Someone please reply if this place is supposed to be like D*cks where the servers are intentionally super rude. But since I wasn't expecting that this place is one star. The man who took my order was so rude and then I had the same experience with the bartender. The food was fine but I drink IPAs enough to know when they're watered down, and this one certainly was. Definitely will not be back and don't recommend anyone try this place. For such a cute space, Silver Spring deserves a better local spot read more

*noting we only went to this location for happy hour because they are an option on the DC Pub Pass- it wasn't a great happy hour spot-granted the whole appeal of the place is their food & we weren't eating- take my review with a grain of salt. Centrally located in downtown Silver Spring, we grabbed a seat at the bar for HH, as indoor seating was cramped & outdoor seating didn't look appealing (their other locations definitely have better ambiance) The bartender was friendly, offering samples before committing- but honestly prices were jacked up to begin with $9-11a beer, so happy hour only took the price down to normal beer prices-this wasn't worth it for the minimal variety available. Might as well go directly to the brewery to support. read more

The food is good, but the prices don't match the location. I wanted to get one lettuce wrap burger, and it cost me almost $20--just for one. Imagine trying to eat for two at this place. Even Five Guys is cheaper. This isn't Los Angeles or Vegas; it's Maryland, where the minimum wage is $15 an hour. If I just want something quick like a burger or fries, it shouldn't cost $40-$50 for one meal. That's just too much. They really need to do better with their pricing. This is going to be my last time eating here. I might as well just go to Five Guys. read more

I've been waiting for this location to open, and though it's been open for a while, I was finally able to visit. I went on a Friday night, and it was pretty packed. Service wasn't bad at all, and my friend and I were able to find somewhere to sit. We ordered a couple cocktails to start. I got the Gin-n-Juice, which tasted great and beautifully presented with a hibiscus flower. I later on ordered the Irish Hello which was great as well. To eat, I got three impossible sliders, and they were topped with just caramelized onions and mayo. They were absolutely amazing! I literally can't stop thinking about them lol. I think what really got me were the buns. They had a sweet taste to them. So, my experience here was great. I've been to the Bethesda location quite a few times, so I'm glad there's a location slightly closer. read more

I saw online that they had sandwiches, etc. based on impossible "meat" products. I went there prepared to remove the egg, remove the cheese, and remove the spicy aioli (because of vegan diet). To my surprise, not on the menu, the server told me that they had vegan eggs, vegan cheese, and vegan aioli. I was VERY happily surprised. I was able to carry home to my vegan wife the vegan burrito bounty I was able to find in a place where vegan is kinda sparse. Big kudos!!! read more

Very solid beer place. The menu is pretty diverse and broad, with just about every category of beer and basics on wine/cocktails represented. They have the cool new local crafts as well as the go-tos like Golden Monkey and Sierra Nevada hop bullet. Beer people will like it here and their wine/cocktail friends will be happy too. Atmosphere is relaxed with tvs and nice bartenders. I'll be coming back! read more

Food, service and ambiance was good ! Have a nice variety of hot dogs and beers ! It was a bar where you can just enjoy your self!

I don't know if it's b/c it's late but the customer service is a bit lacking to say the least! I came in and sat at the bar, I wasn't immediately greeted, which , I didn't necessarily mind. Finally, one of the guys at the bar says, "do you want to order?" I said, yes, he replied, you have to order at the register. The register he was referring to was close to the door and I was seated to the side. I got up to order my food, oh, now, I understand , he profiled me, I overhear him telling the other guests (which I'll get into) that if you try to leave w/o paying a sensor goes off and picture is taken. I wasn't going to post until I saw 2 what look like Hispanic guys come in, they look like the 2 guys behind the bar. They gave them menus and allowed them to order from the bar! I white lady came in after them, same thing, order directly from the bar. It's a sad society we live in. I doubt I'll be back here based on this experience. Wow, another white guy walks in, sits next to me, the same guy that told me I needed to order from the register, hands him a menu!!! You can't make this stuff up... read more

