Every once in a while I order a chicken doener plate here. The last few times I've noticed that they have really cut down on the meat, sadly!!!! We pay a high price for the plate and the least they could do is put the meat in, I seriously had to poke around through all the lettuce to fine a few pieces. Stop cheaping out on us!! You had a great reputation and I've recommended your restaurant to several people. But if this keeps up: I'll stop recommending. You know what you're getting at Doener. They typically serve beef or chicken in a pita-type pocket, with lettuce and sauce. You can get half or full size options. They have variety to choose from, such as a spätzle plate, crepes, soup (borscht) and now onions rings (which are delicious). AND they have a variety of desserts, oh my goodness. I was there for lunch today, a first time visit. I had the "combo", a doener, fries and a drink. Approx. $15.00 including tax. I had to get my own drink, and then find a place to sit. I waited a long time, with a number on the table, so the server could see where to deliver the order. Finally, I saw someone going from table to table asking people if they ordered the "combo". When she was near me, I motioned to her that, that was most likely my food. She set it down, and I had to ask for some cutlery because she came without any. The fries were all right, but the doener was horrible. It had a super dried out pita shell, that fell apart for starters. Then it was almost all shredded lettuce and sauce. One very small tomato slice, and the meat was hard, cold and barely visible. No exaggeration, there was almost no meat on the thing at all, so no taste either. I then noticed people taking their dirty dishes to a cart by the exit. Was I suppose to clear my own table? I guess so. I also noticed none of the staff looked very happy to be there. Very disappointed. The doener plate was covered under salat. The beef was chunky not sliced like it supposed to be, it contained a sweet sauce (salsa) and the doener of my wife had no tomatoes or onions in it. There was no beef on the rotisserie so was the beef reheated? Left most on the plate. Never again. read more

I got a "small" falafel for about $6 CAD. What do you expect for $6? I expect something that is more than snack-sized. Do I really need to spend 8 or 9 dollars to get a full round of pita with some deep fried chick pea balls? This isn't Toronto. I was expecting a small to be a full (6-inch) pita round, with veggies and falafel balls, and a large to be, like, the 12-inch pita size or something. It was a HALF of a small pita-type round, and it was a joke, and not especially good in any way. I think my "small" had one small falafel ball broken up in it, with lettuce and some "tzatziki" (I was told they use tzatziki and hummus in the falafel (??), but there was little sauce, and there was certainly no fresh yogurty-garlicky zing. I got the combo with sweet potato fries and a drink for $11 + tax, and I have to say that the sweet potato fries were fresh, hot and delicious, and they came with what I think was chipotle mayo, which was good. read more

I tried this restaurant for the first time the other day and I have to say, I was very pleased with what I got for the money. I ordered an original chicken doener (approximately $9) and it was the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. Hands down, the best restaurant in Steinbach. read more

Came in wanting a döner. What I got instead was lumpy pieces of meat in a pancake. They were out of buns, so they instead offered to stuff all of their ingredients in a crepe which had the thickness of Kim kardashians ass, I could not taste the meat or anything besides the crepe whatsoever.
