I came here the other day and ordered about $50 worth of food. I bought all four cheesecakes for a party that I was going to. The strawberry one was by far the best. There was blueberry, sweet potato, and cookies ' creme Oreo as well, but I don't recommend the Oreo one. The texture nor the taste hit right. I also ordered a combo meal of seafood mac 'n cheese, chicken drummettes, and collared greens. The texture of the chicken drummies was great as was the taste. The mac 'n cheese and collared greens, on the other hand, were both good at first taste, but PHEW, they were salty! I am shocked that people are able to consume this much sodium per meal. I don't recommend these two sides even for people who are not watching their blood pressure. It was very hard finishing them. Nearly a 30-minute wait with only 2 customers in front of me because the only available server kept prioritizing online orders before the actual customers in line. This place was amazing. Went to the Hyattsville location, and while the seating area is very small... That does not take away from the amazing, and flavorful cuisine. What's even better is that you can see in the back of the kitchen where they are prepping food, to let you know your food is placed with all vegan ingredients I had and falling off from being a vegan the last year or so, after being really successful for two years earlier... All I can say is WOW! My partner and I wanted to try something new so we pulled up to this spot. When I called my order I was greeted by Victor. Very nice and affable. And he remembered me when I walked in! A1 customer service and friendly throughout the entire process. I ordered the general tso's cauliflower chick'n with collard greens and plantain fries. BOMB! Ugh its so good. I need the recipe for real. And my man got the crab cake sandwich with coleslaw and seafood salad. First of all that seafood salad is TO DIE FOR. I could eat that everyday lol. I'm amazed because they really mastered the flavors of real meat/seafood and it tastes just like it. It was like a distant memory having that food since I haven't eaten animal products in a while. I stopped in for a dessert to go not realizing they serve entrees. After sampling the General Tso's cauliflower I ended up grabbing a meal and two sides. The server offered samples so I could try a few things before making a choice. The place was clean, everyone was masked and I walked away with delicious well-priced food. I ordered the Chicken Tenders and the Mac and Cheese. As an avid "chicken nugget person" since a child... I was too curious to not try this dish. I was very surprised at the flavor and texture of the "chicken." I didnt expect "fiber shreds" when I bit into it (see photo). It was seasoned well and fried well. The Mac and cheese was good. Theres something in it that seems familiar to me, I cant place my finger on it. I wouldnt personally order from here intentionally (my work provided lunch today and this was the choice), but I think Dodah's has an overall great food quality and I think it's a very good replacement for Vegans. Amazing place ! I tried it for the first time the other day and the portions are very generous and affordable. The food was so good! They let you try samples because there's so much to choose from. I got the fish entree and the Mac and cheese as a side because I wasn't that hungry but it was more than enough food! The fish is great. I liked that Mac and cheese more so flavorful. The top layer of vegan cheese is my favorite part I wish there was more throughout or if I could get it on the side it would be 10 stars!! The drinks are very healthy! read more

I also purchased a mushroom cold salad that reminded me of pepper steak in appearance..It's a hard no unless you need mushrooms to place in an already cooked dish and the store is close to purchase some. Solid vegan food; well seasoned. I picked up General Tso's cauliflower, 'seafood' Mac and mixed veg. The cauliflower satisfied the Chinese food craving - it was a bit a salty but also sweet, which would've lent well to sticky white rice. The store is small but super cute, styled modernly and branded well, with the bold logo prominently placed throughout. There is no misses at this place. Everything I have ordered since they have opened has been great. There hot bar food is fresh and tasty and the made order food is incredible. My non-vegan kids can't keep their grubby hands off of my drummies and the misses loves the General Tso's cauliflower. I find the food a bit cleaner than NuVegan but both spots are great for world class vegan food in the DMV. read more

Dodah's Kitchen was a very nice surprise spot I found while visiting the Arboretum. Craving something quick and hearty, Dodah's did just that! We both ordered the vegan crab cake, I ordered collard greens, and my partner ordered the vegan seafood Mac n cheese. For desert I grabbed both blueberry and sweet potato vegan cheesecake! The crab cake was on the saltier side, but maintained great flavor and savoriness. It had a great crust and a crumbly yet cakey interior. The collard greens paired well to cut the saltiness. The Mac had a wonderful seafood flavor! Taking 1 - 2 bites was so delightful then a 3rd bite would bring the saltiness to fruition. I'm glad the flavor isn't masked by the saltiness (as vegan places often do), but it was too salty to have more than a couple bites in a row. Both cheesecakes were great!
