If you base your visit on the property, you will be really surprised. The place is a real dive. Old posters of dead stars and shabby building does nothing for the service and food in the establishment. The owner was fantastic. He was quick to serve, recommended the perfect items and was constantly communicating. We ordered the flautas, the mad pig burger and half and half fries with one half being coated in tons of cheese and chorizo. The flautas may have been the best my wife and I have tried in El Paso. The burger was really good if you like smash burgers. I thought it would be dry but it wasn't. The fries were thick cut home fries cooked to perfection. Everything was served right off the grill. Super fresh. We will definitely be back and highly recommend going if you are around the area.

So I will try and keep this as simple as possible. Growing up in Juarez, this burger tastes like the "idea" of what an American burger should be and taste like. From watching characters on tv to movies the way this burger tasted and looked was everything I had dreamed of. A smash burger wonderfully done with cheese. Their other tier burgers are pretty amazing, but their og and star of the show is the one you should try. Add the toppings later, and for the first time enjoy what a perfect cheeseburger SHOULD taste like.

We got our burgers to go and enjoyed them within the confined of our home. You will make your order on their iPad, but you can also order ahead of time. Usually there is a line with these guys but since it was a pop up on our side of town, we ordered with them on the spot. I enjoyed a Double Mando, and was impressed from their made from scratch sauces that gave the already flavorful smash burgers even more pop. The caramelized onions and hatch chile gave the burger texture. The kids scarfed down their OG Skywalkers - so I know it was good. We shared an order of fries and it was a wrap! I was ready for Order 66 to happen to me. It was a great experience. Too bad they haven't been around EP-proper in awhile, but I'm always on the lookout.

There were a few of us so we were ordering a lot of different food to try out, don't judge. Lol Anyway I saw that they had tacos Al Pastor but by this point I wanted a hot dog. Lo and behold they had a Pastor Dog. Yes please! It took maybe a total of 5 minutes for them to get that hot dog to me. This thing is loaded with beans, nacho cheese, and pastor meat, underneath all of it is a grilled hot dog Frank and it is accompanied by a Chile torreado on the side. When I tell you that this was literally some of the best pastor meat I have ever had.... this was literally some of the best pastor I have ever had. Pastor, to me, is one of the styles of cooking meat that is indicative of whether a place is good, excellent, or sub par. Kind of like bbq places, I judge them based on the brisket and the pork ribs. Taquerias/ Mexican places are judged based on the Pastor, Carne Guisada (if they have it) and Carne Asada. Top notch Pastor. Come here to try it, it is amazing! Like literally so much so that, while I was still waiting for my pupusas, we went back and ordered mini tacos al pastor, papas locas and corn in a cup. As you can imagine the pastor tacos were phenomenal. The Papas Locas were interesting, I'd never had them before and it was basically potato chips in a cup, with Valentina hot sauce and I believe a little soy sauce and lime juice as well. I added the Japanese peanuts too. It was odd and interesting but I liked it and I find myself craving it as we speak. Here is where I break with my previous opinion of this place, the corn in a cup.... how do I say this gently? Okay you know what? No, I'm just going to say it, It was terrible. Like I don't even understand what was going on in this cup. There was a substance in this cup that I really don't know what it was. Was it cheese? Was it hominy? The broth was bland and had no flavor and I would not recommend this to anyone to try. Maybe it was just an off day for the corn gods? I'm hoping because everything else was so flavorful that this was an unpleasant surprise. Literally, we took two spoons of it and threw the rest away. All in all, I'd say, 4.5 stars, but since we can't do half stars, I'll go with 5 because that pastor was top notch.

The burger as it comes is absolutely enormous. I ordered a double for my son. Meat patties were machine cut, which makes me wonder if they're frozen? But the toppings were cut and grilled on stovetop. The smell is great. Comes with a hearty amount of toppings. No side included nor are there kids sizes.
