This place was formerly Stella Nonna. The restaurant is hard to see because the store front is offset from the street and there's no signage on the sidewalk. I think this place is a chain but the entrance and decor was nice with many many beer choices and food choices as well. There was a lot of room especially since there weren't many people there. You can order at a table, on a screen or with a cashier. My sister ordered a smash burger, my friend ordered a cheeseburger with bacon, I had the grilled chicken sandwich. We also had the onion rings and fries which were very tasty. They were all well prepared and delicious. There's an outdoor patio area if you prefer to eat outside. It's very casual and comfortable. I would recommend giving it a try!

I ordered takeout from Dog Haus Biergarten and had a good experience overall. For a chain, the food was better than expected. I tried the Ringer, and the Hawaiian roll bun really stood out. It adds a slightly sweet contrast that works well with the rest of the flavors. The tater tots were crisp and really good, exactly what you want on the side. Since this was takeout, I did not try any of the beer, but the service was spot on and everything was handled smoothly. I will definitely be going back to try some of the beers on tap.

3.5 stars $13.77 for the Reservoir Hog. Was pretty good. Just not sure eating a fancy hot dog is truly worth the price though. The big draw has to be the weekend crowd, the craft beer, and the multitude of big screens. Good beers though.

I randomly came to watch a few of the world cup games and I'm so glad I did! They had a lot of really good beer and cocktail selection as well as indoor and a small outdoor patio as well. We came during happy hour and it did get pretty packed but the food still came out pretty quick. We ordered some tater tots, chicken wings, chicken tenders, and some sliders. Everything we ordered was really good but I think my favorite was the chicken wings, they were so well seasoned and crispy. The chicken tenders were also really good -- well seasoned and super tender. I wasnt the biggest fan of the sliders but only because I'm not the biggest fan or Hawaiian roles but friends I went with loved the sliders because of this so it just comes down to personal preference. Ambiance is also nice, definitely a great place to get together, catch up, and have some yummy drinks and food!

Came to watch the France vs Spain game with a couple of friends. The tv placement is horrible for the tables. Ordered a chicken sandwich, which had a super stale fried onion. The chicken itself had just come out of the frier, but all I could taste was salt. The cashier was the only server and could tell he had a lot on his plate. Regardless he was kind and helpful, which was unfortunately the only positive of this outing.

Winner of the 1.21.26 trivia night! I'd like to thank my tiny but mighty team of 4 for this award. It was well deserved. We played really well together! I love our team name (: Also the happy hour was great! Shout out to the solo server who got us everything we needed from loaded tots to fruity ciders. Will be back with more friends!

Food was great! No complaints. There were only 4 people when we went and they had a tiny parking lot that fits 4 cars and 1 handicapped. They allow dogs inside and they have plenty of outdoor seating as well. Staff was very friendly and kind. If you need to use the restroom the staff needs to put the code in for you.

Stopped by for their free tots/fries promo, which was cool, but the service was a bit slow since there was only 1 person working the front. Also couldn't use the kiosk for the deal, so I had to order in person. The staff member was really nice and helpful though, so no complaints there. One thing I thought was interesting was how they give you a QR code and you still have to pay through Snackpass even if you order at the counter. I got the Sooo Cali Haus Dog, and it was pretty good. Loved the brioche bun and the fresh avocado. The sauce had a nice flavor too. The hot dog itself could've used a bit more seasoning. It wasn't dry but not super juicy either. The tots were solid. Crunchy and well-portioned (especially for being free).

Dog Haus is providing to-go and delivery app service right now, but will soon open for indoor dining. In fact, they may have done so by the time you read this. Call or check their Instagram. When dining in, you can order at the kiosk or by QR code at the tables. If picking up, you also have the option of ordering by app. We had the Reservoir Hog Sausage and Sooo Cali Dog (both on King's Hawaiian Rolls) and Chili Cheese Tots. Everything was delicious. The chili was great, with a touch of heat, and no beans, just the way I like it. The toppings on the hot dog and sausage didn't overpower the meat and added a lot of flavor. I especially liked the sauce on the Cali dog. The tots were crisp and the cheese, chili, and scallions were perfect on top. We ordered fountain drinks, but there are plenty of alcoholic beverages to choose from. We received friendly and helpful service! There's usually plenty of street parking, but I appreciate that this has its own little parking lot.

As the fun silly drink lover I am, I had to try the green curry martini the moment I saw it on the menu. And I made the right choice! Somehow, it really reminded me a lot of green curry, but not in an off putting way. It was tart and refreshing, with a hint of spice (though those with lower spice tolerance might have a tougher time with this drink), and pretty herbaceous. Bartenders were very nice and got the drinks out quickly (came in at 6:30 on a Thursday), but it didn't look rushed. SUPER cozy vibes, perfect for either a catchup with friends, or even a date. At the time we came in, there was ample seating. One thing I regret? Not trying their famous hot dogs and espresso martini slushie. Looks like I'll have to come back soon.

(+) Complimentary self-serve popcorn with various seasoning options. (+) Spacious with horse-shoe shaped bar + cafe tables. (+) Low-key vibe, mainly millennials on an early Saturday evening. (+) TT friendly during the earlier hours. (+) Mostly friendly staff. (-) Street parking can be a pain...your best bet is the side streets.

Both the drink and food menus are well thought out. We asked for some advice when ordering and the server (owner?) was very kind, honest, and helpful. Everything we had was excellent! We tried some standard choices and unusual ones and it was all amazing. Best veggie pakora (flavor, texture, and sauce) in the area. The spices across the board were artfully dimensional and delicious, not just hot or overwhelming. The cocktails and mocktails were really nice- a little unusual (distinctive, but not weird). We started to see Shattuck 'wake back up' if you will, as most places close and reopen around 4:30-5:00pm. Service was quick, and if we weren't on our own food tour de Berkeley, would have ordered a couple of happy hour snacks or just stayed for dinner. Tupper and Reed still stands tall above everyone else. I stopped in on a Saturday evening, feeling pretty mellow. After I arrived, a band started up that reminded me of the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack. You can't beat the ambiance, since this was an old music store, and the please is littered with antique record players and instruments. There are some negative reviews here about rude, more accurately, unresponsive bartenders, and I don't think they get what this place is all about. If you want a chatty, friendly bartender, go to an Irish pub. This place is all about creating unique concoctions in volume. Having said that, I'll tell you a story. In March 2019, I was with a chatty bartender here, since it was a quiet night. I was looking at the vast array of bottles, and noticed something that said "Buffalo Trace" but looked different from their usual bottle. I asked her what it was, and she didn't know. It had about three fingers left at the bottom, so she looked at me mischievously and said, "wanna finish it with me?" So we did. Turns out, that 375 ml bottle was worth about $300. It was one of their experimental batches, made with oats in 2002. I found a bottle online in England and got it shipped here. Best whiskey I've ever had.