Hubby and I are new to MD and we had taste for some Hot dogs. Found this place on yelp and thought we give it a try. The Hot Dogs was Delicious! I ordered a Long Island Ice Tea and it was Perfect!! Hubby ordered a beer and said it was a Very Good Beer Ambience was nice, service was fast and friendly. Can't wait to return!!!! ***just read some of the negative reviews and kinda shocked to read it, because it most definitely wasn't our experience. Would hate to return and feel differently. But again it was a Great experience for us and we were there 5/18/24 around 10:00pm read more

I was in town for a last-minute trip and needed a place to grab a quick bite to eat late at night. This fit the bill since they're open later than most other places in the area. The food here is pretty good; I enjoyed the sausage I had. Some of the food at other tables nearby looked better than what I picked, but you can't go wrong with a dog. The drinks were great! I loved the two cocktails I had and would definitely get them again if I popped into another location. read more

I just ordered Door dash from here the other day and got the holy aioli burger and fries. I was so disappointed as the last time I visited in person the food was actually good but the service was terrible. However this time, the fries were extremely salty, i tried wiping the salt down with a paper towel and it was no help. I literally felt like my ankles were getting swollen from eating these extremely salty fries. The garlic aioli on the burger was not good at all. The burger was not seasoned at all and just wasn't good, completely wasted $30. I wish the app had an option to get the garlic aioli on the side. So disappointing, if you order on door dash just stick with the regular cheeseburger and stay away from the fries. Better yet, order elsewhere. read more

The Dog Haus, offers limited parking which may require payment. However, the staff and ambiance are welcoming and clean, with an impressive selection of 24 beers on tap. My first choice, the Soo Cali, featured a warm, soft bun distinct from traditional hotdog bread, complemented by buttered toppings with a hint of lime zest. Notably, the hotdogs aren't acidic. The second option, Old Town, delivered a rich, sweet, smoky, and jalapeños flavor profile. showcasing the variety of flavors available. Overall, Dog Haus elevates hotdogs to a new level, and it's worth every penny to have lunch or relax and eat . Gracias!" read more

Dog Haus is a cool place to get a quick lunch. One unique thing is that the burger base are Hawaiian dinner rolls. I elected to get the "That Burger" on happy hour and the happy hour tots but they give me fries (bartenders was able to quickly fix it) . The That burger happy hour size comes with two rolls but one is only shown in picture because I was hungry. The first Kiss cocktail was a great choice!! It was pretty nice outside as I walked over from the parking garage next door, so I ordered and sat in the outdoor dining area. They brought out my food when it was ready, I got the chili the kid dog. This was good washed down with an orange Fanta. The chili was slightly spicy, the Hawaiian roll bun was slightly sweet, and white cheddar cheese mild. Each bite of the savory hot dog left me craving the other flavors. It was topped with crispy onions that stuck to the chili like an edible garnish. All I can say is be nice to the dogs, they're good! read more

Custom "special" hot dogs and burgers made to order. Great staff who are friendly and helpful. I had some surgery so I had some trouble walking and they would carry them out to the car. The food is tasty. A little bit overpriced. The weakness is their series of failed apps which lead you in circles, cannot ever recognize the deals (such as BOGO) that they alert you to in email but then cannot honor. I honestly think this is one of the best secret spots in Silver Spring! The food is epic! The hot dogs! The sliders! The breakfast burritos! Dog Haus offers fantastic, inventive, food and reasonable prices in a casual and welcoming atmosphere. My girl and I tried two of their burgers at the restaurant recently after ordering delivery from them several times. We tried their holy aioli burger and another one that had onion rings on it (forgot the name). They serve all their burgers and dogs on kings Hawaiian rolls, which adds a subtle sweetness to each meal and makes each item easy to share among friends. I look forward to coming back to try some of their their items. The staff here were friendly and the service was surprising quick. read more

