, I thought the food was decent. Two corn dogs was more than enough to satisfy. As I'm not a big hot dog fan in general, I won't be rushing to come back here any time soon, but I certainly wouldn't be opposed to returning if a friend suggested it. I'm hoping someone can see this: I think I have ordered the breakfast burritos to go at least once month for almost 4 years, and they have been consistently amazing until... the last two times. I don't know how you under cook the outside so the burrito is cold and the cheese isn't melted yet OVERcook the eggs inside but it's happened twice in a row with a total of 4 x burritos. There are many food options to satisfy varying palates. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the Impossible food options and other vegetarian food items available (sausage, tenders, burritos, etc). The vegetarian Bad Mutha Clucka sandwich was recommended and I thoroughly enjoyed it. All ingredients were put together nicely - crisp lettuce and soft bun. I also ordered well done onion rings and they were perfectly made with a side of ranch dressing. I am pleased with Dog Haus and I plan to come back to try some other vegetarian options on the menu. Location is RIGHT on thousand oaks Blvd 150 ft from the 101 freeway with the added benefit of the air blowers from the Shell drive through car wash making it nothing but noisey and loud We asked if the fries were regular fries or if the were coated and seasoned and they said "only salted" so I ordered a burger and fries. Turns out the fries are coated in that gawdawful flour and seasoning stuff, so they tasted just like the Head Chef at Dog Haus designed them to taste, but nothing like French Fries are supposed to taste like. The burger was great tasting! Unfortunately it was constructed on some sort of 4way bun ... think like 4 Kings Hawaiian Dinner Rolls not separated. After the first bite the to bun had separated into two halves and after the burger was half consumed the other half had disintegrated into pile of goo in the tray. My girlfriend's kraft dog similarly disintegrated and her onion rings were of that same type- flour and seasoning coating, not breadcrumb like actual onion rings. My evaluation of Dog Haus is that it's one of those places where the Corporate Chef designs the food based on how they want it to look read more

My husband really likes this place. Me, not so much. There isn't much to eat if you are a vegetarian. They do have a Beyond Sausage dog. If you are a meat eater, there are lots of hot dog and hamburger choices. What I really don't like is how sweet the buns are. Sweet buns don't seem to me to go with savory dishes. The fries are just ok. You order at the counter and they bring the food to the table. The tables were visibly really greasy and sticky. This is the definition of a gourmet hot dog restaurant. We got the Downtown Dog, and it was delicious with a perfect dog - crisp on the bite but juicy inside. Loved the onions and bacon on top, and the Hawaiian roll bun really brought it all together. A top notch dog. Ironically, though, my favorite part wasn't even the hot dog! One of their side options is TATOR TOTS. And what can be a better side than tator tots? Super crispy without being over cooked. Really rounded out the meal. The location is nice too, and it has both indoor and outdoor seating. Only thing with outdoor seating is it's right on a major road, so the noise might be a little louder.
