First time in today and my husband & I were both pleased. We ordered the Doda's Special pizza as that seemed to be a popular choice with other Yelpers. It didn't disappoint! All those wonderful toppings along with the extra cheese....YUM, but it was the crispy crust that put it over the top. Found this place just doing a Yelp search because I was craving pizza & knew I didn't want one of the basic places. There really isn't that many good pizza places over on the west side, but I have finally found one. The moment you walked in you felt welcomed. The staff was incredibly friendly and made you feel like family. We got an order of wings, fried zucchini, the white pizza and a pep and sausage. We got the smallest size, a 14 in and man it gives a lot of food, no complaints about it though! The wings came out crispy and fresh and were very good. We will definitely be back! read more

Holy pizza! My husband and I went to New York for our honeymoon. Needless to say, we tried a ton of New York pizza. The good and the bad. Doda's is THE best (doo-dah or doh-dah?). Papa John ain't got nothin on this place. The pizza was thin and crispy on the bottom, like a good pizza should be. Huge slices, New York style. Their sauce was on point. We got a half cheese and pepperoni. My husband is a pure cheese and pep guy. But he wants to go back and try the blanco! I almost fell out of the booth. Speaking of, atmosphere was laid back. You can sit at whatever street booth is available in "New York" and watch a couple games on the TV. I am all about that. People there are so down to earth too. You can tell its family owned. They've only been there 2 years. Why are they not more popular. The word has to be spread folks. They're in the arrowhead area, a good spot. Go check them out. Not too fond of pizza? That's cool. Try their other italian dishes! My next try is manicotti. One of my favorite italian dishes. I'll be sure to get that next time we go in... and maybe a slice of pizza too read more

The pies are good size and taste pretty good for a pizzeria out here in the west. It was a little undercooked so we baked it for about 7 mins more at 500 in our oven at home and it turned out great. Will definitely be back. read more

Odd. I never really thought about a pizza place so much I came back 3 times within 2 days. I don't know how I should feel. Do you love me Dodas? Or do I love you? Maybe we love eachother? Your food definitely says you love me but my attendance says I'm in love with you. I found this place because I wasn't feeling good and felt I was about to pass out. I went inside and sat down and regained myself. I decided let me just order something and chill out. I ordered two slices of pepperoni pizza, with ranch of course. Although I wasn't feeling the best they brought it out to me. It looked.. different. It tasted.. AMAZING. I sat there and ate and ate. Nobody bothered me and I took the rest to go. I thought man if I pass out after this and go to the hospital its totally fine. At least I know I've had an excellent meal. The pizza was greasy. Which upon noticing had me a little worried I was gonna be sitting on the toilet.. and you know. BUT let me tell ya, it wasn't like that at all and I actually enjoyed that little bit of grease. The pizza was crispy but still soft enough to fold and stick together. Pizza had great flavor. It was nothing over bearing or too rich. Cheese had a great taste. Sauce was not crazy or over the top too much. Great ratio. Pepperoni was excellent as well. No ingredients on the pizza over powered one another. Nothing like dominos or Pizza hut. This pizza is more simple and just GOOD. It all worked together but didn't slap you in the face. It just kinda cuddled you. The ranch it great. Definitely not that itcky ranch that doesn't go good with pizza. It complimented it really well. I would say order 1 ranch per slice. Slices are huge! They are thin but 1 slice is enough to have me comfortably full. Also you get a drink with your meal. Thank you Dodas for doing that. I hate going to places nowadays where thats always extra with a combo meal. Dodas is nice enough to include it. Pepsi products my friends. The place is small, clean and super cute. Nothing crazy but cute enough for a date. I like it. Everything flows well. I wouldn't suggest a party bigger than 5 unless your willing to separate to different tables. I just wanna add that I enjoyed sitting here listening to them cut the pizza. You definitely can hear how crunchy it is! read more

I am so impressed with this place! The pizza is so good. The crust is what sold me, so fresh with a nice thick crisp to it. The restaurant is extremely clean and the employees are wonderful. They are on top of the upkeep of turning the tables and they have signs at each table saying if they are clean or not. We ordered the large pizza and wings special. I struggled to find a picture of a Margherita Pizza with less cheese than this. We went based on a friend's recommendation but were a little disappointed. The pizza was good, not amazing. We enjoyed the boneless wings but for some reason the sauce on the bone in version was very thin and watery. The service was friendly, but the food wasn't ready until about 20 minutes after the expected time. They do have several tables for dining with NYC themed decorations as well. Doda's Pizza recently opened by the Petsmart strip mall in Glendale on Bell Rd. This is a small very casual pizza place that serves REALLY GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Almost East Coast Style Pizza!!!!!!!!!!!!! We tried a plain slice and a Spinach, Mozz, Ricotta, Sauce Pizza. Really Good! This pizza is the very first pizza I tried since I moved here over 10 years ago that reminds me of east coast pizza. Not as oily like New York but more like New Jersey or Pennsylvania. The kind of pizza that comes from pizza shops that might be in walking distance from your house. The mozzarella cheese has flavor to it (not the ricotta...it taste like Arizona ricotta), The sauce is thick with the right amount of sweetness, the pizza taste like pizza and is seasoned and the crust is very close. It has flavor and a nice crisp bottom. On the spinach pizza they used fresh spinach. They offer all kinds of sizes and two choices of thickness of pizzas, many varieties including a green chili one that interests me. Lunch special and lots more. The family that runs the place was friendly. Don't walk......... RUN to Doda's to try East Coast Style Pizza! read more

I lived for 20 years in N. Babylon, NY, on Long Island. They have the best slices ever there. My husband was born in Brooklyn and knows good pizza. Retiring here in AZ, finding NY pizza has been difficult. I happened to stop in to Doda's on a whim and finally have found pIzza that rivals Mangia's on Long Island! It was awesome! Delicious pizza! I ordered the Monster. Crust and topping were fantastic. I prefer my veggies (green peppers and onions) to be cut smaller, but not a big complaint. Went there for the first time last night. Was quickly impressed by how the young man behind the counter spoke to people leaving, warmly telling them not to worry about cleanup on the table. I ordered a steak sub. It took a good while longer than I expected but when I received it I too was treated kindly, as it was brought to the table and when I asked for hot sauce that was promptly received. I thought the sandwich was quite good with good quality ingredients. I like my stuff well toasted so I well request that next time but they did a good job. I think it's really cool how it is an apparently family run business. It was a little challenging when one of the family members was asking me about Christmas just bc this is my first year with literally zero blood relations, but it was still nice that they care to try and connect with customers. I think that that is really a smart approach especially in an age where it is uncommon. I was born in NY and have never had pizza to rival my favorite small pizza shop there near union square, but I look forward to sampling what this family has up their sleeves.