We stopped by here after a long day of moving to the area. Overall, I thought Dog Haus was the perfect spot to "hydrate" with beers and cocktails. I was quite impressed with the massive selections of draft beers. I think that I counted about 5 IPAs, which are my go-to beers (so extra points in this review). While the beers and cocktails were delicious, the food was so-so. Actually, I think the food was so-so because our order may have been left at the pass for a bit. By the time our dogs, fries, and tater tots came to where we were sitting at the bar, they were a bit cold. While the service was fine, I have to admit that I was a bit confused with the ordering situation. It seems that some people, who were at the bar and tables, had to order at the register, whereas others did not. For our meal and drinks, we ordered from the bartender at the table. Maybe the folks ordering at the register did not open a tab and were paying for each drink at the time of ordering. read more

I came here with some friends since we'd all been eyeing the opening of this spot and we had a great time! I feel you can't go wrong here- they have food for many diets, an assortment of beer, reasonable cocktails, TVs, happy hour specials and a full bar. We ordered the tater tots, fries, several different beers, and some cocktails and enjoyed it all. The cocktails were delicious. Excited to go back! read more

Pros: *Ordered 'Sooo Cali' roll (beef frank, arugula, avocado, tomato, fried onions on Kings Hawaiian Roll). Food was okay, but beef frank was disappointing. *Diverse menu - pork/beef hot dogs, burgers, breakfast burritos, corndogs, nuggets, wings, + chicken sandwiches/tenders. *Informal environment - bar, tv screens, + no waiters (in case you don't like tipping). *Open late - 11PM (Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed), 2AM on (Thur, Fri, Sat). Cons: *Was expecting a tender/succulent beef frank, but when bitten into it had a 'rubbery snap' + consistency, common w/ low quality hot dogs. *KH roll is very large compared to hot dog frank, uneven ratio leads to many bland mouthfuls of bread. *KH roll has perforations - so hot dog roll breaks apart easily when eating. *Weak price/value - Signature hot dogs ($9.49+), Burgers/Burritos ($12.69+). Overall: Good for hot dog cravings, but don't set expectations too high. Grilled KH roll is coolest feature, but you will pay for it. Chain has alot of potential, would consider returning to try their non hot-dog items (burgers/burritos). read more

This restaurant fully opened on Dec 10, 2021. Their menu features hot dogs, hamburgers, sausages, chicken, plant-based options, beer, and cocktails. Their meats and toppings are what make them outstanding. Being familiar with the other two Dog Haus Biergarten restaurants in Montgomery County, my wife and I decided to check out this location. We got a Hangover burger, a Little Mule burger, and a Sam Adams Cold Snap beer.    The Hangover burger had white American cheese, smoked bacon, haus chili, fried egg, and mayonnaise inside 4 King's Hawaiian rolls. The hamburger was tender and moist with a savory flavor. It was umami galore with the combination of burger, bacon, chili, and runny egg yolk. They put together salty, spicy, sweet, and umami flavors to make a well-rounded burger. This was an impressively flavorful burger! FYI, they claim that their beef comes from 100% genetically tested, humanely raised, hormone- and antibiotic-free Black Angus cows at Creekstone Farms.    The Little Mule burger had avocado, white American cheese, tangy pickled jalapenos, crumbly cotija cheese, a runny fried egg, and chipotle aioli inside 4 Kings Hawaiian rolls. The jalapeños stood out against a background of complimentary umami flavors. My wife loved it! Get this if you want a savory burger with a spicy kick and a bit of tanginess.    The Samuel Adams Cold Snap beer is a seasonal beer available from January until March. It is a white ale that was a touch malty with herb and floral notes. Easy to drink and reasonably priced. You should try it while it's still available!    The service was quick for ordering but slow in cooking. It took 50 minutes for our food to arrive. There was one woman handling all of the customers. The bartender was helping her when he wasn't busy. There were plenty of customers on this day, so the delay was understandable. The dining room and restrooms were clean. The restrooms were locked and required a numeric code to enter. The code was posted under the keypad. Strange. There were napkin dispensers at each table. Thank goodness because the burgers were super messy to eat! The sodas and water were self-serve. They have carbonated water available in the soda machine. There were lots of wall mounted large screen televisions around the dining room. So, it's somewhat noisy in there. Overall, the food was very tasty, the atmosphere was casual and relaxed, and the location was in an upper middle class business area. Parking is available at Wayne Ave Garage, 8506 Fenton Street Garage, and 833 Wayne Ave parking lot at Whole Foods Market. I would gladly recommend this restaurant as long as staffing is appropriate. read more

