Over a 10-minute difference, I was immediately spoken to in a confrontational way about being late, not checking my emails, and being charged for the additional time. I've never encountered a service provider charging in 10-minute increments, or spoken to a customer the way they did. Even though trying to push for additional revenue for 10 minutes is quite unexpected, I still said the charge was fine. My issue was how I was treated. They then gave me conflicting answers about my dog's rabies paperwork, argued about it in front of me, and repeatedly called my dog by the wrong name. Overall, I found the interaction extremely unprofessional, unfriendly, and lacking basic customer service; especially surprising for a business that works with pet owners every day. A 10-minute misunderstanding did not warrant this kind of treatment. I left because of how they spoke to me and handled the situation, not because of the fee or paperwork. The sign at the door suggests they accept new customers, but reality is unfortunately they do not know how to do that.

After a short tour my mind was put at ease and I was excited for Marty staying here. He has had a number of kennel experiences but nothing compares to the high level of care he received here. They truly love and understand dogs. All Covid related precautions are in place. Wonderful people, lovely service, and exceptional dog care.

They are flexible and supportive and the dogs look to be having a blast (my youngest daughter thinks of it like a sleepover for dogs!). Anyway - - we love the fact that they are stored in cages and that they essentially get the run of the place. Your dog simply can't be in better hands and we will continue driving from Ottawa to Area K9 each and every time we need a place to put our dog for a few days.