I came to Dog Haus during happy hour the other day, and wasn't particularly impressed. I liked the little outdoor shopping area it was located in, but the ambiance of the restaurant itself left a lot to be desired. I ordered one of the IPAs on their menu (which was not an easy menu to read because it kept switching between different screens with beer options, rather than having all of the options on one screen) but received a different IPA. The beer I got was still good, but definitely not what I ordered. It also took a few minutes to get the attention of someone to take our order, despite the restaurant being completely empty. I might be back to try their food, but this experience could have been better. read more

I would say 3.5 stars. It's a really cool spot in the downtown area with so many beer options. We decided to start with the Buffalo wings (6 for $13.50 is a bit steep however) and they were really delicious. We were presently surprised and would definitely go back to get them again. We ordered the wings first, but they came out at the same time as the rest of the food we ordered after the wings so that was a little sad. We had to decide what to eat first and what to allow to get cold. I ordered the the Little Mule burger and it had a lot of nice flavor combos but the burger itself wasn't very flavorful. Wish it had come out after the wings so I could have eaten it while it was hot. Ryan tried the Chili the Kid and he really liked it, although not his favorite he's tried so far. We would definitely come back as the wings really were that great **just to address the comment from the owner: definitely agree IF we had ordered all the food at once (we were sitting at the bar). We ordered the wings a full 15 minutes before we ordered any other food. Like I said, wings were that good and we'll be back for them. read more

Interesting food but not my vibe if I'm looking for hot dogs. Weird taste with the Hawaiian rolls. On the downtown mayo was the entire taste of the meal. On the old town dog the crispy onions were tasty! But again the Hawaiian roll made the whole thing sweet. Willing to give it one more shot to see if I just ordered the wrong thing. read more

My experience was excellent. The location is nice and pretty spacious in size. Got there around 6:00 pm on a Friday and it wasn't crowded. Which is right up my alley. Although more people had filled up the bar and other seating area by the time me and my friend left. But it was enough space so it didn't feel overcrowded or anything. The man who greeted us and took our order when we came in was very nice and patient. Your order is placed at the front register and they bring it to your table or bar area if you choose to sit there. My margarita was ready immediately after I paid. Food didn't take too long to come out. My burger and tater tots were really good. Made to perfection. My friend got a chili haus dog and onion rings, which they enjoyed as well. I would definitely come back. Maybe sit at the bar. All the staff were nice and professional. 5 stars!! read more

Dog Haus is a bit of a regional chain, but they deliver. This one has the perfect location for a quick dinner before a movie at AFI or concert at the Fillmore. The space is huge and inviting, and best of all, the beer choices are plentiful. You will find something tasty to enjoy. Tried this place 1 more time this past week. So underperforming and disappointing. You have to consult a touch screen to pull up menu and order. If you want any desciption of listed drafts, you need to walk over to chalk board 12' high and consult and remember draft #, return to touch screen, etc. When your beer is delivered there is zero inquiry into how are you, ned water. Most minimal servic and zeto upsell. The burger on 4 slider bunswas greasy, mushy, and blah though spiced. The menu seems all about offeing the fewest ingredients possible, just recasting, renaming items. Finally, the seat is hard surface fast food like: they don't want you to relax, to stay, to order more. What a bottom of barrel experience. Eat there and you will be in the dog house. read more
